Anderson Cooper has long been synonymous with CNN, as he joined the network in 2001 before landing his own show – Anderson Cooper 360° – in 2003. Right now, the network is facing potential changes due to the Paramount Skydance/Warner Bros. Discovery merger. If that agreement is solidified, Paramount would take ownership of CNN, and it’s been rumored that CBS News’ Bari Weiss would run it. Weiss and Cooper previously worked together, and the former allegedly doesn’t want to again. With that, Cooper’s reportedly making plans.

For context, Weiss and Cooper previously worked together on 60 Minutes during the final stretch of the latter’s tenure on that show. Cooper exited the news magazine series this past May, citing a desire to spend more time with his kids as his reason for stepping down as a correspondent. It was later reported by The New York Times, however, that Cooper told colleagues at CNN that he refused to work with Weiss, who was named the head of CBS News in late 2025. Reps for Cooper have neither confirmed nor denied that.

Sources have since alleged to RadarOnline that Weiss’ hiring prompted Cooper to step away from his post at the conclusion of his contract. One insider also claims Cooper will step away from CNN if Weiss is put in charge. As to why he’d have no problem doing that, the insider reported the following claim:

Further claims were made by another source, who said Cooper reportedly “wasn’t comfortable with the direction [60 Minutes] was taking under Bari” Weiss. Notably, when he signed off the show for the final time, he stated his hope that “60 Minutes remains 60 Minutes.” Another insider now alleges that if the CBS News head were to make her way to CNN, Cooper would reportedly have one course of action:

Much has been said about the state of CBS News and 60 Minutes as of late, considering the host of staffing changes that have happened as of late. Weeks after Anderson Cooper signed off for the final time, several correspondents and producers were let go, including Sharyn Alfonsi, Cecilia Vega and Tanya Simon. Longtime series alum Scott Pelley was also fired after accusing Weiss of “murdering” 60. Pelley and others have since claimed the show has lost editorial autonomy and that political partiality is in effect. Weiss and others at the company have denied those claims.

Bari Weiss’ purported workplace tendencies have been criticized, with insiders even saying that her morning meetings had allegedly become tense. However, a more recent report suggested that Weiss had changed some of her methods of working with her colleagues and was becoming more available to them. All the while, the gears of speculation continue to churn in regard to whether Paramount CEO David Ellison will put Weiss in charge of CNN. As of right now, the exec hasn’t announced any plans on that front.

If CNN were to hypothetically lose Anderson Cooper after the merger, it would mark the end of an era for the network. What’s unclear, based on this latest rumor, is what exactly Cooper would do if he were to love the news network. Still, an insider claims “there are countless opportunities beyond hard news, and Anderson finally has the freedom to pursue them.”

It’s been two months since we watched Stephen Colbert’s final episode of The Late Show, and the comedian has largely been laying low during this time. Whether he’s been focusing on that Lord of the Rings script or just enjoying not being part of the national conversation anymore is unknown, but his Instagram account has remained stagnant since then. That is, until now.

Stephen Colbert’s late-night presence has been missed, if not by CBS, which is now getting beat by the Jimmys in the ratings, then definitely by his fans. I know I've missed his reactions to the Knicks’ NBA championship and other events recently. There was one big day, though, that Colbert couldn’t let pass without some public recognition, as he broke his social media silence with an adorable post.

It was his 7-year-old Boykin Spaniel Benny's happy birthday, and he just had to share a cute post. The pic showed the beautiful brown dog lying on a couch and looking into the camera.

I love how Stephen Colbert’s return to social media was personal, not political, and only time will tell if this was a true return or just a one-off post to celebrate his pup. Either way, it’s such a cute sentiment, and Benny definitely looks like a good boy who deserves his flowers. Hopefully, Colbert's social will be all dog posts from here on out.

Before the Benny birthday post, the most recent photo on Stephen Colbert’s Instagram showed The Late Show host in his final moments, waving to his last live audience, who was giving him a standing ovation.

Those who tuned in for that May 21 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert may remember that Benny made a pretty epic cameo. After spirited performances of “Jump Up” by Elvis Costello, Louis Cato, Jon Batiste and “Hello Goodbye” with Paul McCartney and The Great Big Joy Machine, McCartney and Stephen Colbert literally turned out the lights on the Ed Sullivan Theater.

The perspective changed to a street view, with the building morphing into a snowglobe playing The Late Show theme song. Benny then walks up to the item in the street and sniffs around the snowglobe before Stephen Colbert says from outside the frame, “Come on, Benny. Let’s go,” as you can see below:

The fact Benny was technically the last "person" you see on The Late Show’s final taping speaks to just how much the host treasures his pup, but I still doubt Benny was invited to mosh with Stephen Colbert at the wrap party.

We know that in the days that followed, the comedian took some time for family events that he said were “much more important” than the end of his show. He attended his brother’s wedding in Washington, D.C., that weekend before watching his son graduate from college the following Monday.

Stephen Colbert may not be on our TV screens every night anymore, but it’s pretty clear that he’s got his family and his dog by his side for whatever comes next. Hopefully we won’t have to wait until Benny turns 8 to hear from the former Late Show host again.

The Internet has, frankly, been brutal toward Meghan Markle ever since people found out she’d earned a 2026 Emmy nomination. I mean it when I say brutal. People have been roasting her chopping skills and joking about how she’s so good at “transferring pretzels from one bag to another,” a nod to a now-viral moment in which the actress-turned-royal-turned lifestyle host took the snack from a normal bag and dumped it into a fancier plastic bag. The jokes are ripe for the taking, and have been since With Love, Meghan released, but I do think most fans who are kidding around are missing one important piece of information.

First, here’s one particularly brutal tweet about the Emmy nomination, and a whole slew of people who are befuddled by or snarky about the news.

Like I said, anyone who has actually seen an episode of With Love, Meghan, the lifestyle series that made it for two seasons on Netflix before the streamer canceled it, knows the show is fluff. According to the Emmy nomination, it’s apparently also daytime fluff, as it got put up for a Daytime Emmy Award this TV season, surprising many.

Here is where I think people are missing a major facet of this nomination. Markle isn’t competing against The Bear. She’s not competing against The Pitt (though even the cast thought those noms were fake) or Zendaya in Euphoria. She’s not even competing against other reality shows like RuPaul’s Drag Race or Survivor’s big deal Season 50 nom. She’s not competing against variety programs like SNL or the many various late night programs.

Here are the shows With Love, Meghan is competing against at this year’s ceremony:

• A Different Breed (Inkblot/Purina Films)
• GeorgeTo The Rescue (NBC)
• The Motherhood (Hallmark Channel)

So, how could a show that was so panned (aka "painful to watch") land itself an Emmy nomination? Relatively easy, actually. Shows get submitted via application and then get voted on by a judging panel; it's that simple. Anyone can basically submit. The main criteria is the program needs to be able to be viewable by 50% of "eligible U.S. Households." However, a separate note in the official rundown mentions that programs "made online" and "intended for a national audience" fit the criteria, which seemingly works for With Love, Meghan.

It’s not even the only low-rated show to land a nomination. In fact, the only other show I was fairly familiar with was The Motherhood, a limited Hallmark program featuring Connie Britton working with single moms to help make over their lives with coaching, self-help and more. It’s also not a particularly well-received series, with a 5.0/10 rating on IMDB.

Of these other shows, at least the home renovation series George to the Rescue and the prosthetics for animals show The Wizard of Paws are well-rated on varying platforms. A Different Breed also has reasonably solid reviews, but I think the point is, the average person has probably not heard of the majority of these programs. It’s a relatively easy category to enter, and Meghan Markle could very well land an Emmy if her cards have been played correctly.

When Will We Find Out?

The Daytime Emmys are a little different than the Primtime Emmys you probably think about when awards shows come to mind. Those will hit the 2026 TV schedule on Monday, September 14th on NBC (or for anyone with a Peacock subscription). Meghan Markle and her show will not be in that lauded group, however. The Daytime Emmys happen later this year.

If you want to find out more about the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category and its winners, the Daytime Emmy Awards will be on October 30th, 2026. The big difference between the two programs is the Television Academy hosts the Primetime Emmy Awards. The Daytime Emmys are put on by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Clearly the barriers to entry are different too, but please note that no matter which Emmy you win, the statues are exactly the same.

So, that’s something.

In a lot of ways, The Big Bang Theory followed in the footsteps of sitcom predecessor Friends, particularly in how its ensemble cast became global superstars, and will likely forever be associated with their apartment-dwelling characters. (Remember this reunion?) For Jim Parsons, it’s taken years to properly come to terms with his juggernaut-esque rise to fame, and recently addressed that it was a truly “miserable” time in his life, in part because of how stressed out he made himself on top of other woes.

Appearing on the podcast All Out with Jon Dean (available on YouTube and elsewhere), Parsons looked back at that time of his life and career with fresh eye, and admitted that while it may have looked like heaven from the outside, it was anything but from within. After noting that he stayed sober throughout the first nine seasons of The Big Bang Theory’s, he made this observation:

As opposed to any fun and fancy-free feelings he might have felt about being on one of TV's most popular sitcoms, Jim Parsons seemed to view that success as being a massive amount of pressure to live up to. (Understandably so.) It seems like he was extremely invested in delivering the best version of Sheldon Cooper as he could, and even his method of memorizing scripts seemed intense.

Knowing just how unhappy he was on some levels makes it easier to understand why he was the first cast member who wanted to leave the show, despite others trying to convince him to stay on. And I don't think anyone currently in the process of creating a broadcast TV sitcom should have any hopes for Parsons to sign on as a lead. He plainly stated his career's future will not reflect his past in such a way, saying:

Though he can readily admit that the "somewhat self-tortured nature" is part of why he doesn't feel inclined to ever go back to that lifestyle, and that he regrets that he "missed a lot of life" while stressing over the role of Sheldon Cooper, Jim Parsons is also still appreciative for everything that his years onThe Big Bang Theory helped him to achieve. As such, he doesn't see himself as a bearer of great advice when it comes to other actors who may be in similar positions.

Could Jim Parsons Ever Play Sheldon Cooper Again?

Technically, Jim Parsons has only been completely free from Sheldon Cooper's shadow for a couple of years, as he served as the narrator for CBS' Young Sheldon, and also returned in-person for the series finale in 2024. But he also sounds like he's in a better place mentally and emotionally in terms of carrying that mantle, despite years of reservations over constantly being viewed as his astrophysicist character by fans and the general public.

The most obvious place for a new Sheldon cameo to hit the 2026 TV schedule would be in the new HBO Max comedy Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, which we already know will feature plenty of fan–favorite cameos and easter eggs as it picks up where the OG sitcom left off, albeit in the strangest way possible.

That spinoff’s plot kicks off when the titular comic store owner accidentally damages a high-tech device built by Sheldon and Leonard, which would seemingly already provide a clear and logical way for Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki to reprise their beloved roles. But given the wacky nature of the new show, such reprisals could happen in ways other than straightforward live-action appearances. For example, if Parsons would be more comfortable lending his voice to an animated Sheldon rather than donning a Green Lantern shirt himself, so be it.

Lots of "serious" actors spend ages attempting to distance themselves from heavily embraced roles due to self-image and other issues, only to realize years later that it might have been better to embrace all the fans' appreciation from the jump. Here's hoping that Parsons can find a way to play Sheldon again in the most relaxing and stress-free manner possible.

The drama of 90 Day Fiancé Season 12 has me at a breaking point, and it's because of Marissa Rubinetti and Edward Miguel Gomez's relationship. While I've taken issue with couples this season withholding secrets or ignoring big issues in their own lives, nothing has set me off more than the way Marissa spoke about Edward at the party.

The latest episode to arrive on the 2026 TV schedule centered around Ed meeting her friends, and her coaching him on how he should carry himself during it. She didn't want him talking about baseball or trailing her all night, and while there's nothing wrong with that, the idea that Marissa feared Edward embarrassing her in front of friends really bugged me in a way I can't get over.

The Way Marissa Talks About Edward Is Incredibly Disrespectful

If Edward were a casual boyfriend, some of her comments might've been rude, but understandable. To worry, however, that the man you're planning to marry may not be "intellectually stimulating" enough to entertain you or your friends is pretty offensive and pretty uncalled for.

It's also wild to think it's a worry you'd have when you're on a timeline to marry another person. It's weird to me that the onus is on Edward to prove he can fit into her social circles, rather than on Marissa to create an environment where her friends can meet him in a setting he's comfortable with.

Cultural Differences Aside, Their Age Gap Is A Factor

Marissa talks a lot about cultural differences and how Edward being from the Dominican Republic may not mean he's a good fit for her fast-moving American lifestyle, and we've seen in other past storylines there are hurdles to overcome. Typically, though, it's more Americans coping with the way their spouses live at home, and customs they have that don't mesh with an American lifestyle.

What I feel Marissa brings up a lot less is that there is a significant age gap between her and Edward, and that it's not incredibly surprising a 32-year-old man isn't at the same point in his career as someone in their late 40s. To me, it feels like she has a physical attraction to Edward and is desperately attempting to turn him into something he's not, and that's not the recipe for a stable marriage.

The verdict is out on whether this couple tied the knot, but I think they'll have quite a ways to go to work on their relationship if they don't want to be the next 90 Day couple to split after marriage. Here's hoping that at least some of these rude comments she made are her playing the drama up for the camera, and not that she actually feels embarrassed to be with Edward.

90 Day Fiancé continues on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. I'm continuing to enjoy Season 12, though I would enjoy it a lot more if I felt confident some of these couples are going to end up in healthy marriages!

New Girl, which you can stream with a Disney+ subscription, is the kind of TV show you put on to feel the comfort of a friend. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry - maybe both at the same time - and you’ll fall in love with it all over again, no matter how many times you’ve seen it. (Is it just me? Nope.) A big part of that endurance comes from not just loving the characters separately, but loving the whole ensemble, so the thought of any of the actors not playing exactly the role they were cast in makes me shudder.

One of TV’s funniest sitcoms, New Girl debuted in 2011, as Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel) needed a new place to live after finding out that her long-term boyfriend cheated on her. Her world expanded with roommates Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and Winston (Lamorne Morris), and they became inseparable for seven seasons. But that fantastic foursome almost didn’t happen, in its current ensemble. Here’s what Zooey Deschanel said about it on the Zach Sang Show:

Zooey went on to explain that Jake Johnson and Max Greenfield both became part of the New Girl cast early on. She also knew Hannah Simone should be Jess’s best friend when she saw her smart, deadpan approach to CeCe. The Coach role was tougher to cast, and while they loved Damon Wayans Jr., he had to return to his own show, Happy Endings, leaving a void after the pilot. And then, Lamorne Morris reentered the picture.

The man who brought Winston Bishop to life originally auditioned for the Coach character, before his role was ultimately created. During that time, he had already made an impression on his future co-stars, who all went to bat for him when they needed to round out the ensemble. Zooey continued:

When the chemistry is there, you can feel it, so it’s not surprising that Lamorne Morris rose above the rest for everyone in the cast. And since wrapping the series in 2018, his career has continued to rise as he went on to join the list of 2024 Emmy winners, for his role in Fargo Season 5. (Fans can also see him in the 2026 TV series Spider-Noir, streaming via Amazon Prime subscription.) Thankfully, though, the gut instinct of the New Girl cast won out, and the actor meant to play Winston stepped into the role. Deschanel said:

The comedy is largely considered one of the most rewatchable TV shows ever, and the love it still has makes it ripe for a revival. Who wouldn’t want to see that loveable ensemble together again, especially when they clearly enjoy hanging out together? Back in 2024, Lamorne Morris made it clear that it would take all of them being on board for that to be a possibility and said it was Jake Johnson keeping a New Girl revival from happening. Until then, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed that the stars might someday align for new episodes.

As iconic and successful as it's been, The Big Bang Theory had its share of critics during its run on television. Now, as we reach the point in the 2026 TV schedule where its latest spinoff, Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, comes out, creator Chuck Lorre is firing back. While some may say the original series poked fun or made jokes at nerdy peoples' expense, Lorre has strong feelings pushing against that.

I spoke to Lorre and the other co-creators of Stuart Fails To Save The Universe about the original show's reputation, and how the upcoming series available with an HBO Max subscription feels more "geek-coded" in comparison.

Lorre didn't see his characters as nerdy, nor does he feel the same way as Stuart Fails To Save The Universe and its cast. Kevin Sussman's character still owns a comic shop in the series, ironic because Sussman worked in one as he started out in acting. I wouldn't call Sussman an inherently geeky person, so maybe Chuck Lorre made a good point.

Co-creator Bill Prady, who also helped make The Big Bang Theory, also chimed in. He brought up that, at times, he felt fan complaints characterized him and the writers as punching down on the geeks and nerds. In reality, Prady was pitching and writing moments from his own life:

Prady's point being, even if the show was making fun of "nerds," it wasn't from a place of them being above those experiences or awkward encounters. I don't think it should come as a surprise to any reader that the creators and writers of The Big Bang Theory could also be nerdy, seeing as they invited guest stars like Star Trek's Wil Wheaton regularly.

Now, they've created Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, a series that turns the world of The Big Bang Theory on its head and puts Stuart and friends in wild situations across the multiverse. The trailer for this sci-fi series shows this is a series that feels more like something Leonard and the guys would watch in his apartment, rather than anything that may feel like mockery to its prospective audience.

It's the third spinoff from The Big Bang Theory, and I'm sure HBO is hoping it'll succeed as the next major hit for the growing franchise. Things are a bit different this time around, with the show relying on violence and edgy material rather than wholesome family comedy made for a CBS audience. I'm eager to see how the world responds, and if Chuck Lorre and company can make television magic yet again.

Stuart Fails To Save The Universe premieres on HBO and HBO Max on Thursday, July 23rd. Be prepared for the world of The Big Bang Theory in a way it's never been seen before, and prepare to see some familiar faces in a brand new way.

Okay, so Tom Brady struck Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest over the weekend, in what feels like the latest attempt to convince the world that these two have a real-life feud going on. On top of the insults on Paul's podcast and the WWE superstar's continued insistence that he wants to fight an NFL star, we now have a slap that seemed like it was intended to set the world on fire, and it really just stoked my ire and disbelief.

For those who missed the moment, both celebrities hopped online to tell their side of the story to their respective massive followings. Paul said on X he roasted Brady about beating him in flag football, which occurred earlier this year in Saudi Arabia. Check out the moment below, which was shared by the official Fanatics account:

Usually when unscripted moments like this occur, official accounts aren't apt to directly address moments after it happened. For that, and a couple of other reasons, I'm apt to believe this is promotion for something on the 2026 TV schedule or beyond rather than a real feud between celebrities.

Tom Brady And Logan Paul's Feud Reeks Of WWE Storytelling

While some may debate whether the exchange was scripted or fake, I think any longtime wrestling fan would agree this absolutely reeks of WWE storytelling. A superstar of the company choosing a public setting to start a problem with another notable celebrity? This is a well-known tactic we've seen from many WWE superstars over the decades, with Logan Paul being guilty of it as well.

Remember when Paul caught a lot of heat for being unnecessarily rude about Bad Bunny? This latest moment feels a lot like that, in which Paul was a part of some controversial exchange in a very public setting. To revisit the incidents I mentioned earlier, he's done this a few times with Tom Brady, and while we don't know exactly what's being promoted here, it seems there's some endgame in mind.

It was rumored a while back that Brady might show up at WrestleMania 42, but that didn't pan out. That said, the WWE loves to work with pro athletes, as we saw in the latest Saturday Night's Main Event, in which Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns were involved, as was Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton. Maybe it's a coincidence, but why was Towns in the middle of these two and breaking up the "fight?" The most obvious answer to me is Brady will do something with the WWE here eventually, much like his former teammate Rob Gronkowski.

Compare This To Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock At The Oscars, And The 'Reality' Seems Clear

Neither Tom Brady or Logan Paul is willing to admit this is a staged feud, but let's compare it to a much more famous pop culture slap from the past. When Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped Chris Rock, did The Oscars' social media handler jump online and make sure the account was the first to post the moment for all to see?

It did not, and according to Deadline, the account only issued a text statement two hours after the incident. Additionally, Smith was banned from attending the award show for the next decade. Thus far, there are no reports that any punishment or legal action was taken against or by Logan Paul or Tom Brady for their actions.

And frankly, wouldn't one think that someone of Brady's status wouldn't engage in that behavior publicly if there was a chance of that? He has a huge broadcasting contract with Fox, he's a minority owner for the Las Vegas Raiders, and a future Hall of Famer in the NFL. I would like to think his ego isn't so small that he'd get physical with Paul over something like this, but people can continue to speculate either way.

At this point, I'm just ready to see what this feud between Tom Brady and Logan Paul will build to. Truthfully, I think seeing Brady in a WWE ring would be a trip, so I support it, but if it's something like a cryptocurrency collaboration or shared supplement venture, count me out.

Just in case the first half of 2026 felt like it was severely missing enough Alan Ritchson whupping other people’s behinds — save for Netflix’s War Machine, but that was whupping robotic behinds — the back half of the year is course-correcting in the best possible way. Not only can we look forward to Reacher’s best-year-yet with Season 4 (and the Neagley spinoff) finally arriving on the 2026 TV schedule, but the actor has a whopping three other 2026 movie releases releasing in the next six months. He’s kind of a busy dude.

But he’d be even busier if he somehow was able to take all of the movie and TV offers that landed on his plate immediately after Reacher became one of the most-watched streaming shows available via Amazon Prime subscription. Appearing on CBS Mornings to promote his hardcore new movie Motor City, Ritchson was asked what drew him to the Potsy Ponciroli-directed project, at which point he addressed just how many offers he fielded due to Reacher’s popularity, saying:

I suppose the exact number might never be known, but Alan Ritchson didn't exactly make it seem like he was exaggerating in saying he had upwards of 40 offers waiting for his assessment as Reacher quickly rose through the pop culture zeitgeist. If anything, it's like he's low-balling that number as not to make anyone jealous.

That's a wild amount of job offers to get in any capacity in any industry, and it sounds like the actor did his due diligence when parsing through all of the genre-specific pitches and narratives, picking projects that align with both his talents and his fanbase. With the possible exception of the Kevin James-starring action-comedy Playdate, but at least that movie helped him learn why it's okay to not say "yes" to everything.

Much like Reacher can be a man of few words, Ritchson's Motor City was filmed almost entirely without dialogue, and there are reportedly only around 5 lines of dialogue, with action sequences telling most of the story. In the film, he plays ex-con John Miller, who spent years in jail for a crime he didn't commit, and who immediately goes on revenge journey post-release against the Detroit mobster who framed him and stole the love of his life.

Ritchson shared Motor City stood out from the other 39 or nor so offers he got, saying:

Considering he was still in Jack Reacher's headspace when he read through Motor City, it's perhaps no surprise that found connective tissue between the roles, and thinks of them both as action heroes that audiences can live through vicariously. In his words:

Motor City is set to hit theaters on July 24. How fantastic would it be if this dialogue-lite movie becomes a hit based on word-of-mouth recommendations? And we only have mere weeks to wait until Reacher Season 4 debuts on August 12 with its first three episodes.

It’s an exciting time at Jeopardy!, both on-screen — where Caleb Groen is the latest superchampion trying to become one of Jeopardy!’s biggest winners — and behind the scenes, with the search for a new writer being opened up to the public for the first time ever. In reading about the rigorous application process the potential clue-writers have to go through, I came upon a fact that was surprising to me — there’s one word that is apparently never used on the set of one of the greatest game shows of all time.

Watching new episodes of Jeopardy! as they hit the 2026 TV schedule each weekday has become an integral part of my post-work routine over the years, so I was caught off-guard a bit to learn that one word I would closely associate with the show is apparently off-limits to its employees. As executive producer Michael Davies told CNN:

OK, that makes sense when he says it like that. While Jeopardy! Masters champion Yogesh Raut has had his opinions about the show’s relevance, I definitely wouldn’t call it “trivial.” It definitely seems to be in a more elite class than other question-and-answer game shows.

Admittedly, I tend to use the word “trivia” more as a synonym for facts or general knowledge without assigning importance to those facts. But, if I’m going by Michael Davies’ rules, I don’t exactly qualify as an “elite, modern American” either, because as much as I watch Jeopardy!, I feel I’ve retained shamefully little knowledge about opera or world history (give me “Before & After” or “Triple Rhyme Time” any day though!).

Also, we can’t ignore that many of our favorite Jeopardy! winners have been regulars at their respective trivia nights. And while the Jeopardy! GOAT and current host Ken Jennings doesn’t show up at bar trivia to “stunt on those hoes,” he did come up in the quizzing community before finding fame via his 74-game win streak. (I now have no doubt that professional quizzers would also take offense to the word “trivia.”)

The trivia world has also served Jeopardy! alumni well, with Ken Jennings and others — Austin Rogers and Buzzy Cohen, for example — authoring their own trivia books after finishing their stints on the quiz show.

Jeopardy! and trivia may exist in the same world as each other, but it makes complete sense that Michael Davies and everyone involved in the show would want to protect it from being considered a “trivial” game of useless general knowledge. That knowledge is anything but useless when it leads to big paychecks and even sometimes career opportunities afterward.

We’ll have to keep watching Jeopardy! on weekdays to see who will bring enough smarts to the Alex Trebek Stage to dethrone Caleb Groen, who as of July 17 had accumulated $346,968 in 12 games. Week 2 in Big Brother is already zooming along, as Survivor stars Rick Devens and Dee Valladares continue to tighten their grip on the game. Rick won the Week 2 HOH competition and has already gotten to work uniting his Crossovers and Red Corner alliance into the "Tool Shed" and is angling to take out the other side of the house.

Those watching Big Brother online live feeds on the 2026 TV schedule saw Rick put Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, and Melody Morris on the block, but a bigger plan was on the table. Devens wants to "backdoor" Rome, but Lyric has a plan that could keep them both safe this week.

Devens Won The Week 2 Veto

The power is in Devens' hands to do as he wants this week, which is great because he feels committed to the plan of "backdooring" Rome Seymour. For that to happen, nominations couldn't stay the same, so he's feeling good about taking someone down and putting that plan in action. The question is who he should take down, which remains a hot topic with hours to go before he makes a decision.

Lyric Is Trying To Fake A Breakup With Rome To Save Them Both

Lyric received a lot of criticism for prioritizing her showmance with Rome over playing Big Brother, but she's now locked in and trying to convince the house that their relationship is over. Her pitch to Devens was to use the veto to take her down, and then put Rome on the block so that she doesn't have to suffer for his actions.

Truth be told, it felt like Lyric effectively fooled Devens for a time. He soon spun the narrative to Dee that using the veto on Lyric was a good idea, and they'd be better off targeting Melody to weaken the position of their ally, Drew Campbell, who was maintaining alliances with Houseguests on the "other" side of the house.

Devens has made it clear that he'll go with whoever the majority of his alliance backs to save, but that Rome is going up either way. Obviously Lyric would prefer she be off the block to make the odds better both of them survive this week, so she'll continue to push for that outcome.

I feel like it isn't being talked about enough, but Rome still has the BB Blockbuster to save himself, though Devens seems ready for that possibility. He's hoping he can find a way to work out a deal with Rome and Lyric to protect himself and Dee, should the other side get an HOH win sometime in the near future. I think, ideally, he'd prefer to cut the head off of the snake and take down the alleged ringleader orchestrating a solid alliance outside the Tool Shed, but people who want to win Big Brother always have to be flexible.

When it comes to movie buffs, this weekend is pretty much all about The Odyssey, which hit the 2026 movie schedule this past Friday. The Christopher Nolan-helmed film is an adaptation of Homer’s epic poem of the same name, and it’s been making quite a splash. Not only is the film poised to top the box office this weekend, but Nolan’s latest has also received critical acclaim. All the while, though, a show on Amazon Prime Video is gaining notice as well and actually has a Rotten Tomatoes score higher than Nolan’s new movie.

A Prime Video Docuseries Is Sparking Some Critical Buzz

The series in question is Murder 101, which arrived on the 2026 TV schedule last week, and it seems critics are really digging it. As of this writing, the docuseries has a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. What should be mentioned, however, is that this stellar score is only based on a total of five reviews. Still, that’s impressive due to the review embargo having been open for a little while now.

Murder 101 is a three-part limited series directed by Stacey Lee, and this documentary centers on a high school sociology class in Tennessee that investigates a cold case involving a serial killer. At the center of this story is the case of the Redhead Murders, of which several red-headed women were killed within a six-month span in the Tennessee area between 1984 and 1985. The class’ efforts ultimately inspire law enforcement to reopen the case themselves.

Anyone who enjoys watching various true crime documentaries may want to check out Lee’s docuseries for themselves. What it offers is an examination of a serious case, but it’s analyzed from a unique perspective, that of high school students. Admittedly, I don’t watch true crime often, but I’m constantly amazed whenever unique stories like the one told in this recent Prime Video doc come up.

The Odyssey Is Still Getting It’s Fair Share Of Praise

Nolan’s The Odyssey may not have a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but the score it has is still nothing to scoff at. Right now, the blockbuster has a certified 95% freshness rating based on 370 reviews. So that’s much larger than the pool of pundits that have responded to Murder 101 so far. Also, the film came in hot once the review embargo lifted as it initially peaked at 98%, which is even more amazing. That’s certainly a testament to the talents of Nolan and his team.

This book-to-screen adaptation of Homer’s work represents what’s arguably Christopher Nolan’s most ambitious cinematic feat. What’s most jaw-dropping about it is that a lot of it was shot practically and with minimal visual effects. So this is much bigger than some of Nolan’s earlier films like the acclaimed Memento or the excellent Insomnia, which is a story involving a killer.

Overall, though, entertainment junkies have some quality viewing options to take in this weekend on both the big and small screens. Honestly, I can’t recommend The Odyssey enough so, if you’re able to see it in a theater, head out as soon as you can. Yet, if you can make it to the cinema or have booked tickets for another time, sit back, grab a Prime Video subscription and stream Murder 101 at home.

The news cycle has been dominated over the last few months by the cancelation of The Late Show. It’s been off the air for several months now, and people are still discomfited about it. Apparently, that even extends to the late night hosts. Despite evidence that Stephen Colbert’s TV exit has been good news for the Jimmys in terms of ratings, reports indicate Jimmy Fallon is not in a comfortable place.

In fact, while The Tonight Show seems on relatively solid footing (for now), it hasn’t been the world’s best year for Jimmy Fallon. His other NBC series On Brand With Jimmy Fallon was a spectacular flop. Critics didn’t like it. Audiences didn’t really watch it. NBC aired it erratically on the 2026 TV schedule before canceling it. Now, an insider alleges it all ties together for the late night host.

Speaking with In Touch, the insider also spoke about Fallon’s commitment to the now-canceled TV show, noting the efforts it took to get the competition series on the air. Unlike other newer game shows, including The Floor or 99 to Beat, the concept didn’t basically work right out of the gate, and the whole thing is reportedly upsetting.

Of course, the panned On Brand did not land a 2026 Emmy nomination, and I doubt even the late night host was that surprised given the trajectory of the show in Season 1. To clarify, though, Fallon has pitched shows that worked well before. He’s the mastermind behind Lip Sync Battle, the formerly popular series that Tom Holland still constantly gets asked about years later. (The show ran through 2019 before becoming one of the casualties of 2020.) He’s also an actor and a stand-up comedian, so I’m not really worried he’ll find another avenue if and when The Tonight Show ends.

However, the insider alleges if he wants to move forward with producing content, his next series can’t end like On Brand.

There’s been a lot of talk about where late night TV is going as The Late Show was replaced with Unleashed with Byron Allen and an entirely new distribution model. Meanwhile, it's been Kimmel’s series, especially, that has picked up in the weeks since CBS took a step back. The Tonight Show remains a solid performer, but as we know late night revenue was reportedly down to $220 million in 2024 after being at $439 million in 2018. It paints an ugly picture about the future of late night, and if the insider is correct, it sounds like Jimmy Fallon is trying to set himself up for the future. I wouldn’t blame him.

Kelly Clarkson has talked about how demanding her schedule is on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and following the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, it’s obvious why she’s freeing up time to focus on her kids. However, as she spoke to the crowd on the first night of her new Las Vegas residency, she joked that there was another big benefit to quitting daytime TV — she won’t have to attend any more human resources meetings.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is set to end when its seventh season concludes this fall, but no finale date has yet been announced for the 2026 TV schedule (despite the fact that the host has already wrapped filming). Either way, Clarkson was in full stand-up comedian mode as she candidly celebrated “no more HR meetings.” The expectations in her corporate job were pretty different from what she experienced as a musician growing up, she said in an Instagram video (via TMZ), telling the audience:

Kelly Clarkson joked that some of the HR rules were “dumb,” like not being able to comment when someone lost weight. The singer herself dropped some pounds after she moved to New York, and she argued that being acknowledged made people feel good.

In actuality, the “Since U Been Gone” singer admitted she’s not really the rule-breaker she made herself out to be, telling the crowd that the opposite was closer to the truth:

She joked that the people running the HR meetings would sweat if she were in their class because she was a “curious cat” and would ask lots of questions. She said really getting into it was necessary to protect everyone.

Kelly Clarkson has a tendency to speak freely in front of her residency crowds, and she didn’t seem too concerned about any blowback from NBC about her HR comments, saying:

The Kelly Clarkson Show’s days are numbered, but the artist may want to keep in mind that she still draws an NBC paycheck by being a coach on The Voice. Not that she likely has anything to worry about — even when reports came out about The Kelly Clarkson Show being a “traumatizing” work environment in 2023, accusers alleged Clarkson was neither a part of nor aware of the problems.

The host even reportedly required her senior staff (including herself) to undergo training, probably not unlike what she’s joking about now.

We’re all used to Big Brother players shouting out family members and friends during their live votes each week, but now and again, one of them will drop a reference that makes you do a double take. This week, that person was Rick Devens, who said happy birthday to his daughter, said hi to his wife and son and then name dropped popular director and DC executive James Gunn. Initially, most fans thought it was just Rick being goofy, but it turns out there’s an entire backstory here.

Rick and James Gunn apparently know each other in real life. In fact, there was a plan for Rick and his family to appear in the background of the upcoming Superman sequel Man Of Tomorrow, which Gunn has been on-set directing the past few months. Prior to the shooting day, however, Devens called Gunn and told him he wasn’t going to be able to come anymore for a reason he wasn’t allowed to share. That reason was obviously he was going to be sequestered in the Big Brother House.

Gunn posted a video of Devens shouting him out on Big Brother over on Threads, and when fans asked what the connection was, he talked about knowing Rick in a series of messages. He also said that even though Rick missed out on the Superman shoot, his family did not…

Everyone, even James Gunn, likes being shouted out on television, but the excitement here no doubt ran a lot deeper because Gunn is a noted OG Big Brother fan. As such, that reference definitely hit harder than it would have otherwise. I’m sure he’s loving this season too, given he’s got a friend on the show and also, it’s been objectively a glorious mess so far.

Part of the reason why it’s been such a mess has been Devens himself, who doesn’t know how to do anything other than play hard. He was a menace on both of his seasons of Survivor, finding idols and getting up to all sorts of weird schemes. There aren’t any Idols on Big Brother, but there are plenty of opportunities to cause chaos. To the surprise of no one, Rick has taken advantage of those, forming multiple alliances and taking part in what’s rumored to be one of the wildest nomination ceremonies in the show’s history, which is going to air this evening.

As for Man Of Tomorrow, you can catch James Gunn’s newest a little less than a year from now on July 9th, 2027. Sadly, Devens won’t be a part of it, but we can all look for his wife Becca and their kids in the background.

It may only be July, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the winter season, especially if you're a Hallmark fan. They know doubt know that the holiday season brings snow, hot chocolate, and an insane amount of upcoming movies from Hallmark. We may still be in July but, already, the network is giving viewers a look at the annual Countdown to Christmas lineup, with the films starring plenty of Hallmark favorites. And there’s one that I’m particularly pumped about.

Even though Hallmark is going big this holiday season with a film at Disney World, there are a lot of other upcoming original movies to look forward to. This includes a film called The Nights Before Christmas, which stars Tyler Hynes. A trailer has since been shared for this Countdown to Christmas entry on Instagram, and I'm so eager to check it out:

Also starring Laci J. Mailey, the yuletide flick centers on Hynes’ Marty meeting the love of his life over and over again, á la Groundhog Day. The concept definitely has me curious about what’s in store, especially since I’m a sucker for a good time loop movie. I'm also excited by Hynes' involvement, given his performances in other Hallmark fare, and he most recently starred in I’ll Be Seeing You.

As for Mailey, she's also done a handful of productions with the network, most notably the drama series Chesapeake Shores, which ended in 2022. Considering what's known about the aforementioned network, I’m not surprised it has started showcasing what’s to come for Countdown to Christmas. This is the network that also does Christmas in July, an annual lineup of holiday movies that air in the summer. It does make me sad that The Nights Before Christmas wasn’t part of that lineup, but I can certainly wait a few more months.

Unfortunately, a premiere date has not been revealed for the new movie, but Hallmark usually begins Countdown to Christmas in October or November. With that, viewers could very well could be getting The Nights Before Christmas in a few months. I'm hopeful that a full schedule for the lineup will be released soon but, if history is anything to go on, fans should have a lot to look forward to in terms of holiday flicks later this year. Hynes also did three Hallmark Christmas movies last year, and I’m glad the network is keeping him in the fold.

That aside, one of the other titles within the Countdown to Christmas lineup that viewers should see is Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True starring Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. Hallmark is also building on the NFL partnership by producing Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story, following 2024’s A Chiefs Love Story and 2025’s A Bills Love Story.

60 Minutes has been in a major period of transition as of late, and that can be attributed to the greater leadership changes that have taken place at CBS News in recent months. Bari Weiss was named editor-in-chief of that aforementioned news organization months ago and has instituted sweeping changes. That included several staff cuts at 60. Weiss’ leadership style has since been criticized, and a new report now shares alleged details on how she’s been changing her approach to the job.

How Has Bari Weiss Reportedly Changed Her Ways?

If insiders are to be believed, Weiss has been aiming to create a more upbeat environment at CBS’ news branch. Several individuals with purported knowledge of the matter spoke with The New York Post, with one saying that Weiss now starts her Friday editorial meetings by “celebrating” company victories. With that, she reportedly recognizes employees by name and gives them kudos for their good work. This is apparently a stark departure from past meetings, which would allegedly see Weiss stringently critiquing her colleagues’ work.

Earlier this summer, it was reported that those meetings had become very tense and served as a setting for people to share grievances about politicians Weiss purportedly opposed. The editor in chief supposedly doesn’t want to give off such vibes anymore, as “she made zero effort before, but since the ‘60’ explosion, she’s been very nice to people.” Also, Weiss has supposedly instituted an open-door policy when it comes to her sixth-floor office at CBS. In terms of what sparked this change, a network source attributed it to one thing:

Yet another network insider claimed Weiss always had an open-door policy and that she hadn’t received any formal management training. These alleged details notably arrive as speculation continues to swirl around Weiss possibly running CNN after the merger between Paramount Skydance (CBS’ parent company) and Warner Bros. Discovery. Overall, these claims should be taken with a grain of salt, though what’s known with certainty is that there are a number of employees who are no longer at CBS to work alongside Weiss.

60 Minutes Has Let Go A Lot Of Employees In Recent Months

This past May, longtime 60 Minutes correspondent Anderson Cooper exited the program to spend more time with his children. At the end of that same month, the show also parted ways with correspondents Cecilia Vega and Sharyn Alfonsi along with executive producer Tanya Simon and executive editor Draggan Mihailovich. Recent weeks have also seen the exits of producers Henry Schuster, Nichole Marks and Michael Gavshon.

June marked what would arguably become the most high-profile firing at 60 Minutes, as veteran correspondent Scott Pelley was relieved of his duties. Pelley’s exit came shortly after he had a heated conversation with series EP Nick Bilton (Simon’s successor). During that discussion, Pelley reportedly accused Weiss of “murdering” the news magazine show due to her supposed lack of broadcast prowess and alleged political partiality. While Weiss later claimed she tried to mend fences with Pelley and reach an agreement, he claimed that was not the case.

It’s been alleged that morale at CBS News has been low since Pelley and the others were let go. Per another report, though, Bilton and Weiss are “acutely aware” of the headlines swirling around the brand right now and are seeking to create positive change. The supposed changes Weiss had made would theoretically align with that assertion. Still, even with Weiss’ shifts and Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker and Jon Wertheim still at 60 Minutes, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the show and the company that produces it.

Today Show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie has been contending with the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of her mother, Nancy. Savannah took a months-long sabbatical from the show and eventually returned in early April. Aside from that familial crisis, Savannah has also missed time due to other obligations and, in some cases, good friend and former co-anchor, Hoda Kotb has filled in for her. Now, if a report is to be believed, Guthrie has a request for NBC execs, and Kotb is allegedly involved.

Guthrie was away from Today earlier this month, though it wasn’t because of her mother. Instead, the veteran journalist simply wanted to take some time off and spend it with her family. During that time, the powers that be at NBC had fellow Today Show stars Sheinelle Jones and Laura Jarrett fill in as co-anchor to Craig Melvin. Per an insider who was cited on Rob Shuter’s substack, that was the result of a request from Guthrie. The individual dropped claims about Guthrie’s strong feelings on the matter:

These comments should be taken with a grain of salt though, considering neither Guthrie nor NBC top brass have confirmed that such a conversation was had. However, such rationale would make sense, considering the talent present at the show. Jones co-hosts the fourth hour of Today alongside Jenna Bush Hager and was named to that post this past January. As for Jarrett, has been the co-anchor of the Saturday edition of Today since 2023. So there’s definitely in-house talent to utilize instead of having Kotb come in.

Kotb announced her Today Show departure in September 2024, at which point she’d co-anchored the main show since 2018 and the fourth hour since 2007. At the time, Kotb attributed her decision to a desire to spend time with her two young daughters and venture into new enterprises. For a time, it was even rumored that she’d replace Kelly Clarkson before she formally announced her decision to leave her eponymous talk show. While Kotb’s willingness to fill in for Guthrie has seemingly been helpful, another source says this:

Regardless of what’s supposedly been said about Kotb returning to the studio to lend a hand, she’s previously said she was “happy” to be back at the show in order to assist her TV family. Upon Guthrie’s return to Today back in April, she and Kotb also shared a tender moment together on air.

As for what’s coming up, Savannah Guthrie is actually set to be away from the show a bit longer, as she recently revealed on air that she’d be taking some time to film her new game show, Wordle. So NBC may be in a position in which it has to rely on talent like Laura Jarrett and Sheinelle Jones again. Whoever ends up filling in, I’m confident they’ll be capable of doing the job like either Guthrie or Hoda Kotb.

After seven years as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, Chloe Fineman has decided to exit the NBC mainstay. She leaves behind a strong legacy of iconic sketches and characters and for a while, seemed like one of the faces of the show. However, there have been a lot of changes at SNL, and for Fineman it seemed like the right time to depart. Of course, it's know that she's already landed her next gig and, per a report, her decision to step away from Studio 8H came together very quickly.

Fineman was offered a new TV opportunity that would reportedly conflict with SNL’s famously intense and demanding schedule. As has been revealed, Fineman was offered a role in David E. Kelley’s upcoming Netflix series, Myron Bolitar. And, according to a source for Page Six, Fineman allegedly decided upon everything in the matter of a day:

Myron Bolitar is one of many Harlan Coben adaptations in development at the aforementioned streamer, as the author’s books have been the source material for thirteen series currently available on the platform. This immense success of the previous adaptations bodes well for this latest production, so it makes sense that Fineman wouldn’t want to give this huge opportunity up. And, in theory, a dramatic turn like this could be a way for her to showcase her range.

Additionally, Page Six's insider also claims the purportedly fast decision could also be a result of Fineman’s current status at the show. Fineman’s presence on the show had dimmed a bit due to the power of new performers at the show, which includes rising star Ashley Padilla, who was one of the most heavily featured performers last season. SNL is a very competitive environment, and Padilla was notably taking on roles in sketches that had been given to Fineman in the past. A source claimed:

Many have noted over the years that timing an SNL exit is incredibly important, and knowing when to leave is crucial for one's career following their tenure. The Lorne Michaels-produced show is a great way for a performer to show what they're capable of, but some stars have spoken about how it can limit a person's opportunities outside the show.

Additionally, many cast members Chloe Fineman started with, including Bowen Yang, have already exited the show themselves. On that note, Yang praised Fineman alongside others like Kenan Thompson and Marcello Hernández after she announced her departure. All in all, fans seemed to love watching Fineman make a name for herself over the years, but it's great to see new faces too. Regardless of what exactly went into her decision-making and how fast it transpired, I'm excited to see what lies ahead for her.

The Scrubs reboot had a successful launch on the 2026 TV schedule. It became an instant hit on ABC when it premiered earlier this year, and it's since been renewed for a second season. A handful of franchise OGs appeared in the first season, with the reboot cast led by the returning Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, and more OGs are expected to return. Now, production has officially begun on Season 2, and Braff celebrated with some truly lovely posts.

It felt like it took forever for the Scrubs reboot to get off the ground, with discussions apparently going back and forth for a while. So the notion of the actors returning to the Sacred Heart set to film a second season of this revival is very satisfying for this fan. With the cast back on set, Braff celebrated by sharing a photo of himself, Chalke and Faison on Instagram, and I’m loving the caption added to the post:

As a fan, I can honestly say it's so great to see the three of them back on set! We had to wait six years to see JD, Elliot, and Turk together again and, now, we only have to wait a matter of months for new episodes. With filming having started, I would hope that more BTS content will be shared in the months to come. In the meantime, though, Braff's other photo, which shows Faison with Penny the dog, is just warming my heart:

As of now, it’s unknown when Scrubs Season 2 will premiere, but the presence of BTS material makes the prospect of its return feel all the more real. Even though Braff's photos are making me excited for the second season, I’m also nervous about what could be coming. Of course, this is a fun show, but it can also be heartbreaking. After all, the writers managed to throw in that twist involving John C. McGinley’s Dr. Cox, which was devastating.

Before all that, though, it was hard to predict just how it would predict how the medical show would fare. Reboots and revivals are all the rage in Hollywood right now, and they can be hit or miss. Ultimately, reviews for Scrubs were mostly positive, though, and the reboot’s premiere brought in big ratings. With the return of numerous OGs and the introduction of a new crop of young doctors, the franchise seems to have found a solid balance between the old and the new.

I'm hopeful that additional details on Season 2 of Scrubs will be revealed in the coming weeks. Networks are beginning to finalize their fall schedules, so it may not be long before ABC releases premiere dates. At the very least, fans can feel relief knowing that filming has started, and here's hoping the cast and crew have a great shoot. NCIS Season 24 is coming soon on the 2026 TV schedule, and someone very special is returning with it. Following the heartbreaking cancellation of NCIS: Tony & Ziva, Michael Weatherly is officially back as Anthony DiNozzo for a season-long arc on the Mothership. Production has started on the new season, and as Weatherly begins playing his character again, fans have a theory about his upcoming story that I can’t stop thinking about.

Anthony DiNozzo Is Back

When Weatherly announced he'd be returning for NCIS, fans were happy but also understandably concerned, not knowing what this would mean for the events in NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The actor recently confirmed that his appearance would not retcon the Tiva spinoff, and now he’s getting fans even more pumped about his comeback. Take a look at this fun photo he shared on Instagram:

Like many, I was heartbroken when NCIS: Tony & Ziva was canceled, especially since it had been so long since we’d seen Tony and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) together. But I am definitely looking forward to Tony’s return on NCIS, and just seeing Weatherly back on set is hyping me up.

Now, I am curious why exactly he's come back into the fold. Thankfully, fans have a theory I really love.

What The Fans Are Saying About Tony's Return

Details surrounding Tony’s storyline have not been revealed, so we don’t know why he’s back in D.C. and why he’s going to HQ. We do know that he’ll be in a chunk of Season 24; which makes my main questions: how and why? Ever since Director Vance’s surprise death in the 500^th episode earlier this year, NCIS has been short a director. There has been some talk about who could replace him, but as of the Season 23 finale, no one has been formally picked. It would be interesting to see Tony taking the reins, or at the very least, stepping back into his Very Special Agent DiNozzo shoes.

However, if his appearance isn’t supposed to retcon Tony & Ziva, his stepping up as Director might be hard since he was thriving at his private security business at the end of the spinoff. I don't think it's impossible though.

Along with Tony’s reason for returning, I hope his storyline addresses what he’s been up to since the events of NCIS: Tony & Ziva or how Ziva and Tali are doing. As of now, de Pablo is not set to appear on NCIS alongside her on-screen better half, but filming did only just start, so you never know.

With all that said, fans will have to see if their theories are correct when NCIS Season 24 premieres this fall on CBS. Meanwhile, all 23 seasons and NCIS: Tony & Ziva’s first and only season are streaming with a Paramount+ subscription.

Gameplay is a surely a major aspect of Big Brother that viewers zero in on, yet those who pay close attention may also wonder about more nuanced aspects of being in the house. For example, there's food to think about and, apparently, if someone wants to make a meal in the house, they better have it committed to memory. Season 28's first evictee, Ashley Trail, was kind enough to take me behind the scenes and share some details about what there is and isn't when it comes to vittles.

CinemaBlend's been watching Big Brother online and streaming the live feeds with a Paramount+ subscription. As I've watched this year, it had me thinking about food. I mean, after all, cooking meals for 16 Houseguests feels daunting, so having a cookbook containing recipes that serve mass meals would theoretically be helpful. I asked Ashley if something like that existed, and she confirmed Houseguests have to rely on their knowledge to make meals:

I used to think being a cook in the Big Brother house wasn't an advantage but, now, I think it could be a minor boost for those who want to win. Of course, it's not going to keep you off the block but, if the votes are close and I have to vote between the person who can make carbonara by heart and the person who can't, I think it's obvious which one I'm choosing.

While there isn't a BB cookbook to speak of to help Houseguests prepare meals, Ashley did reveal the existence of another cookbook of sorts to CinemaBlend. The Have-Nots may have to endure cold showers and bland food, but at least they have a pamphlet that helps them jazz it up a bit:

Slop has been a hot-button issue in recent seasons of Big Brother, with some campaigning for it go away completely. I was one of those people who would prefer we went back to Houseguests eating nothing but peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. However, it sounds like the non-cooking Houseguests are surviving on less than that even when they're not on punishment!

The food situation might get even weirder in Season 28 specifically, as Week 2 HOH Rick Devens "declared war" on the other side of the house. His strategy might be a bit short-sighted, because I think the "other" side of the house has the people who have been doing all of the cooking. So this whole situation could turn into a hunger strike pretty soon. Maybe Ashley should be happy she got out when she did!

I'm glad Ashley could add some intel to what goes on in the Big Brother house, just on the heels of us learning about the hidden security measures via Julie Chen Moonves. Now, if I can just learn who is responsible for some of the worst Have-Not rooms, I'd love to pick their brain about how some of the most devious elements have come together.

To hold fans of Dancing with the Stars over until the series returns to the 2026 TV schedule this fall with Season 35, DWTS: The Next Pro was created to put 12 up-and-comers to the test and pick a winner who will enter the season as the newest pro dancer. With the competition high and the pressure to impress the judges -- three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mother, elite teacher and champion Shirley Ballas -- even higher, you might think that already having a relative on DWTS would give you a leg up. But, per one of the contestants, that might have actually made things even more challenging.

Stephani Sosa, the sister of DWTS pro Ezra Sosa, recently spoke to Us Weekly and discussed some of the finer details regarding her time on The Next Pro. When discussing how her familial connection played into her work, she had this to say:

Sosa's comments are understandable. For 21 years, ABC's Dancing with the Stars has partnered professional dancers with celebrities of varying ages across film, TV, sports, music, and reality programming. Throughout 34 seasons, they’ve shared their personal stories, along with their blood, sweat, and tears, to win the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy. It's definitely not an experience for the faint of heart, even if you happen to be related to someone who's been through it multiple times.

On that note, things are ramping up for Season 35, having already announced Jimmy Kimmel Live’s Guillermo Rodriguez, Savannah Banana’s Jackson Olson, and Summer House and The Traitors star Ciara Miller. And The Traitors and Love Island star Maura Higgins is getting into shape with DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy.

There’s still a long way to go in the DWTS: The Next Pro competition, to see if Stephani Sosa will win the ultimate prize, and there’s a lot on the line for her. The dancer was previously a member of the troupe, which consists of professional dancers who perform in elaborate group numbers. But, while Ezra and his partner -- Jordan Chiles -- were Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finalists, Stephani was dropped from Season 34, leading to heartbreak for both Stephani and Ezra. On how that impacted her coming into the spinoff, Stephani said:

The Next Pro is set up so that each week sees a different DWTS pro guest judge come in, perform for the contestants and give them their next dance challenge. After that, the dancers are responsible for their own choreography and must find ways to make themselves shine, even if they’re working in a pair or group.

In the first week of competition, Stephani Sosa received positive feedback from the judges, including guest judge Derek Hough, which is always a great boost for morale. But, as the dancers continue to prove themselves for just one spot on the hit show, they’re going to have to consistently stand out, week after week. Sosa certainly has a chance of winning it all yet, regardless of who she's related to, she's going to earn it on her own.

We'll have to wait and see who the last dancer standing will be, who their celebrity partner might be, and whether the winner will be replacing one of the current DWTS pros. But know that Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. Et on ABC, and episodes are also streamable with a Disney+ subscription.

There are conspiracy theories surrounding House of the Dragon that are both thought-provoking and hilarious. To me, one of the best examples is the recently developed one about Ormund Hightower and his skills as a hairstylist. That’s right, after he bleached a kid’s hair and pulled a switcheroo on Rhaenyra to hide the real Daeron Targaryen, people are wondering if the actual Daeron’s hair is also dyed. Thankfully, someone asked the actor who plays the Hightower about it.

As HOTD continues to air on the 2026 TV schedule, we’ve been learning more and more about the relationship between Ormund and Alicent’s youngest son, Daeron. In Episode 4 of Season 3, we got our best look yet, as the lord manipulated the prince and made him kill a man at the end of the episode. We also got to hear all about how much Ormund hates the Targaryens, and how he wants Daeron to be a Hightower. So, it’s not far-fetched to believe he’s dyeing the kid’s hair a reddish-brown color so he looks more like a Hightower than a Targaryen.

Commenting on the discourse surrounding the dye, James Norton, who plays Ormund, told TV Guide:

While Norton didn’t confirm if Daeron is a natural redhead or not, he did dive into the psychology that could play into a choice to intentionally dye his hair.

We know that Ormund hates the Targaryens, and I’d buy it if he wanted the prince he watches over to look nothing like them. Right now, you wouldn’t really know Daeron was related to Aemond, Aegon and Helaena unless you saw that his last name was Targaryen. That’s because of his hair; while his siblings all have white hair, his is Hightower red, like his mother. So, if that was an intentional disguise on Ormund’s part, and not just his natural hair color, it’d be a clever yet extra move. Speaking to that point, the actor said:

Overall, James Norton finds this whole theory fascinating. However, he also noted that it’s not addressed in Season 3 of House of the Dragon. Just because it’s not directly addressed, though, doesn’t mean it's totally invalid, as the man who plays Ormund said:

Again, considering the lengths Ormund went to to dye the other kid’s hair bleach blonde earlier in the show, this theory makes sense to me. Plus, the Hightower seems driven enough to do something wild like this to his own family too.

So, while we won’t find out if Ormund is dyeing Daeron’s hair red to hide the Targaryen blonde, it’s nice to know that James Norton has put some thought into this theory.

Former 90 Day Fiancé star Statler opened up about her experience on the show and gave her take on what stars endure when they sign up for the TLC series. As the latest season airs on the 2026 TV schedule, a former reality star described filming as "extreme psychological manipulation" and painted a different picture of the process than one might expect.

Statler popped up in the comments of one of my own TikTok videos, ready to answer a fan's question about whether the producers "told them what to do." Statler (whose previous seasons of 90 Day Fiancé with her ex Dempsey Wilkinson are available to stream with an HBO Max subscription) gave her thoughts on how the show operates:

Statler alleges in her comment that she was portrayed on television in a way she isn't in real life, which can often be a criticism of reality stars. After all, the show can edit the footage they capture any way they want, and construct anything to appear the way it isn't.

This seems to be at the root of her complaint, which she continued on with below. She felt as though the experience would be more of a documentary, rather than what we witnessed on 90 Day Fiancé:

It's wild to hear, but this should be noted that there's a history between Statler and the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Among other things, she was uninvited from attending the tell-all of what would be her final season, which she spoke out about. Basically, it's just her opinion of how it all played out, and there are other 90 Day stars with differing accounts on how the show operates.

In her defense, even 90 Day Fiancé viewers have caught times in which the show was seemingly manufacturing drama between cast members. This includes the infamous continuity error in which objects were moved around in the background of Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods' big fight, suggesting it was filmed across multiple takes. Additionally, some cast members have been found to be misleading the audience about elements of their storyline, and maybe knew their fiancé much longer than originally stated.

Based on Statler's story, I think the big message should be that anyone hoping to get onto 90 Day Fiancé should definitely watch the show and see what they're getting into before committing. I would say the odds of getting a "normal" edit on the show are slim to none; after all, it is reality television. Someone is going to be made to look like the villain, even if in reality they're not as malicious with their intentions.

Statler is not the first 90 Day Fiancé cast member to be disgruntled with her experience, and ironically enough, she commented on a post that was a response to Shekinah Güven saying she was done with the franchise. In a lot of cases, I think some of these cast members struggle with their real lives being dramatized or played up for entertainment. So I can't fault them for wanting to step away or "clarify" anything after seeing comments from fans. I do agree I'd love to see a documentary on the show someday, but for now I'm content just watching it on TLC.

90 Day Fiancé continues on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET, and The Last Resort is on Mondays at the same time. Stick with CinemaBlend as we continue to see what's going on with the cast, and give updates about the "reality" of what's going on in their relationships.

I'll preface this by saying that I don't like to complain about the Big Brother live feeds because they really are what sets the CBS reality show apart from so many other competition series, and if they ever went away, I'm sure my interest in the show would diminish drastically. With that said, the live feed experience is far from perfect, so please take this as less of a complaint and more of a resigned shrug, because, well...

Shortly before Big Brother Season 28's premiere on the 2026 TV schedule, CBS announced two new live fan experiences set to play out on YouTube. The first was the Big Brother: Broveal, which introduced the new houseguests on the Big Brother YouTube Channel. The second was the promise of a live stream of the BB live feeds on YouTube for a limited amount of time following each episode. Presumably, that included the live episode; however, as seasoned feed-watchers on Eastern or Central time likely know, Big Brother rarely turns the feeds back on right after the Thursday live show broadcasts on the East Coast. Anyone who didn't know that already and went to YouTube to watch the live stream after the episode apparently found out.

I'll be up front here and say that I'm getting this information secondhand. Oh, I watched the live episode of Big Brother when it aired last night, thanks to my Paramount+ subscription including the CBS broadcast, but I didn't even bother to turn on the feeds after, as I knew the odds were slim to none that I'd see anything but the clips of adorable adoptable shelter animals that stream whenever the live feeds are not available. Apparently, the YouTube stream was no exception:

The series films in California, and while the Thursday episode airs live on the East Coast, the people on Pacific time don't see it until hours later. The feeds typically don't come back until sometime after the episode airs on the West Coast, or until after the Head of Household competition takes place. The rare exception to this is when there's an endurance competition playing out. Competitions aren't normally shown on the feeds, but Big Brother will usually let feed-watchers see endurance competitions.

Since the episodes that air on Sunday and Wednesday aren't live, the feeds aren't impacted by them, which works just fine for this new YouTube feature. Thursday is a different story and has been for years, and apparently the YouTube stream isn't going to change that. As annoying (and frankly, confusing) as that is, it's also a pretty accurate depiction of what we get from the feeds after most live shows, especially for those of us on Eastern or Central time.

It would be amazing if Big Brother decided to change that. I would absolutely love to get to see the houseguests decompress after the live show, share their takes on whatever unexpected events happened during the live episode, talk about the eviction and maybe even scheme a bit as a new cycle starts. It's the brief time in the game when the eviction is totally done, and there's no Head of Household.

Giving YouTube users the opportunity to view the live feeds is a great way to broaden the audience of the long-running reality competition series. The live episode is undoubtedly the most exciting episode of any given week, and pairing it with an hour of post-episode live feeds on YouTube would be chef's-kiss, as it'd really highlight the uniqueness of this reality series by comparison to pre-taped productions. So while I'm not entirely optimistic that Big Brother will consider changing things up and turning the feeds on for the YouTube watchers on Thursday after the episode, I do hope they decide to do that going forward; otherwise, why do the YouTube stream on Thursday night at all?

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Season 4, Episode 9 of Criminal Minds: Evolution, “Badder Blood,” streaming now with a Paramount+ subscription.

The penultimate episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution’s fourth season on the 2026 TV schedule was intense, and that's putting it lightly. Already, this season has been a roller coaster of emotions that kicked off with the death of a beloved character. Then, in the second-to-last episode, another character was killed, keeping the action going all the way until the end. Now, the showrunner has opened up about how saving a different person played into this death.

In Thursday’s episode, “Badder Blood,” Paul F. Tompkins’ Brian Garrity made yet another appearance, and nearly met his demise at the hands of this season’s unsub, The Fan/James Crowley (Justin Kirk). While he made it out alive, the same cannot be said for Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie, who has been recurring as one of The Fan’s victims, Lance. Speaking about these two outcomes, showrunner Erica Messer told TV Insider why Lance was killed off in place of Brian, and it makes sense:

Tompkins first appeared as Brian, a conspiracy theorist, came in Season 15 of Criminal Minds’ original run. He popped up again in three episodes of Evolution's second season, and he had a bigger arc during Season 4 thanks to his podcast and occasionally helping the BAU and even the villainous Elias Voit (Zach Gilford).

The penultimate episode saw this season’s unsub, The Fan (Justin Kirk), luring Brian to a warehouse where his ex-wife was being held hostage. At one point, Brian is strapped to a device that would strangle him if his ex-wife left, and he ultimately told her to run when she had the chance. Luckily, the BAU got to him in time and revived him.

Just like the BAU, I have a love-hate relationship with Brian. He definitely makes things interesting, and you never know what you’re going to get with him. It's been fun seeing his return for Season 4, and I’m relieved knowing that he’s okay. I just wonder if this means we'll be seeing him more for Season 5.

As for Lance, he had helped The Fan in exchange for his ex, who was also being held hostage. Unfortunately, after trying to take the team off of The Fan’s scent and doing what he wanted, Lance went to find his ex before dying in an explosive and gruesome way. And as much as I have loved seeing Connor Storrie on Criminal Minds, I will definitely take Brian over Lance, mostly because Brian has grown on me.

With all that being said and the penultimate episode ending the way it did, I am curious to see what they have planned for the Season 4 finale. Also, based on the choices made about Brian and Lance, I'll be curious to see how the overarching story is impacted by Brian's survival and Lance's death.

If this last episode tells us anything, there will be a lot to look forward to in this upcoming finale, and fans won’t want to miss it. So, make sure to tune into the Season 4 finale of Criminal Minds: Evolution when it drops on Thursday on Paramount+.

If you watched The Today Show on July 16, you probably didn’t realize that the cast and crew — particularly Craig Melvin — had just experienced a pretty frightening incident. NBC’s morning show went on as planned Thursday, but reports began to circulate quickly about an intruder getting past security. Melvin confirmed on the air Friday that a man had indeed managed to get past security into an unauthorized area of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, with NYPD responding.

Andrew Truelove, 41, was arrested Thursday, TMZ reports, after getting into TODAY’s Studio 1A and asking where he could find Al Roker. Craig Melvin was in the area at the time, and Truelove allegedly confronted him, reportedly lunging at the co-host and yelling a slur at him. Page Six reports the incident lasted 8 to 10 seconds before the intruder was detained, and NYPD arrested him shortly after. Melvin spoke about the situation about 30 minutes into Friday’s show on the 2026 TV schedule, saying:

Craig Melvin was surrounded by Carson Daly, Al Roker and Laura Jarrett, who was filling in as Savannah Guthrie got “an early start to the weekend,” according to Melvin. The anchor, who allegedly came face-to-face with the intruder, assured his colleagues he was “safe and sound,” adding:

He had also posted about the incident on Instagram on Thursday, after many people reportedly reached out to check on him after such a scary interaction. Craig Melvin wrote:

The incident raises safety questions, to be sure, especially since security was allegedly increased after Savannah Guthrie returned from her leave of absence earlier this year. TMZ reports that a security guard at 30 Rockefeller Plaza was terminated Thursday after the intruder slipped by him into Studio 1A.

Andrew Truelove was charged with hate crime burglary, hate crime menacing, hate crime criminal trespass and harassment in Thursday’s incident. The New York Post reports that he has eight previous arrests, mostly for criminal mischief. His record also allegedly includes a charge of second-degree assault after he reportedly attacked a staffer at his residence in January, grabbing the worker’s arm and slamming a door into it.

The Today Show incident is especially disturbing given what Savannah Guthrie has been through this year with the disappearance of her mother Nancy. The longtime NBC anchor had allegedly left the building shortly before the incident occurred. It’s unknown if her absence Friday was previously scheduled, but Guthrie missed several days earlier this month to spend some time with her family. Last month she also had production meetings for the upcoming game show Wordle, which caused her to be absent from Today for several days.

While this latest incident was presumably unrelated to what Savannah Guthrie’s been through, everyone on The Today Show has reportedly been a little more on edge, and this incident isn’t likely to help matters. We’re glad no one was physically harmed in Thursday’s security breach, and we hope Craig Melvin, Al Roker and the rest truly are “just fine.”

It’s always hard to say goodbye to Saturday Night Live cast members, and that’s especially the case when they’ve worked at the show for a long time. So, yes, it’s difficult to comprehend that Chloe Fineman really is leaving SNL after seven seasons. However, while it’s sad, it’s also worth celebrating the incredible run that she had, which is exactly what Bowen Yang, Kenan Thompson and so many more did.

Chloe Fineman’s departure from SNL marks the first cast exit ahead of Season 52, and the first comedian to leave since Bowen Yang said goodbye in the middle of Season 51. In her Instagram post about this news, the actress noted that “it’s time for [her] next chapter.” She also wrote that “it’s really hard to leave SNL, but it does feel like the right time.” In response, a bunch of current and former cast members commented, writing things like:

Yang and Fineman both joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in Season 45, which makes his statement mean even more. Plus, it has to be moving to see SNL’s longest-running cast member, Kenan Thompson, call out how brilliant your run was on the show. Along with those two, Ego Nwodim congratulated Fineman, and so did Marcello Hernández and Sarah Sherman, both of whom joined after her but have worked with her for a long time.

Alongside the longtimers, some of Season 51’s newbies commented too. This included Jeremy Culhane and Veronika Slowikowska; Ben Marshall, who was a writer for a while before joining the cast full-time, also showed his love.

So, all around, despite this news being a bummer, there is a lot of love for Fineman among the SNL cast. She got a bunch of appreciation from other celebs too. Check out these comments:

It’s always so sweet to see a Saturday Night Live cast member celebrated like this, and it’s certainly deserved for Fineman. Now, I can’t wait to see what she does next, and I’d assume those who commented feel the same way.

Of course, when SNL returns to the 2026 TV schedule for Season 52, it will be odd not to see Chloe Fineman on screen (you can still stream her old episodes with a Peacock subscription). However, the show will go on, and her career will continue to flourish.

It's a new week in the Big Brother house as it continues its run on the 2026 TV schedule, and we're already off to a hot start. In what is no doubt another major coup for the returnees, Rick Devens won the Week 2 HOH. It's the best-case scenario for Dee Valladares, who can now rest easy following her Week 1 reign, as her biggest ally is running the house. Could this mean we'll see some traction in her budding showmance with Barrett Pfeiffer?

Rick initially seemed intent on playing it safe with his nominations and targeting Mallory Aurichio, Lala Verrett, and Melody Morris. However, that all changed after a conversation with Angela Murray, which encouraged him to go full-tilt and openly declare "war" on the other side of the house.

As of writing, it seems Devens will now put up Melody, Jason De Puy, and Lyric Medeiros, with the hope of backdooring Rome Seymour. Rome is generally seen as the ringleader of the "other" side of the house, which comprises everyone who isn't in the Crossovers or Red Corner alliance.

Backdooring anyone in Big Brother is a tall order in the modern seasons, as Rome will still have a chance to save himself with the BB Blockbuster. This plan could also fall apart if Rome is chosen to play the veto, and ends up pulling down Lyric, which would grant him safety.

There's also talk of Rick making a public declaration of "war" during his nomination ceremony, openly acknowledging the house is divided down the middle. It feels very Survivor to try to split the house between two sides, but as Dee and Angela discussed that same evening, pushing that narrative only helps the returnees shield themselves. I'm curious to see how the "other" side of the house responds, and if they organize in a way Rick's alliances have in order to have a better chance at surviving what might otherwise become a steamroll.

Big Brother will show the HOH competition on Sunday's episode, which airs on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. I'm interested to see what the contest was, and how Houseguests respond to this declaration of war.

As far as early jobs on the resume go, a job at Disneyland sounds like it’d be a pretty sweet one. Unless you're Will Ferrell, in which case you only last for a day. I just learned Will Ferrell once got hired to work at the Happiest Place on Earth, but he backed out of it pretty quickly. Hijinks definitely were involved.

Before Will Ferrell found his big break as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, the comedian and actor grew up in Orange County, California. One of his first jobs was technically at Disneyland, but the gig didn’t last very long. He recently revealed all this to Amy Poehler, including what lured him away.

It’s true. Not every job title at Disneyland is as exciting as the place itself. While Josh Gad might get a celebrity pass to work rides, Mr. Ferrell was not the comedian we know today at that time. He genuinely seems unenthusiastic about ticket taking, and waiting, and I do get it. That’s not even inside the park!

Since he’d just been offered another job at a surf shop in Newport Beach his friend was managing, he decided to suddenly quit. Here’s where the story really gets good, and definitely highlights the environment Ferrell grew up in that led him to be so funny.

One can’t help but giggle at the story. Imagine being the person that was on the other side of the line (perhaps reading this), and realizing it was THE Will Ferrell! How funny.

Will Ferrell might have quit Disneyland before he even started, but fellow SNL alum Steve Martin definitely didn’t. The comedy icon worked at Disneyland at the age of 10 after biking over to the theme park and asking for work there. Someone allowed him to sell guidebooks there, and Martin continued to work for the Mouse for eight years. The actor started working at the park’s magic shop at 15, which gave him an avenue to perform before later heading to 30 Rock.

Ultimately Will Ferrell left his life in Orange County for Los Angeles to join the city’s local The Groundlings improv group. It was there where he was encouraged to try out for SNL producer Lorne Michaels. Ferrell was on the sketch show for seven years before launching a successful movie career. And to think, if he'd spent those seven years at Disneyland, he still probably wouldn't be manning The Jungle Cruise.

His latest project is a new series called The Hawk, which is dropping this week for those with a Netflix subscription.

It’s hard to believe another Big Bang Theory spinoff will be coming down the pipeline soon. Stuart Fails To Save The Universe has already nabbed headlines for bringing back some notable Big Bang Theory characters, but also for being the first spinoff to take place on HBO Max, a network that’s far less joke, joke, joke than CBS. But how does the OG cast feel about The Big Bang Theory characters going in new directions? Well, someone asked Kaley Cuoco.

In a recent interview, Kaley Cuoco was asked about her experiences post-show, and not from a career standpoint. Of course, she’s had successful runs in follow-ups like The Flight Attendant and Based on A True Story. Instead, though, Screenrant asked her what her experience has been watching the franchise go beyond her, and she gave an intriguing answer.

Listen, it’s not like I expected Kaley Cuoco to be a huge hater here. It would have been completely out of character if the actress hadn’t been happy for the Big Bang universe follow-ups. Even if she has been candid there was drama here or there on Bang.

Outside of being honest about life on set, she's generally pretty happy to talk about her time on Big Bang and to give the franchise its flowers. She spent 12 years developing Penny alongside her co-stars and the crew, and it’s clear those years were fondly spent. Even though Jim Parsons was the person to ultimately decide to leave the show first, he didn’t exit without the show being able to wrap in a way that was sensitive to his castmates and the fans, and it’s no wonder The Big Bang Theory is still a sitcom people love to talk about, despite it wrapping well over five years ago at this point. To the actress that TV legacy is really important.

To note, Cuoco has previously been asked if she'd want to reprise Penny in her own spinoff, and she hasn't been opposed to that idea, either.

So far, Young Sheldon was already a successful follow-up for CBS, and Georgie And Mandy’s First Marriage is still doing well on network TV. Stuart Fails To Save The Universe should be a whole new ballgame for the franchise, and I'm interested to see what those with an HBO Max subscription think. Spoilers ahead for The Vampire Lestat Episode 6!

Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire has been made into movies and stage plays, but in recent years it's made its way to TV courtesy of AMC. The book-to-screen adaptation has been a wild ride during its three seasons on the air, with the most recent being retitled, featuring a big time jump and getting a new narrator. Reviews for The Vampire Lestat have been super positive, although I've been missing Louis and Lestat's romantic relationship throughout most of the season. They finally got together in the penultimate episode, "Montreal", but now I'm stressed out about Loustat's fate.

While there was a question about how much Louis would be featured in Season 3, Jacob Anderson's character has remained a vital part of the narrative. I was thrilled when he and Lestat finally made up and seemingly got back together last episode... before Armand and Daniel appeared and promptly decapitated them both. And if that's a sign of what's to come in the finale "The Failures", I'm feeling very nervous for the vampire lovers.

Louis and Lestat Finally Reunited, But They're In So Much Danger

The stakes have never been higher for The Vampire Lestat, which is why now is the perfect time for fans to invest in an AMC+ subscription. After doing a séance to speak to Claudia's spirit, Louis and Lestat finally seemed like they were back in a good place. But their decapitation definitely changed things, and I have to wonder how they'll recover... both physically and emotionally.

Throughout this season, we followed Sam Reid's Lestat as a rock star getting into his POV for the first time in the series. While learning about his past, we also saw how hurt he was over what Louis told Daniel during his infamous interview. It took six episodes to get them back together, with the pair finally becoming a unit. At least, until that cliffhanger ending of "Montreal." My joy in their reconciliation was cut short (literally), and now I'm just in fear mode.

Decapitation aside, The Vampire Lestat has also been building toward a larger conflict. The first episode opened in a not-too-distant future, where a "global catastrophe" has occurred, and both Louis and Armand are seen with some serious injuries. We should presumably learn what happens in the upcoming finale, as well as whether or not Lestat actually perishes in the upcoming conflict.

Something bad is coming, and if Lestat actually dies, that'll make his reunion with Louis even more tragic. They only got to be a unit again very briefly, despite their years of history. I was so happy to see the pair back together, but now I'm nervous that tragedy is about to happen.

The Vampire Lestat airs new episodes Sundays as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Hopefully my two favorite vamps manage to survive the forthcoming finale.

Despite any and all annual claims from Michael Che that he's leaving Saturday Night Live in the near future, that thankfully still isn't the cast just yet. However, today did bring the somewhat disappointing and somewhat hopeful news that the long-running sketch comedy did lose its first longtime cast member ahead of Season 52 premiering later in 2026: the always great Chloe Fineman!

Lest this sound solely like a funeral dirge, this casting departure seemingly isn't due to anything detrimental happening behind the scenes, and hasn't yet sparked any rumors. In fact, she shared a bittersweet, photo-filled post on Instagram where she spoke directly about leaving, saying:

Doesn't sound like somebody who hated her job for the past seven years. Quite the opposite. She shared more fun memories, and closed out with this:

You heard her, scientists. Get on that. And while you're at it, you might as well figure out a way to clone the actress so that she can go off to do other jobs, and SNL won't have to lose her stable of characters and impressions that have made her seven-year run so much fun to watch. Who are they gonna get to do Drew Barrymore now? Kenan Thompson? Fine, I'll watch it.

Chloe Fineman Is Reportedly Joining A Netflix Drama With KJ Apa

According to Deadline, Chloe Fineman has wasted zero time in locking down her first on-screen project following up on her SNL exit. She's reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of the Netflix drama series Myron Bolitar, based on the book series authored by the streaming service's go-to mystery scribe, Harlan Coben.

Already looped into the cast for Myron Bolitar are Riverdale vet KJ Apa, The Flight Attendant's Colin Woodell, and Doom Patrol's Diana Guerrero.

Before today, the most recent sketch star to vacate Studio 8H was Bowen Yang, who exited in the middle of Season 51, rather than doing all that waiting business. Season 51 had already faced a whirlwind of shake-ups prior to its premiere, starting with Devon Walker being let go, followed by news that Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow and Heidi Gardner were also let go, which was later followed by Ego Nwodim bowing out on her own accord.

Which stands to reason that Fineman's career change is only the first, with more to come as the summer progresses. The exits didn't start last year until mid-August, so we're already ahead of schedule.

Who will be the next SNL cast member to bow out ahead of Season 52? Place your bets, and then send me half of whatever you win, because you're nice like that.

It’s been nearly two months since The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was removed from the 2026 TV schedule, and this time has allegedly been hard on Colbert, not to mention his fans. Late-night viewers have had to look elsewhere for celebrity interviews and humorous commentary on current events, and the ratings seem to tell a pretty clear story about where those people went. June’s numbers are here, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! is boasting some of the show’s highest numbers in its 23-year history.

The final episode of Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show aired on May 21, and both Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon saw a ratings increase in the aftermath. Now, with a full month of Colbert-free Nielsen data to look at (per TV Insider), ABC has come out on top. Jimmy Kimmel Live! reportedly averaged 3.15 million total viewers in June — 505,000 of those in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

That’s a 24 percent increase in total viewership and a huge 112 percent jump in the demo compared to May’s numbers. In fact, it was Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s best monthly average since it premiered in 2003. Year over year, the late-night ABC show was up 66 percent in total viewers and 69 percent in viewers ages 18-49.

By comparison, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1.47 million viewers in June, which was a 4 percent increase from May, but without its NBA Playoff lead-ins from that month, demo viewers fell 19 percent to an average of 195,000.

The cancellation of CBS’ The Late Show is almost certainly the primary reason for the boost to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, especially with Kimmel forming such a bromance with Stephen Colbert. However, Kimmel also benefited from the NBA Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final as lead-ins. On June 3, 5, 8 and 10, Jimmy Kimmel Live! saw more than 700,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo, which was the most since Kimmel returned from his suspension last September.

Also, CBS’ replacement for The Late Show — Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed — has failed to fill Stephen Colbert’s shoes, numbers-wise, averaging just 807,000 total viewers in June (92,000 in the key demo).

An Interesting Twist In Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s Numbers

One of the more interesting facts about the ratings boom that Jimmy Kimmel Live! saw in June is that the host himself wasn’t there for nearly half of the month. Jimmy Kimmel is taking a (voluntary) break for a couple of months, and after the June 18 episode, reruns populated the timeslot through the Fourth of July.

Guest hosts like Tiffany Haddish have ensured that Jimmy Kimmel Live! has definitely not chilled out in the absence of its eponymous leader, and I’m intrigued about how Jimmy Kimmel’s numbers hold up after a full month without him.

Certainly Jimmy Kimmel would never say that The Late Show’s cancellation was a good thing, but in this TV landscape where the major networks are duking it out in the ratings, I’m sure the higher-ups at ABC appreciate Colbert’s fans finding a place to land.

The recent boom in gaming storytelling across TV and movies means anyone currently working on upcoming video game adaptations are likely keeping a close eye on what's working the best. For me, Fallout is the gold standard, as it brings its game elements to live about as successfully as any could hope to. Not everyone involved with the acclaimed Bethesda franchise agrees, though, as game designer and writer Chris Avellone said while he enjoys the show, there are times he's been "embarrassed" by the writing.

As Fallout's cast continues to work on Season 3, Avellone spoke to Insider Gaming about not liking the dialogue in the series. Avellone is primarily known for writing the story of Fallout: New Vegas, and while he shared praise for stars Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell, he openly talked about being let down by the script-writing:

As the senior writer for Fallout: New Vegas, I can understand why Chris Avellone may be critical of the television series, especially after Season 2. The show casually skated around directly addressing the events of the game, in part because the player can work toward multiple endings. The series opted to move things into the future, which sacrificed the wonder and luster of New Vegas seen in the games.

Avellone didn't give any specific examples of what he disliked about the dialogue in the Fallout series, but as mentioned, he did have compliments for the cast. He specifically praised Purnell and the way the series perfectly captured the wide-eyed feeling of a Vault Dweller walking out into the Wasteland for the first time.

To speculate a bit, I will say that the overall tone of Fallout: New Vegas is more serious than the Fallout series can be. The show certainly plays on the absurdity of the Wasteland and can play its brutality for laughs at times, whereas the games don't do that nearly as much. He might also not be a fan of Lucy having a catchphrase, but personally, I can't get enough of it.

Season 3 of Fallout will pick up after some interesting developments, one of which includes Lucy and Walton Goggins' Ghoul going their separate ways. He's off to Colorado in search of his family, which appeals to the gamer in me since that area hasn't gotten nearly as much attention as the areas we've seen in the show thus far. I am curious about how Chris Avellone and other creatives from the Fallout world react, and if they have any gripes with how that's approached.

Fallout is available to stream with a Prime subscription, and Season 3 is on the way. It seems like we may be getting new episodes in late 2027, which isn't a terrible time to wait, and I can't wait to see what the writing team has planned.

For many months now, the FCC has had Disney and ABC in the crosshairs, with the org’s chairman Brendan Carr initially angling at Jimmy Kimmel in regards to the late night host’s highly publicized 2025 suspension. (More people reportedly complained about the FCC than to the FCC at the time.) Since then, Carr has been more wholly focused on The View, its choices of guests, and how it’s classified as a TV program.

Might there be some kind of an end in sight for this slowly moving and not-so-transparent legal ordeal? That’s hard to say, but it does sound like the FCC’s next moves will be made sooner rather than later. Here’s how things could shake out as the summer continues.

The FCC Will Reportedly Take Action In The Next 6 Weeks Or So

According to Bloomberg, the FCC is expected to move forward with whatever action it's taking against ABC and Disney at some point in the next month, meaning there could be a line drawn in the sand by mid-August. While the exact timing isn't set, it's implied that the commission is aiming to start up its dual-front probes into the entertainment companies before the Labor Day holiday arrives. So unless things go sideways, September 7 sounds like a firm-esque point of no return.

But while that loose timing window may be allegedly in place, according to the outlet's sources, it's still not entirely clear which route the FCC will be going, and what Brendan Carr will ultimately decide to do. Still, the agency's goals are well-known enough, with two investigative probes aiming to uncover potentially punishable offenses.

The Two FCC Probes That ABC And Disney Are Facing

The more publicized FCC investigation specifically involves whether or not The View counts more as an "entertainment" or a "news" program, and whether or not the daytime chat show should be required to follow the same rules that other shows under the same classification need to follow. This is where the "Equal Times" rule comes into play, where if certain U.S. programs give a spotlight to political candidates from one party, they must necessarily provide the same to one from an opposing party.

If The View is determined to be a "bona fide news interview program," that would classify it as an individual news broadcast, and would thus make it exempt from the equal time rule. Which likely means the FCC is not going to rule that way. Though that may not necessarily be the biggest setback, since The View does feature conservative-leaning guests, most recently with Vice Prez J.D. Vance appearing for a lengthy interview, with former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene bringing the heat to the table just last week.

Probe #2 is a bit more opaque for the average TV viewer, and involves jugment of whether or not Disney is fit to continue holding local TV station licenses. That probe started earlier this year, with the FCC's explanation being that the studio was not open enough with responses to questions about practices involving inclusion and diversity.

It will apparently come down to whether or not Carr & Co. wish to continue forward with an internal judicial review, which could potentially result in Disney losing stations in major metro areas like L.A. and New York. It could also potentially result in nothing major happening. Just depends on what the FCC probers turn up, and whether or not anything seems flagrant enough to act against.

For now, and at least for the next few weeks, everything will likely play out as normal over on The View. Here's who's appearing across Thursday and Friday.

When Kyland Young was evicted from the Big Brother house in Season 23, the tension in the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Kyland had a showdown with former ally and eventual winner Xavier Prather and began to antagonize him by implying his nephew would be ashamed of him for going back on his word. The two men stood inches from each other as host Julie Chen Moonves shouted over the loudspeaker for Kyland to leave, and the live episode went on without further incident.

We have yet to see a fight on a Big Brother live eviction show, or an instance where a Houseguest outright refuses to leave. As the series airs on the 2026 TV schedule, however, I'm fully aware the show often "expects the unexpected." So I had to ask the host what might happen should a fight or something of that nature happen during the live show. While fans have never seen it, there is a hidden security team ready to go should it come to that:

I can't express how much I love that Julie refers to herself as Chenbot, but I'm also relieved to hear that Big Brother has security on standby for when the unexpected arises. I do have to admit it's interesting we have yet to see them, given a couple of past Houseguest expulsions that could've easily gotten out of hand.

So, if those watching Big Brother episodes online or streaming the feeds with a Paramount+ subscription start to get antsy for a Houseguest's safety in Season 28 and beyond, rest assured, backup is off-camera. Also, if Julie's there and it's the live show, she made it clear to me she has no problem going in there and setting people straight herself:

If Julie Chen Moonves went sprinting into the Big Brother house to stop a fight, it might just go down as one of the best reality television moments of all time. Hopefully, though, we never have to see that happen. Overall, however, it is comforting as a fan to know that there is a plan in place for just about every contingency imaginable.

Season 28 is leaning into the eras of past seasons of the show, which means we'll see icons from the past appear in episodes. I'd love to see both Xavier and Kyland, who did eventually privately bury the hatchet after the very public confrontation, again. It might even be funny to have them on and pretend to fight again, if only to see how the Houseguests might react.

As for tensions in the house, the Big Brother Season 28 cast seems pretty friendly at the moment. There is the usual amount of snide comments and backstabbing, but hey, that's the nature of the beast. I'm just hoping it leads to a little more action, because so far, this cast is a little too passive.

Rita Ora has always known how to slay a red carpet. She proved that once again too, as she celebrated the premiere of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland on the 2026 TV schedule while wearing a stunning sheer red gown. However, while this wicked fashion moment was A+ on its own, Taika Waititi did have to help her out with it, which made it even better.

Rita Ora Rocked A Sheer Red Dress To The Premiere Of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland

Seeing as Rita Ora is the Queen of Hearts in the Descendants universe, she obviously went for an all-red look for the premiere of Wicked Wonderland. It was wickedly stunning too, as it was completely sheer and paired with a pair of matching sheer gloves. Take a look:

The dress is by Do Long, and according to its Instagram, the garment was custom and “meticulously adorned with thousands of hand-applied embellishments.” So, while the front was completely sheer, the corset back was covered in red rhinestones. Truly, it was giving Queen of Hearts.

Personally, my favorite addition to this look was the matching sparkly red gloves. Not only does Ora love a sheer fashion moment, but she’s also a fan of a matching glove, and that was on full display here.

All around, the ensemble was fit for a royal, and it was wickedly gorgeous. However, to move around in it, the actress did need a hand from her hubby, Taika Waititi.

Taika Waititi Had To Assist Her With The Gown On The Red Carpet

Of course, Ora’s husband, Taika Waititi, was also at this premiere to support his wife. I mean that literally and figuratively too. That’s because not only was he there to celebrate her new film, but he also assisted her on the red carpet. Take a look:

First of all, how chivalrous of the Thor: Ragnarok director to fix her dress. That’s so sweet of him. Secondly, of course it’s also a funny moment, as you can see Waititi posing for the camera while adjusting her train with an A+ Blue Steel look. What can I say, it’s always wonderful to see this couple not only supporting each other, but also having a great time doing it.

Now, Ora and Waititi revealed they were married in 2023, a year after they tied the knot. Before that, rumors had swirled about their nuptials. Overall, they’ve always spoken highly of each other, and they aren’t afraid to joke around either. I think this latest red carpet moment they shared fully proves that once again.

All in all, this fashion moment (and assist) is making me very excited for this new Descendants film. After Ora made her franchise debut in 2024’s Descendants: The Rise of the Red, she’s back as the Queen of Hearts in Wicked Wonderland. This is the fifth movie overall, and it sees the return of characters like Red and Chloe as they embark on a journey to Wonderland.

Once a show is over, it never actually goes away. Talks of a revival often follow a big hit's finale, and Bones, which premiered 21 years ago and aired its series finale nine years ago, is no exception. From every comedic moment to every gooey body to every heartbreaking moment, I loved every part of Bones. So David Boreanaz discussing a possible revival has me both excited and thinking about just how old this show is.

While it’s been almost a decade since we said goodbye to these characters, the actor is being asked about a possible return. Much like how Boreanaz gets asked about a Buffy reunion, he also gets questions about if he'd ever return as Booth. And recently, he addressed the chances of a Bones revival. The actor spoke with ScreenRant about how likely it is, saying:

He makes such a great point here. While it's hard to believe Bones premiered over 20 years ago, its age does not hinder it. As the actor said, it's the kind of show that would be very easy to pop back into. Boreanaz has called Bones the show he "would definitely revisit" if he could, which could mean that one day we may see a reunion.

The actor has provided nostalgic throwbacks that prove that he misses the show and working with Emily Deschanel as much as the fans miss seeing the two together. So, as he said, when it comes to a revival, I'd "never say never."

However, if it doesn't happen, it won't be over any drama. The actor gave a more logical answer as to why a revival is less likely to happen, stating that the actors' busy schedules are difficult to coordinate. He explained:

He really has done that too. Boreanaz seems to flawlessly go from one long-running project to another, as he jumped immediately from Buffy to Angel to Bones to SEAL Team.

However, while he may "never look back" at past roles, he honors these characters (and fans) every time he attends conventions for Bones. Although, because he really is always moving forward, Emily Deschanel will joke about why he wouldn't want to do a revival:

Well, while they joke about him not wanting to do one, these new quotes prove he's not totally against a Bones reboot. However, we don't actually know if that will ever happen.

We do know, however, that Boreanaz will be part of a different revival, as he's leading the reboot of Rockford Files. So, while we may not get a Bones revival anytime soon, I do hope we'll see Emily Deschanel pop up to hang out with Rockford.

However, those are all dreams, and who knows if they'll come true. Thankfully, while we fantasize about the reboots and reunions that could happen on screen, there are 12 seasons of Bones that we can always go back and rewatch with a Disney+ subscription

Chicago P.D. is coming back to NBC later this year on the 2026 TV schedule along with the other One Chicago shows, meaning there will be a lot to look forward to... even with a major cast member exiting. Following the One Chicago crossover earlier this year, it’s possible we’ll be able to look forward to more crossovers next season, whether big or small. But I actually just found out a connection that Chicago P.D. has with another NBC series, Hill Street Blues.

Of course, Chicago P.D. is connected to the One Chicago Universe, also consisting of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and the short-lived Chicago Justice. It is also connected to fellow Dick Wolf NBC franchise Law & Order through some crossovers with SVU. But that’s not all. TVLine pointed out that there’s yet another connection to a much older NBC series that many people may not have noticed.

P.D.’s 21^st District is the same building used for the precinct in Hill Street Blues, which ran for seven seasons from 1981 to 1987 on the Peacock network. In reality, the building used in both shows is the Maxwell Street Police Station on Chicago’s Near West Side that was built in 1888. While interior scenes were mostly shot on soundstages in LA for Hill Street Blues and Chicago for Chicago P.D., the building is a staple on the cop shows for external shots.

This is far from the first time that shows have used the same sets or buildings, and it definitely won’t be the last. I just love that this one building connects shows set and filmed decades apart, especially since Hill Street Blues never actually names what city it’s set in. I have also been to the Maxwell Street Police Station to see where the 21^st District is, and now knowing that I saw the building used in not just one but two iconic NBC procedurals is pretty awesome.

Coincidentally, the same police station is not all that Hill Street Blues and Chicago P.D. have in common. Dick Wolf got his start writing for Hill Street Blues, writing for eight episodes and earning an Emmy nomination in 1986. Who knew that a show that ended in 1987 and one that premiered in 2014 had so much in common?

While Hill Street Blues isn’t streaming anywhere, at least for now, fans can watch Chicago P.D. with a Peacock subscription and at least imagine the 21^st District standing in as a different police station in the ‘80s. The series is coming back for Season 14 on Wednesday, October 7, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, streaming the next day on Peacock. Chicago Med and Chicago Fire will also be back for new seasons on October 7.

Once Upon a Time is one of the most extraordinary fantasy adaptations I've enjoyed, because it reacquaints fans with beloved fairy tales in a different way. The series ended eight years ago, but it still remains a favorite amongst devotees, thanks to said people streaming it with a Disney+ subscription. Also, it's apparently a hit with a child of one of the OUAT cast members, as Emilie de Ravin's daughter begged her to bust out an iconic dress. Unsurprisingly, de Ravin can still more than pull it off!

De Ravin starred as Belle from The Beauty and the Beast for the first six seasons, and later appeared as a special guest in the seventh and final season. Like many of the characters on the show, Belle wears some iconic looks that fans will recognize from the animated Disney film, including a big yellow dress similar to the dress worn during the “Tale as Old as Time” ballroom sequence. De Ravin took to her Instagram to share a photo in the dress eight years later, and she looks exquisite:

While it's been almost a decade since Once Upon a Time ended, it feels like no time has passed since de Ravin still looks incredible in Belle’s dress. Of course, the big difference is that she has blonde hair. The actress shared in the post’s caption that her daughter Vera wanted her to wear the dress that was given to her when OUAT ended. It’s been quite a while since she wore it, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better reason to bust it out. As she explained:

Regardless of the reason that the Lost alum is wearing Belle’s dress, it is so good to see her in it. The mere sight of her honestly makes me want to rewatch the show for the umpteenth time. And it also makes me want a reboot. There have been rumors regarding a Once Upon a Time revival over the last few years, but there hasn't seemed to be any true movement. While some might think the show went on too long, (and I personally think it could have ended after Season 6), I do like the idea of seeing what everyone is up to following the series finale.

That aside, de Ravin’s Belle dress makes me wonder what the other cast members got for their wrap gifts. I can’t imagine how hard it may have been for them to say goodbye to their characters, who they helped usher through a plethora of story arcs.

At present, though, it's just lovely that Emilie de Ravin is able to share such a special moment with her daughter. I know actresses sometimes have a tendency to pass down outfits to their kids when the time comes, and I hope his costume goes to de Ravin's little girl at some point.

Amidst news that Sheamus is on his way out of the WWE, his longtime friend and former tag team partner Claudio Castagnoli is speaking out. The wrestler, formerly known as "Cesaro," weighed in on his buddy joining AEW and ultimately balked at sharing what he knows about the situation.

The "Swiss Superman" spoke to the Daily Star about a litany of things related to AEW, and of course, was asked whether we'll see Sheamus make his debut in Tony Khan's company at some point in the 2026 TV schedule. As mentioned, he shied away from a direct response, but explained why he didn't want to answer:

Castagnoli would sooner let Sheamus answer questions about his future, but made it clear he's all about working with friends in AEW. No doubt there are wrestling fans who want to see their five-time championship winning tag-team The Bar reunite, and light the pro wrestling world on fire once again.

I'm not surprised to hear that Claudio Castagnoli would like to work with Sheamus again, as they've been publicly seen together at events outside of wrestling over the years. The wrestler added that they've joked about their retirement plan being to attend referee classes for soccer and ultimately join the VAR team for big matches.

For those who don't remember The Bar, part of the tag-team's appeal was how it took two superstars who already thrived as singles competitors and made them a competent pair in the ring. Sheamus and Cesaro's style as singles competitors clashed a great deal, but they found a way to make it gel in The Bar that got over with fans in a big way.

All this to say, we don't know where Sheamus is leaning, and if he's interested in joining AEW after spending the bulk of his career in the WWE. The wrestling over there is a lot more extreme, and may be a bit of a culture shock for a guy who's spent the bulk of his development on the more sanitized WWE product.

I can't imagine Sheamus doing daring moves and cutting other wrestlers open, but I think that's what makes me so excited about the prospect of him jumping to AEW. We can always revisit his litany of "bangers" with a Netflix subscription, but what a rare opportunity it'd be to see a legend in the game reinvent himself in a more daring federation.

We'll see what Sheamus ultimately decides to do. Who knows, he may return to acting, lest we forget his role way back in the day in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

Jasmine Pineda pulled one over on 90 Day Fiancé fans and stars, to the point some of them may still be unaware. As rumors swirl that the reality star is prepping for a return to the 2026 TV schedule via a spinoff filming in Florida, she had her co-stars congratulating her on an engagement that didn't really happen. And this story has a funny twist.

Only weeks after finalizing her divorce with Gino Palazzolo, Jasmine shared a photo on Instagram with her new baby daddy, Matt Branistareanu. The pic shows Branistareanu down on one knee and handing Palazzolo a ring. It looked like the classic proposal collage, with Palazzolo even saying in her caption that her beau "got down on one knee to propose." The caption hashtags -- including "#chihuahualife" and "#dontbuyadopt" -- had me confused until I scrolled to the final slide, which read:

Yes, this was all a product promotion for a ring, and perhaps more importantly, a "proposal" by Matt to get a pet chihuahua. It seems the duo wants to adopt a pet from a shelter for their daughter, Matilda, but not everyone on the 90 Day Fiancé cast got the memo. They saw the ring pictures and jumped straight into the comments:

Admittedly, I probably would've been fooled as well had I not spotted the hashtag and seen Cortney Reardanz's comment about going to the final slide. It's amazing what people miss when they don't look through a post in its entirety.

I do still wonder how long it'll take before Jasmine and Matt tie the knot, now that she's the latest 90 Day star to divorce after marriage. Personally, I think if they do, they'd keep it a secret on social media and choose instead to make it a surprise reveal for an upcoming spinoff, or possibly a special available to those with an HBO Max subscription.

Perhaps more than any cast member, Jasmine has always been one to hide what's going on in her personal life from social media. While news of her pregnancy leaked ahead of time, she even saved that for a tell-all appearance! I don't think she'd casually announce her engagement on social media with so little fanfare, and that's one of the things 90 Day Fiancé fans love about her.

As mentioned, Jasmine is not currently on TV, but there's reported filming happening for an upcoming spinoff in Florida. 90 Day insider @Shabooty reported that she and many other cast members were spotted in Florida, in scenes that were seemingly tied to Cortney Reardanz's upcoming wedding, and a party for Jasmine. As of writing, there's no word on what this spinoff is titled or if it's tied to one of the existing spinoffs.

90 Day Fiancé airs on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. You'll have to wait a while to see when Jasmine and all her drama with Matt spills back onto the small screen, but the good news is they might have a dog the next time we see them!

Some of the best reality shows ever have come to us from the folks at Bravo, namely the Real Housewives franchise. Multiple cities are airing at any time on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription), and some of them have even inspire content in other networks. Case in point: a number of OGs from Real Housewives are New York are filming a new show for E! called The Golden Life. And Dorinda Medley recently reacted to show information leaking online.

After RHONY was rebooted back in 2022, the original cast has stayed on our TVs through Ultimate Girls Trip and Luann and Sonja's spinoff Welcome to Crappie Lake. But that'll change with The Golden Life, with leaks revealing that they were picking up production after E! allegedly ordered more episodes. Dorinda addressed this on her show Reality Checked on Radio Andy, saying:

It sounds like Dorinda Medley has a good attitude about the leaks, which is a very zen way of dealing with this unique challenge. There are high expectations for The Golden Life given how beloved the cast is, which is why there's enough interest that leaks are coming out. And it sounds like the call might be coming from inside the house.

The Housewife turned Traitors star went on to speak about why these leaks are happening, citing just how many people are working on the production of the new E! series. She offered:

She's got a point. Add in the way the ladies are photographed by people when they're filming in public, and it's hard to keep things under wraps. And this is only the latest example of the Bravo-verse suffering from leaks.

During the heights of Summer House's popularity last season footage leaked online of the reunion. Bravo launched an investigation into the matter since it was spoiling such a pivotal part of the season. Obviously the stakes are not as high for The Golden Life, but longtime RHONY fans are excited about seeing the cast back together. Dorinda Medley continued her thoughts on the leaks by saying:

Like I said, there's definitely hype surrounding this new show, even if the Real Housewives of New York City ladies are moving to a different network. So while the leaks aren't ideal, they're at least showing how much fans are invested in this group of reality TV icons.

The Golden Life doesn't currently have a release date yet, but Real Housewives fans can currently watch new episodes of Atlanta and Orange County weekly as part of the 2026 TV schedule.

Kelly Clarkson is continuing to prepare for the end of an era. The American Idol winner will be saying goodbye to her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, later this year on the 2026 TV schedule so she can focus more on her family. Even though Clarkson is ready, wrapping the show is bittersweet. Luckily, Clarkson and the crew will be going out with a celebratory bang, and she had the sweetest message after learning some big news.

Nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards were recently announced, and not surprisingly, The Kelly Clarkson Show nabbed quite a few. The music-filled talk show has earned 11 nominations for the Daytime Emmys, which will take place in September. Clarkson, who is gearing up for her “Studio Sessions” Las Vegas residency that begins this weekend, took time away from rehearsing to take to Instagram to share a sweet message:

Much like The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, which ended in May, it seems like The Kelly Clarkson Show is receiving its flowers for its final outing. This is the most nominations that the talk show has earned for the Daytime Emmys since 2023. Since 2020, The Kelly Clarkson Show has managed to walk away with at least two Daytime Emmys, so it wouldn’t be surprising if that trend continued for the final season. Among the nominations are Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host, two categories that The Kelly Clarkson Show and Clarkson herself have won in the past.

While The Kelly Clarkson Show’s final episodes won’t air until the fall, the talk show has already wrapped filming. Episodes are recorded months in advance, as opposed to most talk shows, where episodes are either recorded the day/week of, or live. The final day of production was apparently on June 11, but it’s clear that the emotions are still pouring.

The daytime talk show landscape will look a bit different next year, and not just because Kelly Clarkson is signing off. Sherri Shepherd’s own talk show, Sherri, wrapped in May following a cancellation, but she is not going down without a fight. She’s expressed interest in continuing the show in some other way, possibly a podcast, but she has a lot of other projects on her plate, so that might not be happening any time soon. Meanwhile, The Jennifer Hudson Show is staying strong and will be back with no end in sight, at least not right now.

Airdates for The Kelly Clarkson Show’s final episodes have not been announced, but that will likely be coming in the next couple of months. Before saying goodbye, though, fans will be able to see if the daytime talk show takes home any more Emmys when the Daytime Emmys air on October 13.

Dee Valladares' Week 1 Head of Household reign is almost at an end, which means the first eviction of Big Brother Season 28 is imminent. With the results of the veto competition forcing her to put up a fourth Houseguest for nomination, it seemed clear who was going home. Of course, plans can always change in this game, and it seems the targeting is shifting just ahead of the vote.

CinemaBlend is watching Big Brother online, and I'm glued to the live feeds via my Paramount+ subscription. While it seemed like Ashley Trail was going to walk out the door on Thursday with little argument from the house, we have our first change of heart, as Dee started making moves Tuesday evening.

Amy Was The House Target, But Dee Is Pushing For Yash Or Taylor

Dee originally made it clear she wanted Amy out of the house but, late on Tuesday night, began to question if that was the right move. The HOH decided that Ashley is actually good for her game and, if she's wanting safety heading into Week 2, it's good to have allies.

As a result, she's using her two main alliances, The Crossovers (Rick Devens, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Drew Campbell) and The Red Corner (Kamu Kirk, Haley Thogmartin, and Chuk Anyanwu), to ensure Ashley lives to see another week. Assuming just those people vote the way she wants, Ashley will be safe if she doesn't win the BB Blockbuster. Bad news for Taylor and Yash, who don't seem to know they're in danger if they lose the Blockbuster.

Being "Inconsequential" Has Saved Ashley...This Time

Dee is letting Kamu take the lead in thinking it's his idea to save Ashley, but the overall logic in keeping her over Yash or Taylor is simple. Ashley is "inconsequential" to the game at this point, having yet to form a solid alliance with anyone in the house. Yash and Taylor are forming bonds with others, so it makes more sense for the two afformentioned alliances to target them rather than someone who isn't a threat.

Being the outsider in the early game of Big Brother doesn't always work out, as some casts decide to pick off those people so they can all relax and settle into the game. This time around, it worked in Ashley's favor that she doesn't have any solid group she's working with, whether she's aware of it or not.

Of course, she will need to find her people eventually, because being the outsider only works for so long. JC Monduix from Season 20 is the only recent Houseguest I can think of who successfully operated as an outsider most of the game and, even then, he was an unofficial member of the dominant "Level Six" alliance toward its end. Ashley could survive as a reliable vote for either growing alliance, but it's going to take her realizing she's essentially a free agent up for grabs in these early weeks. We'll see if she catches on but, for now, it's looking like she's safe.

Big Brother continues on the 2026 TV schedule with new episodes on CBS on Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET. Right now, I'm curious to see what will happen if Ashley wins the BB Blockbuster, and who the house would be more apt to keep between Taylor and Yash.

Most of the reality competition show chatter right now is centered on Big Brother and more specifically, the casting of Survivor favorites Dee Valladares and Rick Devens on 28. Their surprise inclusion in the cast, along with BB legend Angela Murray has added a really fun and chaotic twist so far, but it turns out Dee and Rick aren’t the only two Survivor alums returning to television. One of Dee’s fellow castaways from 45 is about to get her chance, and it’s about freakin time.

Survivor 45 is best remembered for Dee’s pretty consistent domination throughout the season (and Emily Flippen greatness), but it’s also remembered by hardcore fans as a season of missed opportunities for two players who seemed to have really high upside: Kaleb and Kellie. They both had strong social games and looked good strategically but wound up being the first two members of the jury. They’re both consistently mentioned by fans as ideal returning candidates, but it looks like Kellie is about to get her shot on another reality show first.

FOX announced this week that it’s bringing back the game show 99 To Beat in the Fall to pair with breakout favorite The Floor, and rumors are swirling about some deep cut reality characters that are being brought back. Kellie Nalbandian has consistently been part of those rumors, and some of her friends, including the aforementioned Dee, have commented on social media about how excited they are to see her play. That’s enough for me to assume this is happening, and I am fired up about it.

If you haven’t watched 99 To Beat yet, you’re missing out. It sounds like the dumbest show in the entire world, but it’s an absolute blast. It follows 100 contestants who compete in a series of really simple tasks. One of them might be threading a needle and sewing two things together. One of them might be dropping a quarter into a shot glass inside a fish bowl.

Whoever finishes last is eliminated, and everyone else moves forward to the next task until eventually, there’s only one person left who wins the grand prize. Once you get a few challenges in, everyone starts taking it really, really seriously, and it leads to desperation, a lot of crying and even the occasional medical emergency. It needs a few minor tweaks, but the spirit of the show is fantastic.

During the first season, a bunch of reality show veterans participated including Survivor Queen Sandra Diaz-Twine and former winner Danni Boatwright, as well as Challenge favorite Cara Maria Sorbello and Big Brother’s Tommy Bracco. Kellie will reportedly be joined by other reality TV alum including Quinn from Big Brother and Daya Betty from Drag Race.

99 To Beat will officially return in late September. There’s no point in speculating how Kellie will do because there’s so much chance involved, but as a fan of her Survivor run, I hope we’re at least going to see a deep run and a lot of confessionals. Until then, we can all watch Dee dominate Big Brother and maybe, just maybe give us a little entertainment with a showmance.

I love everything about Fox’s quirky charmer Best Medicine. Josh Charles is rarely a miscast, Port Wenn is a picturesque setting, the rom-com component is twisty, and the side characters are divine. So, obviously, I assumed this series was going to be cancelled after one season. Turns out, it avoided the axe this spring, which is great news. Even better news? It will return in the fall instead of the spring. Sadly, this doesn’t mean what I initially hoped it would mean.

News broke this week that Best Medicine will hit the 2026 TV schedule on September 22. This continues its Tuesday night airing slot on Fox, and it will still be lined up with Doc. It also means we won’t have to wait until midseason for new episodes. I honestly thought this was great news when the date came down the pipeline, because Season 1 had aired in a tougher dead of winter slot. Bumping it to fall shows confidence in this little series, which makes me happy.

When Best Medicine initially aired, it only got a 13-episode order, which is honestly sometimes normal for network TV shows the brass aren’t sure about, and is particularly typical for shows airing at midseason. However, if you have watched a network TV show or two over the years, you should know most scripted programming still gets significantly more than a Baker’s dozen of episodes. Really popular shows, like NCIS, can sometimes get 24.

It’s not unusual at all for Fox to hand down shorter episode orders for new shows hoping to reel viewers in. For example, Baywatch is getting the midseason slot at the start of 2027, and will have 12 episodes, similar to what Best Medicine was given when it kicked off. This gives the network the chance to see if a show works.

Because Best Medicine was shifting to fall, I was really hoping it would get more episodes, and I sort of got my wish. Season 2 will feature 14 episodes rather than 13. I really shouldn’t complain, as that’s an improvement over Season 1, but what I’d really hoped for was a full episode order, something more akin to 22 episodes. That way we would have gotten new episodes throughout the entirety of the fall and spring schedule.

As it stands, I’m almost wondering if Baywatch will slot in to the Best Medicine slot in the spring.( I also think waiting on this show may be a mistake.) As you can see from the first trailer for Baywatch, the two shows really don’t have much in common, but I do think there’s something endearing about swapping from the most quintessential small coastal town on the east coast to the larger, flashier west coast.

The Big Bang Theory will soon be adding another show to the growing franchise. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is set to premiere on the 2026 TV schedule on July 23 with an HBO Max subscription. The new series will include some Big Bang Easter Eggs, even though it will mostly take place in an alternate universe. Kevin Sussman, however, revealed how Stuart Fails to Save the Universe will pick up where the original show ended.

Stuart will pick up after the events of TBBT, which ended in 2019. The series will see Stuart (Sussman) accidentally causing a multiversal apocalypse, leading him to team up with Denise (Lauren Lapkus), Bert Kibler (Brian Posehn) and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie) to fix reality. It’s going to be a treat to see these characters all together, especially Stuart and Denise, who went from comic book store owner and employee to a blossoming romantic relationship. Sussman told TVLine that the end of Big Bang gave fans a hint as to where they were going, until we had to say goodbye to them:

Even though some people may not like that this new Big Bang Theory spinoff doesn’t include any of the main cast, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is a pretty great alternative. You have some fan-favorite recurring characters that you are now able to learn more about and expand more. In Stuart and Denise’s case, we’ll finally see more of their relationship. And honestly, I couldn’t be more curious about what’s in store for them. Sussman is excited for the opportunity to touch more on these characters, in more ways than one. As he put it:

It’s likely that about seven years have passed between the events of The Big Bang Theory’s finale and the beginning of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, much like in real life. Obviously a lot can change in that time, but it sounds like Stuart and Denise are still very much together, or at least still working together. Considering the other two Big Bang Theory spinoffs are prequels, it’s hard to tell how Stuart will go. Not only is this the first spinoff that directly follows the events of The Big Bang Theory after the finale, but it’s also a multiverse show, so it could go in so many directions.

Meanwhile, it seems like the series is already having an impact, as Sussman had a full-circle moment ahead of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’s premiere. He shared a picture on Instagram from his old stomping grounds: a comic book store he used to work at, where his old boss put up a poster for his new show. And you really can’t get any more meta than that.

I am excited to see what Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is all about. The show has already been getting hyped by fellow Big Bang stars, so knowing that it’s gotten the stamp of approval from other actors makes it even better. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe premieres on Thursday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max.
