In the clip, Batalon and Zendaya appear to act as if they do not know the Spidey actor, while he makes sad little Peter Parker faces at the camera. The post’s caption reads, “Peter, who?” which is rude, but honestly pretty funny.

The text on the video twists the knife perfectly: “when your besties forget that you’re also their bestie.” Brutal, but fair. By the end of No Way Home, Doctor Strange’s spell had erased Peter Parker from everyone’s memory. The world still remembers Spider-Man, but the person beneath the mask has been erased from the lives of the people who loved him most.

Holland has teased exactly one person still knowing who is behind the webbed mask, but Ned seemingly does not remember being his guy in the chair. MJ also does not remember their relationship. So yes, this is a cute Instagram bit, but it’s built on emotional wreckage. Very Spider-Man coded, honestly.

The timing is especially fun because Brand New Day feels like a title loaded with reset energy. Holland is back for his fourth solo movie, and the franchise seems positioned to move Peter into a new era. That is also why he can’t stop, won't stop dropping Miles Morales’ name when it comes to Spider-Man’s future. But before Peter can become a mentor to another wallcrawler the guy probably needs a life again. That is what makes the Ned and MJ question so compelling. Does Brand New Day restore those relationships? Does Peter try to stay away because he thinks they are safer without him? Does the movie actually make him sit in the loneliness that No Way Home left him with?

The filmmakers clearly know fans are asking those questions, which is probably why this little trolling video works so well. The post does not give away any plot details, but it taps directly into that emotional thread. It is a wink, a tease and a reminder that Peter’s situation is still pretty brutal, even when it is being played as a social media joke. Stop and think about it for even a minute, and the whole bit suddenly has a pretty melancholy undertone.

It helps that Holland, Zendaya and Batalon have such easy chemistry. Their dynamic has been one of the secret weapons of the modern Spider-Man movies, and fans spent years watching Peter, MJ and Ned grow into one of the MCU’s most charming little friend groups.

Ahead of that, though, AI-generated photos of the couple made the rounds and seemed to provide glimpses into their big day. Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, is now weighing in on the pics, and his take only makes me want to see the real dress more.

It was around this past March that insiders made allegations about Holland and Zendaya having gotten secretly married, with further details suggesting they married in Italy. So, when the AI pictures dropped, many were hyped by the supposed sight of the two Spider-Man stars celebrating their nuptials. Law Roach discussed that viral madness when he appeared as a guest on Good Morning America. Roach dropped an A+ response after being asked what he was thinking when he saw the wedding dress depicted in the faux photos:

Despite that, the Project Runaway judge has remained tight-lipped on details regarding the ceremony and the bride’s dress. Even Christian Siriano claimed Roach was keeping dress secrets for the sake of his friend, Z. Whether the public will ever get to see that dress is unknown, but when asked if the real dress looked like the one in the photo, Roach said:

Some may scoff at the notion of AI photos fooling some people, but that’s apparently what happened. Zendaya previously revealed that the photos caught some of her loved ones off guard, and they apparently called her out for not scoring invites to the big day. Even when Holland confirmed the wedding had taken place, he only did so due to explaining that his own grandmother was confused by the pics that surfaced online.

What’s very evident, at this point, is that Zendaya and Tom Holland are very protective of their relationship and personal, meaning they want to keep aspects of it for themselves. That’s definitely admirable and respectable, though I know fans still would probably like to see that wedding dress. I’ll just say that we probably shouldn’t expect the couple or Law Roach to share any genuine photos.

Fans can, at the very least, see the aforementioned couple in two 2026 movie schedule entries. One of those is The Odyssey, which opens on July 17, and the other is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which arrives on July 31.

So, you know singing and dancing won’t be a problem for the Emmy winner, as Tom Holland said. And because we haven’t seen the actress/singer in a light romance movie before, why not take that genre on with her real-life husband?

As for Tom Holland, he's got some moves of his own! In fact, he joined the cast of Billy Elliot on the West End when he was only 12 years old. Now, Holland is set to play Fred Astaire in the song-and-dance man’s biopic. He's actually started working on the film too, as he explained on Good Hang with Amy Poehler that he had his first dance rehearsal for the flick recently. So, we know he's got the moves; now, we just need to hear his vocal chops.

You have to admit that a Tom Holland-Zendaya rom-com is exactly what we need. While the pair share plenty of cute romance scenes in the Spider-Man movies, their characters still face the constant threat of enemies. So, I'd love to see them tell a story where their characters simply fall in love. Plus, The Drama actress looked very impressed watching her other half dancing ballet in front of her and doing a funny impression of his Billy Elliot singing. So, I can see them having a lot of fun singing and dancing together in a musical.

However, I’m surprised at how much Tom Holland’s performance of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” has been coming up — and especially how the latest mention relates to his wife Zendaya.

It’s been nine years since Tom Holland donned the black wig, shorts and fishnet stockings on Lip Sync Battle, but he is still talking about what he’s called the “most stressful thing I’ve ever done in my life.” It sounds like something great came out of it, though, as a source allegedly close to Zendaya said the “Umbrella” moment was when she “fell hard” for Holland and “sealed the deal” for her in their relationship. The insider told the Daily Mail:

Apparently, that now includes Zendaya's wardrobe, which features a ton of black. Now, one fan theory about this color choice has me seriously nervous.

Over the last several appearances promoting Brand New Day, fans have noticed that the Euphoria actress has repeatedly worn black. Some viewers think the darker looks are teasing a death, which obviously worries me, but others also think it could be a tease for Spider-Man's black symbiote suit. Could Zendaya be quietly hinting at Venom's eventual arrival in the franchise? Maybe!

A few people have even suggested that the colors symbolize MJ's emotional state after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which Peter Parker was erased from her memory. Some of the best responses included:

Despite not remembering who Peter is, the first Brand New Day trailer hints that, deep down, MJ’s connection to him might be bubbling under the surface. Here's the thing. The original post made me laugh, but the more I thought about it, the more nervous I became. Marvel loves visual storytelling, even in promotional tours. Actor interviews and promos have become extensions of marketing campaigns, even down to wardrobes. Stars frequently coordinate colors and themes with the projects they're promoting. We've already seen both Zendaya (a known method dresser) and Holland appear in combinations of black, white, blue and red during various events. But, beyond the fashion, there is a legitimate reason for fans to be worried.

Well, Tom Holland’s co-star and real-life partner Zendaya just reminded me by pointing out her favorite thing about him playing Spidey, and it has nothing to do with his onscreen persona.

In a chat with Fandango for the upcoming Spider-Man film, Zendaya explained that her favorite part of watching Holland be Spider-Man is not a stunt, a scene or even the way he plays Peter Parker. For her, it has everything to do with how he handles being Spidey off-screen. She explained:

Hell, I even love that their relationship is so sacred and worth protecting that they don’t share every detail of it with us.

Despite some complaints about the season, she expertly slipped back into character and balanced both humor and the high-stakes drama of Rue's role in organized crime. Her performance in the controversial finale was particularly strong, and I think that might be the episode that's submitted for Emmy consideration. Either way, it's clear that the internet is paying attention and invested in her possibly scoring a third trophy.

While there were rumors about Zendaya having beef with Sydney Sweeney, the real truth is that both actresses' careers are thriving. And there's been no actual evidence of bad blood; it's mostly fans reading into their interactions (or lack thereof) on the red carpet.

While it's still unclear if there's actual bad blood between these two, there's been discourse that Zendaya might be distancing herself from Sydney Sweeney. Namely because of controversies surrounding the latter actress such as that infamous American Eagle jeans commercial.

Sweeney has been saying goodbye to Euphoria with a variety of posts... which happen to not include Zendaya. Another post can be seen below, and is a set photo of her in costume as Cassie Howard.

Of course, it's worth noting that these posts don't feature any of Sweeney's co-stars. Still, some corners of the internet are taking this as proof that there's a beef between her and Zendaya. We'll jut have to wait and see if one of the actors actually comments on this ongoing discourse.

This chatter comes as rumors swirl Zendaya was unhappy with how Euphoria ended. She notably wasn't an EP on the third and final season, despite being one on the first two. Sweeney posted yet another IG Story that didn't feature any of her co-stars, check it out below:

Once again, Sweeney didn't' share any photos with he castmates. So I'm not sure this is evidence that she's got a beef with Zendaya. Because by this standard, you could say the same for any of the other actors like Maude Apatow or Alexa Demie.

When Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out on the 2026 movie schedule, it will mark nine years since Tom Holland and Zendaya collaborated for the first time on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Since then, they’ve become quite the power couple, and they’ve continued working together. Now, the Peter Parker actor has revealed a conversation he had with his partner while making this new movie that he would not have had with an actress he wasn’t in a relationship with.

As we get closer to the release of this upcoming Marvel movie, Holland is sharing some BTS stories about filming his fourth Spider-Man film. When he appeared on Good Hang, he told Amy Poehler all about a conversation he had with Zendaya that led to a dramatic change in a scene for the movie. Recalling the tough conversation they had, he said:

Yeah, I’d imagine asking your scene partner if what they’re filming is working isn’t something that’s super welcome. However, because Tom Holland and Zendaya have been a couple for so long (they got engaged at the end of 2024), I’d assume there’s a level of trust and understanding between them that makes critical conversations like this significantly easier.

This turned out to be a vital conversation, too, because it led to a really great change. Explaining what happened after he asked Zendaya if the scene was working, Holland said:

While that had to have been a hard conversation to have, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day director was totally accepting and open to the note. After that, they worked together to rework the scene and make it better. Explaining the process that began because he asked Zendaya that question, Holland said:

He went on to say that if he had asked another actor if the scene was working, it probably wouldn’t have gone over well. And that likely would have meant that this big and important change didn’t happen.

Since he’s in a relationship with Zendaya, they know each other so well that they’re able to communicate in a way that people who are only colleagues might not be able to. So, thank goodness they’re actually a couple, because now we’ll get this scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day that “sings.”

In the past, Zendaya has spoken about Holland being her “favorite” person to work with, and in 2026 alone, they’ll be in two movies together, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey. So, it’s clear they have a rapport, both in a personal and professional sense, that benefits them and the projects they work on.

Now, to see these two back together on screen, you can watch The Odyssey in theaters on July 17. And then to see them return as Peter and MJ, you can catch Spider-Man: Brand New Day (and this scene that was changed because of their relationship) in theaters on July 31.

For years folks watched Sam Levinson's Emmy-winning drama Euphoria on HBO (and streaming with a HBO Max subscription), although the final episode was a bit controversial. And after rumors that Zendaya didn't like the ending, now her mother has commented about that heartbreaking Rue twist.

Shortly after its premiere, Euphoria joined the ranked of HBO shows that got the world talking, thanks to its amazing performances, unique visual language, and dramatic story. Fans are split on Euphoria's ending, which saw Rue overdose early into its runtime. Zendaya's mother Claire Stoermer took to her Instagram Stories to share her response to the episode, posting:

Well, it sounds like Stoermer might not have loved how Euphoria ended. But since she had to watch her daughter pretend to OD in the final episode, can you really blame her? Of course, fans are going to be curious about the comments she's chosen to keep close to the chest.

This cryptic post might encourage online chatter about Zendaya possibly being unhappy with Euphoria's series finale. There's been plenty of rumors swirling around online, especially after the actress didn't do press for Season 3 and wasn't credited as an Executive Producer as she had been in the first two seasons. Some folks theorize that she had a falling out over Rue's ending, but it remains to be seen if there is any validity to the discourse.

It's more than possible that Claire Stoermer's IG Story is just about her own feelings, and not a reflection of what her A-list daughter thinks about how Euphoria ended for Rue. After all, the original Israeli show that the HBO series was based on also saw its protagonist die of an overdose. Regardless, there are clearly tons of fans who aren't happy with this tragic ending.

While the series finale had some great moments like its tribute to late actor Angus Cloud, it's also gotten criticism for its handling of various characters. That includes Hunter Schafer's Jules, who had just one scene (and no dialogue).

Peter Parker and MJ’s ending in Spider-Man: No Way Home remains one of the more emotionally rude things the MCU has done to me personally. After everything those two went through, Peter choosing to let MJ and Ned forget him felt heroic, sure, but also like watching someone gently shut a door on my little Spider-heart. Apparently, Zendaya is right there with us as she opens up about being in her “feels” about Peter and MJ’s split in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Speaking with Empire for its July issue about her 2026 movie calendar release, the actress opened up about where Peter and MJ stand after Doctor Strange’s spell erased Peter Parker from everyone’s memory. And yes, she knows exactly how painful that split feels for fans who just wanted these two kids to catch one single break. She explained:

That is the part that hurts, right? It is not that Peter and MJ stopped caring about each other. It is not that they had some messy breakup over college, distance or the kinds of things that normal young relationships go through. Their relationship was torn apart by a spell Peter agreed to, believing it would keep the people he loved safe. That is peak Peter Parker tragedy.

No Way Home ended with Tom Holland’s Peter visiting MJ at the coffee shop where she worked, only to realize she and Ned were better off without him re-entering their lives. It was a quiet, painful little scene after a movie full of MCU multiverse chaos, leaving Peter fully alone as Spider-Man.

What makes Brand New Day especially interesting is that MJ’s side of the relationship has been reset, at least from her perspective. She does not share the same emotional history as Peter, which creates a strange acting challenge for Zendaya. She continued:

That is fascinating and also deeply upsetting. For MJ, Peter is not her boyfriend who sacrificed their future. He is, presumably, just some guy. But for Peter, she is still MJ. She is still the person who knew him, loved him and was there for the most impossible parts of his life.

Reportedly, MJ has another romantic interest in Brand New Day, played by Ahsoka actor Eman Esfandi. Which, emotionally speaking, feels like somebody kicked Peter Parker in the ribs while he was already down.

That said, it also sounds like MJ and Spider-Man will still cross paths in the upcoming superhero movie. It seems the pair will somehow pair up, while Spidey does his neighborhood Spidey heroics, which could give the movie a very different dynamic from the earlier trilogy. MJ may not know Peter, but she knows Spider-Man exists. That opens the door to all kinds of painful dramatic irony, with Peter trying to protect someone who does not remember why he would do so.

The best thing about Zendaya’s comments is that she clearly cares about the emotional continuity, even when the character technically does not remember it. That gives me hope Brand New Day will not treat Peter and MJ’s separation like a simple plot reset. It sounds like the heartbreak is the point.

Fans have been watching its long-awaited third season on the network (and streaming with a HBO Max subscription), and it's been a doozy. The series finale saw Zendaya's protagonist Rue surprisingly die, and fans can't seem to agree on whether or not this was the right choice for the Emmy-winning series.

Euphoria Season 3 in many ways felt like a new show, with new music, visuals, and a much more adult story. Rue's death was a twist that I was dreading, and the fact that Alamo caused her relapsed and poisoned her with fentanyl was especially heartbreaking. And the discourse from the fans has been very real since the episode aired.

Some Fans Agree With Sam Levinson About The Finale.

Sam Levinson's work on Euphoria was inspired by his own history with drug abuse. And in the inside-the-episode segement he shared that Rue's death was unfortunately very realistic and "honest" given how pervasive fentanyl has become in the drug world. There are some fans who I appreciated the unapologetic way that he killed of Zendaya's character, and they're sounding off online. One such tweet reads:

Another defense of Rue's death is that it's exactly how the original Israeli series ended. Indeed, Sam Levinson's show is a new adaptation of a pre-existing show. As a twitter account pointed out:

Additionally, some fans are pointed out that Rue's ending mirrors the real-life death of actor Angus Cloud. Season 3 has been honoring Cloud in many ways, and the finale featured a beautiful shot of him and Zendaya. As another fan posted:

The official Instagram account of Euphoria posted a goodbye message to Rue, and there are plenty of folks sounding off in the comments, sharing how emotionally effective they thought the ending was. Some responses include:

Clearly there are some folks who thought that the Euphoria series finale was effective, including Rue's death. On the other side of the coin, there are some fans who are seriously unhappy.

A Lot Of Them Seem Really Unhappy

Twitter exploded after the Euphoria finale aired, with a lot of the discourse being about Levinson's decision to kill off Rue. There are a ton of angry tweets and comments online, some of which read:

Well, they certainly aren't holding back their opinions. Euphoria fans clearly have a ton of love for Rue, and there are lots of folks who were disappointed with her ending. Zendaya's character overdosed fairly early into the episode itself, and it was a bleak final chapter of the acclaimed series. Some people wanted a happy ending, or at least more screen time for the starring cast. Instead it was Colman Domingo's Ali who ended up being the focus of the latter half of the Season 3 finale.

It should be interesting to see how the discourse continues for Euphoria's final episode, and if opinions change as time passes. After all, it's almost impossible to please everyone when wrapping up a beloved show.

Sam Levinson's Euphoria is a bona fide sensation, joining the ranks of HBO shows that got the world talking back in Season 1. The long-awaited third season is airing now on the network (and with an HBO Max subscription), and it's been a doozy so far. There is one last episode coming down the line, and I'm worried that one of the main characters is going to get killed off. Namely, Zendaya's protagonist Rue.

Euphoria Season 3 picked up years after the characters graduated from high school, and the stakes couldn't get much higher. This is especially true for Rue, who is in the middle of an organized crime battle... while also secretly working for the DEA. And I'm getting nervous that the show's lead character is going to end up like Adriana in The Sopranos. Hear me out.

I Really Hope Rue Doesn't Get The Adriana Sopranos Treatment

It's been hinted that Season 3 might be Euphoria's final chapter, including by Emmy-winning Zendaya herself. And as such, Rue's situation feels especially precarious ahead of the season finale. She's got two different crime lords who seemingly want her dead, and that's without her even being outed as an informant for the DEA. And if both Laurie and Alamo find out the truth, smart money says she'll be in even more danger.

I had Sopranos flashbacks as soon as Rue ended up being questioned by the DEA, and not-so-subtly strong-armed into giving them information about Laurie and Alamo's drug deals. Adriana was my favorite character on David Chase's acclaimed HBO series, and the fact that Euphoria is on the same network made the connection even stronger. And with one episode left, I'm seriously worried that Euphoria's lead character is about to meet her maker.

While they have very different stories and backgrounds, I can't help but see the similarities between Rue and Adriana. Both were unwillingly roped into being informants, putting them in even more danger than they already were. Rue was forced into her life as a drug mule because of the money she owed Laurie, while Adriana was systematically targeted by the FBI due to Christopher's involvement in the mob. We all know what happened to Drea de Matteo's character in The Sopranos, and I'm really hoping that Rue is spared in Euphoria's Season 3 finale.

Unfortunately, it's not looking great for Zendaya's signature character. The penultimate episode of Season 3 saw Faye betraying her, which will seemingly put her in even more danger with Laurie's crew. Then there's Alamo, who was informed of her DEA connection thanks to Maddie's desperation to save Cassie. Both criminal bosses seemingly want her dead, and things are going to go from bad to worse if her identity as a mole comes out.

All will be revealed when Euphoria's finale airs this Sunday as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Fingers crossed Rue survives all the drama. Folks who want to re-watch Adriana's time on The Sopranos can stream it over on HBO Max.

Ever since Zendaya turned up with a massive engagement ring on her finger at the beginning of last year, the actress has been the subject of a lot of chatter around weddings and marriage. Plus one of her many 2026 movies is The Drama, where she stars as a bride-to-be, as well. While she hasn’t said much about her own alleged nuptials with Tom Holland, she did disclose a cute story about her longtime connection with wedding gowns.

Earlier this year, Zendaya and her stylist did what they do best: method dressing to promote one of her movies. The theme was weddings for The Drama press tour and she wore “something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue”. While talking about getting to wear a wedding dress for the movie as well, Zendaya had this to say:

Oh, now we need to see these Halloween photos. I bet she was adorable! I personally don’t think this is odd at all. I was every Disney Princess for Halloween I could be as a kid, and a lot of that probably had to do with wanting to wear pretty dresses, too. Brides are so gorgeous and beautiful, too – what five to six year old wouldn’t want to be one?

For The Drama, Zendaya wore a lovely simple wedding dress for the film before wearing a couple of other white gowns at premieres. I know my favorite has to be at the Los Angeles premiere when exemplified “something old” by rewearing what she donned at her very first Oscars – which happened to be a white gown. After knowing this background about Zendaya’s past with wedding gowns, I’m happy she got to go all out on wedding dresses for The Drama recently.

Zendaya also reportedly recently wore her own wedding dress when she allegedly got married to Tom Holland, but we may never see what it looked like. The pair are couples goals but are notoriously private about their personal lives. Amidst rumors of the two getting married, Zendaya spoke recently about understanding the “parasocial investment” fans have with them while also sharing how important it is for her to “have things for [herself]” outside of the public eye.

The Drama is one of those movies that’s instantly polarizing. Its topic and style will produce mixed reactions. I knew this going into the film, because I saw a TMZ article that spoiled the main topic before the movie even hit theaters. This instantly made me hesitant to watch The Drama.

Then I saw some of the critics’ reactions. This made me even more cautious about watching The Drama. It’s a serious subject matter that I don’t think should ever be played for laughs. When I actually watched the movie, the conversations around it became a lot more nuanced than expected.

Warning: The Drama spoilers are ahead. Proceed with caution. Trigger warning about topics of gun violence and murder.

The Drama Was More About Factors That Lead To School Shootings Than The Act Of Them

TMZ’s article talked about a parent being upset about The Drama covering the topic of a school shooting. I was immediately disgusted by the idea. In the film, Emma (Zendaya) reveals to her fiancé and friends that the worst thing she ever did was plan a school shooting. She didn’t execute it, but came close. A24 marketed the movie as a romantic comedy. Therefore, I automatically expected the film to try to make light of the situation and focus on the love story between Emma and Charlie (Robert Pattinson).

Because of Zendaya and Pattinson, The Drama was one of the upcoming A24 movies that I looked forward to seeing the most. Learning about the twist made me lose some interest. However, I still planned to watch it in theaters or when it became available to stream. Once I watched the movie, I found myself less outraged and more understanding of what writer and director Kristoffer Borgli tries to convey with The Drama.

Emma tells Charlie about how she became fascinated by the idea of a mass murder and guns. Then she tells him why she didn’t go through with it, and then she became radicalized in the opposite direction. She became an advocate against guns and violence. Young Emma (Jordyn Curet) is portrayed as highly impressionable.

She doesn’t know how to deal with her emotions, so she glamorizes something dark and disturbing. However, through these school-mandated programs, she starts to see the humanity behind the people she almost killed. One of The Drama’s most powerful scenes is just Emma looking at one of her potential victims. She cries because she seemingly finally grasps the severity of the situation

Not everyone who does a mass shooting is just a lost child. I think that’s why some people have problems with the movie. It humanizes and reduces something so devastating to a simple concept. A lot of these people who end up committing these acts have mental health issues, or lack empathy, or suffer from other behavioral problems. However, Emma isn’t the poster child for all mass shooters. She represents a group of them who are impressionable children who find comfort in the wrong things. She is not the archetype for school shooters.

I Found Myself Sympathizing With Emma More Than Expected

The Drama kind of portrays Emma as someone who just grew out of this phase because of finding friends, a cause, and these programs. That’s not necessarily the best way to treat this situation, but Emma represents a certain type of child. The film is critical of modern times. We live in an age where there is so much information to absorb and consume. Therefore, children can, unfortunately, be influenced by what and how much information they watch or read a day. They can be radicalized in the wrong ways by group chats, social media, television, music, etc.

Many children who are bullied don’t automatically decide to kill people. Nonetheless, there are children who find themselves easily influenced by things around them, especially if they spend too much time by themselves searching the internet. Many parents are too busy and drained to regulate everything their child consumes, especially during key development stages. Emma should be judged and persecuted (in a way) for her almost actions.

However, we must remember that she’s a young child who was influenced because she had easy access to too many things and not enough restrictions, guidance, and the development of social norms. Emma isn’t portrayed like every teen, but some may relate to her feeling of isolation and the desire to hurt others, but never acting on those desires. This is a scary reality that we unfortunately face in today’s society.

I Felt Conflicted About Charlie’s Behavior

The Drama has a very harsh twist that makes the movie work. Charlie is put in a nearly impossible situation. He learns that his future wife almost committed a heinous crime. No one would know how to handle the situation. You instantly relate to him. I think many would leave their fiancé, but some may try to work past it. Charlie cannot make a decision.

That’s where the problems with this character start. He continues to be indecisive on whether to protect her from the discussions and judgment, or to leave her because she’s not who he thought she was, and now can’t understand who she is and almost was. Charlie then starts to engage in his own bad behavior, including almost having sex with a coworker.

He starts to morph into a bit of a villain. That’s where the comedy of The Drama resides. It’s in Charlie’s extreme behavior. I found myself annoyed with him at times, but then I remind myself that I don’t know how I would handle the situation.

However, Charlie is frustrating because he just didn’t communicate with Emma. Instead of being fully honest, he continued to try to pretend everything was okay. This led to things continuing to escalate and go downhill.

The School Shooting Aspects Were Still Hard To Deal With, But I Didn’t Ever Feel Like The Movie Was Desensitized To The Victims

I am still conflicted by The Drama. This type of film can be very triggering for families of victims of mass shootings. People need to be warned before seeing it. It also humanizes Emma, and some may not want to see people who did or could do this humanized, when this type of thing causes so much devastation.

Rachel (Alana Haim)’s cousin is a victim of a school shooting. It has left her paralyzed. The character only briefly appears in The Drama, but I never felt like the movie was making fun of her or what happened to her. It just needed someone to represent a victim of these hideous acts. I can only speak from my perspective, so others may have viewed and reacted to the movie differently because of their lived experiences.

They are right for whatever they felt about The Drama. I never saw the movie as desensitized to the victims and their families. I saw it as a movie that showcases a couple handling a nearly impossible situation. And a movie trying to show and criticize how too much access to a developing mind can lead down dark roads.

I Still Can’t Believe Emma And Charlie Got Married

I think The Drama will join the list of movies with controversial endings. Emma and Charlie have the wedding from hell because Charlie never communicates his thoughts and fears about her. He lets them get married when they shouldn’t have. The Drama is not going to be on any best rom-com of all-time lists because it almost feels like an anti-rom-com.

The movie ends with them starting over, but I think they should have moved on.

2026 might as well be called “The Year of Zendaya,” as she has a lot on her plate. Already, she's intrigued audiences by helping to show the wild side of pre-marital conflicts in The Drama. The long-awaited third season of Euphoria has also been airing. And, later this year, she'll star in 2026 movie releases like Dune: Part Three and The Odyssey (which also stars her The Drama co-star, Robert Pattinson). That sounds like a lot, and I had second-hand anxiety for Zendaya when she discussed working on Euphoria, Dune, and The Odyssey simultaneously.

Zendaya got her start on the Disney Channel, so it's impressive to think that she's now one of Hollywood's most-sought-after talents. Still, the sheer volume of projects she had to work on over the last year is just wild. The star opened up about that working experience with Elle, and I dare you not to get stressed out while reading the comments:

Considering what a prolific filmmaker Christopher Nolan is, I would have anxiety as well if I messed up in the Oscar winner's presence as well. The whole situation just sounds so incredibly stressful on its own let alone having to get into character for Rue in Euphoria, learn lines in a different language for Dune's Chani and then travel to Iceland for The Odyssey.

How does she do it, you may ask? The Challengers actress previously said she credited good scheduling and her team for her ability to film all of her projects at once. Learning how to juggle is a real balancing act that the Emmy winner has clearly mastered. Unsurprisingly, she can also hit her lines, and Nolan had some grace for her when speaking to the aforementioned outlet:

Aww, I love that! Such comments shouldn't be surprising either, as Nolan is a filmmaker who's proven he knows how to work with actors. He had quite a few to work with in his upcoming historical epic, for which he cast Zendaya as Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. Nolan spoke more about the Greatest Showman taking on such a significant character in his adaptation of Homer's epic poem:

The ability to simultaneously juggle a lot of roles at once is definitely an outstanding skill for an actor to have Even Zendaya's Odyssey co-star, Matt Damon, said he was impressed with her doing work on their epic fantasy flick together and then having to go film Euphoria right after. I love that Damon even joked about his envy of only getting a “good” from Nolan after completing a scene, only for Zendaya to receive a “perfect” from their director.

As stressful as it may be to know Zendaya was flipping back and forth between Euphoria, Dune and The Odyssey, I also applaud her for getting it all done. But, after her high-profile run, the A-lister is planning take a page from Jennifer Lawrence’s playbook and just be low-key for a while. She told Elle she’ll still stay busy with family and launching the running shoe and apparel brand, On, with longtime stylist Law Roach. I'd say she's more than earned a rest.

How sweet is that? Fans who spent years watching the Marvel movies in order will remember that this pair of A-listers met and fell in love while working on Spider-Man: Homecoming together, and Brand New Day marks their fourth movie within the MCU. The pair are also both in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, although it's currently unclear how many scenes they'll actually have together on the epic drama.

While both actors' profiles have continuously grown in the years since their first Spider-Man movie, it's heartening to hear how filming Brand New Day was like "coming home" for them. Although Zendaya's comments are likely only going to increase discourse about whether or not the pair secretly tied the knot.

In early March, there were reports that Zendaya and Tom Holland actually got married, but the actors haven't confirmed or denied this claim. They were engaged back in January of 2025, to the delight of fans out there. We'll just have to wait and see how they collaborate in Brand New Day, and if they are actually married or not.

The limited footage from the new Spider-Man movie showed Tom Holland's Peter Parker living a solitary life, helping a world where no one remembers who he is. But he's continuing to monitor MJ and Ned through social media, and also seemingly moving into their building. Will their love overcome Doctor Strange's spell? Only time will tell.

As we head closer to the middle of the summer season, we’re getting more excited for Christopher Nolan’s take on The Odyssey joining other highly anticipated 2026 movie releases. While seeing what the director does with the classic epic unquestionably excited, so does the massive cast. And, apparently working with Zendaya particularly impressed Nolan – somewhat to Damon and Tom Holland’s chagrin.

Matt Damon gave Zendaya her flowers for playing the role of Athena in The Odyssey. As he shared, when it comes to working with Christopher Nolan, the director doesn’t give out compliments left and right to actors on set, but for Zendaya that was a different story. In his words, per Elle:

According to Damon, who has worked with the filmmaker on two other movies previous to The Odyssey Nolan will often react to a take with “Yep, good. Okay” if he thinks an actor nailed it, but with Zendaya she got a rare “perfect.” The Odyssey also said this about the actress:

Zendaya had the chance to play the Greek goddess while in the middle of shooting the third season of Euphoria and also prepping lines for Dune: Part Three. In the new profile, Nolan also gushed about Zendaya, saying she balanced her multiple roles with “this sense of true grace and poise”. He called the 29-year-old a “true movie star” and “an incredible actor” as well.

Aside from The Odyssey starring Damon as Odysseus, Holland as his son Telemachus and Zendaya as Athena, the movie also stars Anne Hathaway as Odysseus’s wife Penelope and Robert Pattinson plays Antinous. Lupita Nyong’o plays the dual role of Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, Charlize Theron is Calypso, Jon Bernthal is Menelaus, Benny Safdie is Agamemnon, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, among other big names.

Given Nolan’s last movie Oppenheimer won Best Picture and was a big box office hit, expectations are high for The Odyssey and Nolan said he’s been feeling a “massive amount of pressure” over adapting the beloved epic. It’s certainly no wonder why Nolan would choose Zendaya to star in the movie after her incredible track record as of late in movies like the Spider-Man, Dune films, or smaller hits like Challengers and The Drama. This year alone, the actress is in a total of four movies, along with starring in Euphoria.

Sam Levinson's Euphoria is an Emmy-winning hit show that instantly joined the ranks of HBO shows that got the world talking after it premiered back in 2019. Those with an HBO Max subscription have been watching its long-awaited third season, which has been jam-packed full of surprises. I was thrilled when Rue's mother, Leslie (Nika King), finally appeared in Episode 6, but I can't believe how little they actually showed of her. Seriously, I'm floored.

Euphoria Season 3 has been largely worth the wait... even if it feels like a very different show than its predecessors. Throughout the series, Rue has made two one-sided phone calls to Leslie, and I assumed that King wouldn't get to appear. But Episode 6 proved me wrong... kind of.

I Can't Believe They Gave Leslie Just One Line In Episode 6

Rue has been trying to connect with her religious side throughout Season 3, and during the most recent episode, she visited a church. While sitting in a pew, she spoke to her mom on the phone and apologized for everything she put the family through over the years. Zendaya's performance was powerful (as always), and at the end of the conversation, I was shocked to see Leslie appear. While I was originally hyped for the character, who was a series regular in the first two seasons, I was disappointed when she got just ONE line of dialogue.

Nika King's performance in the first two seasons of Euphoria was truly remarkable, especially that explosive Season 2 episode "Stand Still Like the Hummingbird", where Leslie and Rue's issues finally boil over into an explosive confrontation. Zendaya won her second Emmy for this episode, and King's collaboration in their scenes is at least partly why it was so effective. So the fact that she was given one single line of dialogue in "Stand Still and See" felt like a slap in the face to the fandom who waited years before Season 3 to finally arrive.

What Actress Nika King Said About The Scene

Critical response to Euphoria Season 3 has been mixed, but what does the cast think? Nika King took to Instagram after learning she got just one line, in a reel where she said:

It remains to be seen if Rue's mother gets any more scenes in the final two episodes of Euphoria. Alamo did threaten her life in Episode 6, so maybe this is teasing that their family reunion is happening... and under duress. Only time will tell, but the stakes feel extremely high for the entire cast of leading characters.

Zendaya fans are about to have the year of their life. The Dune: Part Two actress has a total of four movies on the 2026 movie schedule, the first of which (A24’s The Drama) has already been released to good reviews. Of course, her next project to premiere is none other than Christopher Nolan’s summer blockbuster, The Odyssey, in which Zendaya plays the goddess Athena. A major role in a Nolan film is a long way from her Disney days on Shake It Up, and I totally understand the advice she has looking back on her teenage self entering Hollywood.

She might be in pajama mode now, but Zendaya told Vogue Brazil that filming Euphoria Season 3, Dune :Part Three, The Drama, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and The Odyssey all in 2025 resulted in the most intense year of her life. It certainly feels like a peak moment in her career, and it’s not the only milestone she’ll hit this year. As the Challengers actress prepares to turn 30, Zendaya shared the advice she would give her teenage self, and it’s hardcore relatable to anyone, not just those in entertainment:

Starting your career as a child actor is not for the faint of heart, and the Spider-Man: Far From Home actress has acknowledged her complicated relationship with her Disney days. Not all child stars make it out unscathed, and not only has Zendaya survived growing up in the spotlight, but she has thrived and flourished in her acting career.

Past child actors have talked about how difficult it is to change audience perception once they are adults, but Zendaya has done it almost seamlessly, and I do think it’s because of the projects she has chosen. Her first major films after Disney Channel’s Shake It Up were Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman–movies that spoke to all ages, but also eased her into more mature roles.

Of course, Zendaya is more than her acting, and though we love that side of her, it’s answers like the one above that keep people coming back. The Dune actress is honest, relatable, and down to Earth, remaining true to herself, which is incredibly rare in Hollywood.

These values are especially seen in her relationship with Tom Holland. Despite falling in love in the public eye while doing the MCU Spider-Man franchise together, the two have managed to keep their relationship very private. Private, not hidden. The two Odyssey actors are always hyping each other’s projects up in the press, and it’s adorable.

It seems younger Zendaya and older Zendaya are very much in sync with their values, as a video from her Disney days resurfaced in which the Malcolm and Marie actress talks about how she wants a private, intimate wedding when she eventually gets married. So as much as I would love to see a whole documentary of her upcoming wedding to fiancé Tom Holland, I hope I never do if it means her wish comes true.

Clearly, trying her best has done her well in her career and personal life, and I can’t think of a better role model for young girls to look up to. I’m constantly in awe of the way she curates her image and protects her personal life, all while juggling a hectic filming schedule, and I know I’m not the only one.

So even though she might be worried about audiences getting sick of her, Zendaya let me put your mind at ease: you could star in a 3-hour silent film about candle making, and I would still buy a ticket. Thankfully, The Odyssey is the exact opposite of that, and I can’t wait to see her transform into the goddess of wisdom (accurate) when the Christopher Nolan epic hits theaters on July 17.

Zendaya has constructed a filmography for herself that is diverse and truly shows off her talent and range. This year alone, she’s proving that with the 2026 movie schedule, as she’s released The Drama and is preparing to premiere The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Dune: Part Three. So, that begs the question: How does this beloved actress pick her roles? Well, she provided a very insightful answer.

Now looking at Zendaya’s list of upcoming projects and considering the fact that Season 3 of Euphoria is airing on the 2026 TV schedule, it’s very clear to me just how different each and every project is. I mean, in July alone, she’ll go from Christopher Nolan’s take on The Odyssey over to an upcoming Marvel movie. So, I have wondered how she picks and chooses her parts, and she explained what she considers during an interview with Vogue Brazil:

OK, let’s break this down. Her comment about “complex and interesting characters” really struck me, because it’s so clear that her projects are picked around that mindset. I mean, to this day, I still think about her morally grey character in Challengers (which you can stream with a Hulu subscription), and if you’ve seen The Drama, you know that her character’s history is the reason why that movie is so complex and thought-provoking. Of course, I’d say all her characters fall into that category too; however, those were the two examples that really stuck out.

Now, moving on to her other point about finding a script that really captures her attention, that makes perfect sense, too. You want a project that keeps you engaged for its entire runtime, and I’d say movies like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Dune do just that. Further explaining why she wants projects like that, she said:

From the massive blockbusters to her smaller projects, that level of excitement certainly carries through. And I’m 100% feeling it in relation to her upcoming movies too, because The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Dune: Part Three are all huge, epic blockbusters that seem like they’ll be incredibly engaging and exciting to watch.

Adding one more element she considers to this list about how she picks projects, Zendaya said:

Listen, if you take one look at Zendaya’s filmography, you’ll see the laundry list of impressive filmmakers she’s collaborated with. It includes Luca Guadagnino, Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan, to name a few. And it’s easy to see why specific directors motivate her, I mean, the three aforementioned filmmakers alone and the masterpieces they’ve brought to the screen in years past make that clear.

So, that’s how Zendaya goes about picking her roles, and it seems like a very solid thought process to me.

Zendaya has played a host of characters over the course of her career, and many of them are quite complex. I’d argue that amongst the actress’ most layered roles is that of Chani from the Dune franchise. The Fremen warrior has quite an arc throughout the Denis Villeneuve-helmed blockbusters, and that’ll all come to a head in the upcoming Part Three. Ahead of that film’s release later this year on the 2026 movie schedule, Zendaya is reflecting on the character, and I love her take on what makes Chani so “beautiful.”

The fan-favorite actress shares some loving thoughts as part of the interview for her spread in Vogue Brasil. During the interview, Zendaya was specifically asked about what piqued her interest the most when it came to Chani’s journey throughout the movies. When sharing her response, the starlet spoke about several of Chani’s key attributes, and she certainly made some good points:

The Drama star definitely isn’t wrong when it comes to her assessment of Chani. While the character is intense and has her own goals, she’s very direct and doesn’t seek to manipulate people (unlike her lover, Paul Atreides). Also, Chani does indeed differ from Paul and others within the House of Atreides in that she doesn’t possess superhuman traits of any kind. The fact that she still fights so rigorously and puts her life on the line numerous times without such powers is a true testament to her physical and mental strengths.

It goes without saying that the complexities of Chani’s personality should be attributed to the skilled writing of Dune novelist Frank Herbert. And, of course, Denis Villeneuve also deserves credit, as he’s co-written the scripts for his trilogy in addition to directing. Still, Zendaya deserves praise for her pitch-perfect portrayal of the Arrakis-born heroine. Not only does the leading lady bring a strength to the role, but she also imbues Chani with a generous amount of vulnerability. The genuine affection the character has for people, including Paul, is a big reason why it stings when she learns that Atreides will take on Princess Irulan as his wife.

As the Dune: Part Three trailer teases, the story will pick up 17 years after the ending of Part Two. By this time, Paul will be the Padishah Emperor and facing the prospect of a war on Arrakis. Paul and Chani’s relationship will also become a bit more complex, especially given they’ll be the parents of twins. I can imagine the aspect of motherhood will allow Zendaya to tap into a whole other side of her character as well. Additionally, early on, Villeneuve revealed Chani was crucial for developing this new film.

If anything, I’m just glad Zendaya is a part of this threequel, because it apparently took a great deal of scheduling for her to balance it with Spider-Man 4 and Euphoria film shoots. So bless The Maker that she was able to reprise her role, and I look forward to seeing how the A-lister puts a beautiful bow on Chani’s’ story with this trilogy capper.

Dune: Part Three is set to open in theaters on December 18. While fans wait for the threequel’s release, they can stream the first two installments using an HBO Max subscription.

After four years of waiting, Season 3 of Euphoria finally premiered in April on the 2026 TV schedule on HBO and with an HBO Max subscription. One would think that, because of the long wait and the fact that much of the cast has gotten pretty big in Hollywood amid the delay, Season 3 would be the final season, and the rumor mill has supported that. HBO has yet to make an official announcement, but it seems like Euphoria could potentially get a fourth season after all, for two key reasons.

Creator Sam Levinson previously weighed in on Euphoria’s eventual end, revealing that he wants to stay focused on the final episodes of Season 3 before figuring out if there even should be a Season 4. He also admitted he writes every season like it’s the last season, which makes sense, but again, doesn’t really confirm or deny that he’s planning a fourth season. However, Forbes pointed out that HBO may have just revealed that Season 4 is on the way.

The Finale Isn't Being Promoted As The End

The advertising that HBO has put together for the drama's upcoming May episodes labels the impending Season 3 finale of Euphoria as simply the “season finale.” That may not seem like much, but other shows like Hacks and The Comeback, which are confirmed to be ending, have their concluding eps specifically noted as being “series finale.”

That distinction may just be because nothing official has been announced pointing towards Euphoria Season 3 being the final season. Still, it does give viewers some hope.

Season 3 Viewership Is Higher Than It Was For Season 2

Additionally, even with the four-year delay, the Season 3 premiere saw viewership rise by 44% from the Season 2 premiere. It’s even more impressive given the reviews for Euphoria’s third season were pretty disappointing. At this point, it’s really anyone’s guess as to whether another season is in the works, and it very well may not even be formally announced until after the finale drops on May 31.

As a fan of Euphoria since Day 1 and someone who absolutely hated the long delay, I personally wouldn’t mind seeing the show wrapped up after Season 3, especially if the stories are all basically wrapped up. Plus, following the deaths of Angus Cloud and Eric Dane, it would be better to just wrap up.

It’s unknown when the announcement from HBO will come, either confirming that Season 3 is the final season or that Season 4 is in the works. It wouldn’t be surprising if Season 3 was truly the final season, especially since much of the cast are bona fide movie stars now.

For now, fans will just have to watch the new season of Euphoria on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max while waiting to hear about the future.

People really do love Tom Holland and Zendaya’s relationship, and it’s been quite an interesting couple of months since reports started circulating that the two have secretly married. Whether that ring on Zendaya’s finger is an engagement ring or a wedding band, though, we just got a reminder why the Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars are so swoon-worthy. Holland stepped in to help the actress with a wardrobe malfunction, and the sweet moment was caught on video.

Tom Holland is saving the day on-screen and off-screen, it seems, as Zendaya experienced a bit of trouble with her dress at a padel tournament last week that was hosted by her partner’s non-alcoholic beverage brand Bero. Her backless, blue patterned dress appeared to come unfastened, and no web-swinging was necessary for Holland to swoop in for the assist, as you can see on the Instagram reel shared below:

What a gentleman! It really is the little things that count. I love that as soon as Tom Holland saw that Zendaya was struggling, he nonchalantly stepped over to help as the couple continued their conversation with an event attendee. There’s just such a level of comfort and trust between these two — which was also on display when they were seen singing along to Whitney Houston while taking in a tennis tournament — that fans just can’t get enough of.

Oh, and if anybody is still on Tom Holland ring-finger watch, he did not appear to be wearing a wedding band in this video taken April 29.

Since they confirmed their relationship in 2021, it’s been such a joy to see the love these two have for each other. They’re a generally private couple — Zendaya has spoken about protecting things that are special — but they understand that people are invested in them, especially since we’ve watched their characters fall in love on screen.

But even if his relationship is the most sacred thing Tom Holland has, he doesn’t let that stop him from showing support for Zendaya. He was her best hype man when The Drama hit the 2026 movie calendar, and he was known to casually swing by when she filmed Euphoria, as well as visiting the Dune: Part Two set.

I’ll also never forget when fans caught the Marvel actor liking every Instagram post about Zendaya when she performed at Coachella back in 2023. He was just so excited!

Again, it’s those little actions that can speak volumes about a relationship, and it’s pretty easy to see why fans are now so interested in knowing whether or not they’ve officially tied the knot.

Tom Holland proposed in late 2024, and while the couple hasn’t made any official statements about their status since Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach seemed to spill the beans, other supposed details of the nuptials have since been alleged.

An anonymous source for DeuxMoi reported in March that the couple had said “I do” in Lake Como, Italy, sometime around February. When will they confirm or deny? I’m not sure, and I’m not sure it matters to me anyway, as long as I can continue to swoon over the beautiful way they seem to always be there for each other.

Zendaya has solidified herself as one of those stars who can wear just about any outfit on the red carpet and look absolutely stunning while doing it. Whether she's channeled C-3P0 at the Dune 2 premiere or gone for tennis net-esque chic for Challengers, the former child star knows how to bring it. However, Zendaya recently got real about one Met Gala outfit that really stressed her out, and I honestly didn’t see this one coming.

The Emmy winner made her debut at The Met Gala in 2015, where she wore a sun-themed Fausto Puglisi gown that perfectly reflected the event’s theme of “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Each Met event that followed provided Zendaya (and her method-dressing stylist, Law Roach) more opportunities to show off her eye-popping fashionista side.

Despite the Spider-Man actress being able to pull off each Met look flawlessly, she revealed to British Vogue that one particular ensemble was quite hectic to deal with:

It'd be hard to forget when Zendaya went back to her Disney roots by appearing as Cinderella for the 2019 event’s “Camp: Notes on a Fashion.” I can imagine how frustrating and stressful that must have been, as the sheer notion of an outfit not being ready for a big event sounds intense. The Greatest Showman actress actually could have dealt with something similar had her cyborg-looking suit given out while wearing it at the Dune 2 premiere, so she's faced moments like these before. Still, an unfinished dress at the most major fashion event of the year would have been a big no-no.

While it would have been cool to see the Euphoria star’s dress get bigger like in the Disney princess flick, seeing the ballgown light up at the touch of Law Roach’s Fairy Godmother wand was still a big highlight of the event, in my humble opinion.

If you need a refresher, know that Zendaya literally lit up the room at the magical fashion event by wearing a Tommy Hilfiger black-and-blue ballgown. With its white puffy sleeves, corseted bodice, and her hair in a blonde French twist, you’d think she showed up at the A-list event in a pumpkin carriage.

After Zendaya gave everyone “a dream is a wish your heart makes” vibes, she returned to the Met Gala five years later and donned a sleek peacock-colored dress that made her look like she was one with the Amazon. Then, at the 2025 Met Gala, the talented star looked “Superfine” and in line with the event’s theme when she wore a custom Louis Vuitton three-piece suit that resembled a black-and-white Old Hollywood movie. So, even if part of Zendaya’s Cinderella dress was left unfinished, her following glamorous looks continued to evolve for each gala appearance she made after.

It’s not easy being a red carpet trendsetter, and it seems Zendaya is fully cognizant of that. On the other hand, her Tommy Hilfiger ballgown remains an extraordinary piece of fashion, regardless of any issues with pulling the look together. Unfortunately, recent reports have indicated that the Drama star won't attend the Met this year. Still, anyone who wants to relive her classic looks from the gala should do themselves a favor and dig into those.

Cretton's movie will finally continue the narrative of Tom Holland's Peter Parker after Spider-Man: No Way Home's twist ending. Doctor Strange's spell wiped the entire world's memories of Peter, including MJ and Ned. While appearing at the Deadline Contenders TV Panel (via Twitter) the filmmaker teased what's coming with that blockbuster, offering:

Well, color me intrigued. In these trying times, the message of reconnecting with people might be a powerful one for Marvel fans when they sit down to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But I assume that the Shang-Chi director is referencing both Zendaya's MJ and Jacob Batalon's Ned in these comments. After all, Tom Holland's hero is currently living without any loved ones, which must be a lonely existence.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer shows the title character living his new life, void of any loved ones. He's shown monitoring MJ and Ned on social media, and even showing up as their neighbor. Unfortunately, they've got no memories of Peter, which looks super painful for Holland's hero. As a reminder, you can check out the first trailer below:

Shortly after its debut Euphoria was a HBO show that got the word talking, thanks to its stellar performances and unique visuals. The series (which is streaming with a HBO Max subscription) is back for Season 3, and it's been a wild ride so far. And while Episode 3 was all about Cassie and Nate's wedding, it also included a touching tribute to late actor Angus Cloud. And Faye actress Chloe Cherry told me why she's so glad they did it.

Euphoria Season 3 has picked up on the group of characters years after graduating High School. In the most recent episode Rue left the wedding, and while driving took a call from Cloud's character Fezco from prison. It's a heartwarming and funny scene, with Fezco telling Zendaya's protagonist that he's planning on escaping prison by using parkour. I interviewd Chloe Cherry prior to the season airing, where she spoke about the way that Angus Cloud was honored by having his character alive and still having a relationship with Rue. As she told me:

Points were made. While Euphoria's cast and crew likely are still mourning Angus Cloud and feeling his absence throughout filming Season 3, creator/write Sam Levinson made the decision to have him be alive after Season 2's explosive finale. While the character was shot in that episode, it turns out he survived and was promptly sent to prison. But that hasn't ended his friendship with Zendaya's Rue, as we saw while we watched her side of their phone conversation in Episode 3 "The Ballad of Paladin."

Rue's phone call with Fez was a sweet and funny moment, and a fitting tribute to Cloud's legacy on Euphoria. Later in our same conversation, Cherry spoke more about this creative decision, telling me:

I have to agree. Because even if Fezco is behind bars and mourning Ashtray, he would still maintain his signature perspective and sense of humor. And it's heartening to know that Angus Cloud's character is still alive in-universe, despite his tragic passing in the real world.

I’m talking specifically about those rumors of beef between Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya and the controversy surrounding Sweeney’s character Cassie. However, I’m not sure any of that matters too much, if the actress is right about how many people are watching.

Sydney Sweeney reposted a Euphoria-related headline to her Instagram Stories that states the Season 3 premiere surpassed 20 million viewers around the world. You can see image below:

The post from Warner Bros. — which features an image of another Euphoria star, Alexa Demie — claims that the more than 20 million eyeballs beats Season 2’s premiere numbers by 68%. WB’s original post says Episode 2 matched the premiere, drawing in approximately 8.5 million viewers in the United States in its first three days. That’s pretty impressive.

It makes sense that people would tune in. In addition to everyone who watched the first two seasons in real time, the show had four full years to encourage anyone with an HBO Max subscription to get caught up before its (possible) final season. So although the Euphoria Season 3 reviews were harsher than I expected them to be, I can see viewers sticking with it, if for no other reason, just to see it through.

Even before people started complaining about the seasons’s big changes, though, rumors were circulating about a rift between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney — two of the series’ biggest stars.

A video of the cast was shared on social media that featured the two actresses mentioned above, as well as Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow. When the ladies gathered for a group shot, however, Sydney Sweeney was not there, fueling rumors from the past that differing political views have caused a “bitter feud” between her and the Dune actress. They also didn’t pose together at the premiere, with sources alleging it would be bad optics for Zendaya.

Then there’s the on-screen drama that has apparently been turning some fans away — and inspiring real-life OnlyFans stars to speak out. Part of Sydney Sweeney’s character’s story is that she starts an OF account, where she dresses up as a baby and sucks on a pacifier. The UK, where OnlyFans was founded, is actually looking into laws that would criminalize such controversial “age play,” but even without a ban in place, many viewers didn’t like it.

Euphoria has always been controversial, freaking parents out with all of those penises, so the fact that some stories are rubbing fans the wrong way is absolutely nothing new. One has to wonder if a little bit of controversy might actually help the HBO drama to maintain those impressive premiere numbers. Will you be tuning in?

You know, art is subjective, and to one person a painting of an actor looks like Zendaya and to another it looks like Jason Momoa. I know that sounds random, but that is a real thing that happened when Anya Taylor-Joy presented a painting to Jack Black. She said it was the Supergirl actor, while the School of Rock star thought it was a “topless Zendaya.” Now, Jason Momoa himself has been confronted with this painting.

Before we get to Momoa’s reaction, let me give you a brief history lesson. While Anya Taylor-Joy and Jack Black were promoting The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’s release on the 2026 movie schedule, they were asked to paint one of their past co-stars. Black chose his Jumanji co-star Dwayne Johnson, while The Queen's Gambit star picked her Dune: Part Three co-star Jason Momoa. However, the Bowser actor thought it was her other Dune co-star, Zendaya (even though the person in the painting isn’t wearing a shirt).

Then, a few weeks later, Jason Momoa was presented with this painting during an interview with ET. Here’s how he reacted:

As you can see in the video, Momoa was asked who the painting was of, and he did correctly guess himself, though not with much confidence. First, he said “Aquaman,” and then, because it seemed “Hawaiian” and there was a surfboard, he followed that up with Chief of War (which you can stream with an Apple TV subscription). Ultimately, he didn’t really land on an answer, saying:

When he was told it was him, he immediately said it was hard to tell because the painting didn’t have facial hair, which is valid. However, I would like to note that in the Dune: Part Three trailer, you can see that Momoa does not have a big beard like he normally does, and that’s the movie he worked on with Taylor-Joy. So, I see a potential reason why she didn’t include it.

My favorite moment in the video, easily, comes right after that when Momoa learned that Anya Taylor-Joy painted this. He smiled so big, and then when he was told that Black thought it was Zendaya, he replied with:

Honestly, I don’t think he could have had a better response. He was so kind and clearly got a real kick out of it. Plus, I’d imagine it was really fun for him to hear that his Dune: Part Three colleague and his Minecraft co-star had this wild interaction that was centered around him.

Now, I hope Momoa gets the chance to show off his artistic skills and paint either Anya Taylor-Joy or Jack Black. All three of them have multiple releases this year, with Momoa specifically having parts in the upcoming DC movie, Supergirl, Street Fighter and Dune: Part Three, so the chance for him to paint them (or maybe even Zendaya for real) is out there.

Fans are still waiting for answers regarding wither engaged couple are Tom Holland and Zendaya are truly married. All the while, it's hard not to reflect on the earlier days of this romance, which began when the pair apparently started dating in 2017 after working on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Speaking of 2017, someone found a video from that year, and it shows Holland using his ballet skills to impress Zendaya (and I’m loving the fan comments).

Before Holland and Zendaya's relationship was confirmed by photos of a car make-out session in 2021, the two appeared together in some viral videos with friends. To that point, Reddit user @mcfw31 found and shared a throwback video of the Cherry actor showing off his very impressive ballet dancing in the company of his Spider-Man co-star. Check it out:

That comment is, of course, a reference to Tom Holland's viral performance of Rihanna's "Umbrella" on Lip Sync Battle, which is downright perfect. Holland does indeed have a bit of a skip in his step, and I love it. And, regardless of whether or not his dance moves helped attract Zendaya to him, I'm just happy the two are still together.

After years of delays Season 3 is finally here, and some fans are taking umbrage with its countless changes. But I actually think that folks are coming down too hard on the series. Let's break it down.

Euphoria Season 3 is set years after the Season 2 finale, with the cast of characters now young adults away from high school. The critical response to Season 3 has been pretty negative, and fans are also sounding off online. But I think the key to enjoying the new batch of episodes is all about perspective.

Euphoria Season 3 Isn't Bad, It's Just A Different Show

From the beginning of Season 3's premiere "Ándale", it's clear that we're not in High School anymore. Rue is shown being a drug mule after being found by Laurie, and the show looks and feels totally new. The bright neon lighting is gone in favor of more toned down color grading, and the former group of friends are now disconnected and living very different lives.

In many ways it feels like Euphoria Season 3 is actually a spinoff, rather than another installment of the beloved series. And I think that if fans embrace that perspective, they'll be able to enjoy the series' return to TV more. As someone who had the chance to see the first three episodes early, ahead of interviewing Euphoria stars like Chloe Cherry, I can say that the narrative is compelling. It simply doesn't feel like the same show that we fell in love with.

The stakes for Euphoria Season 3 feel especially high since the beloved cast is no longer playing kids. Rue's storyline as a drug mule is obviously the most dire, and I'm glad that the story involved Martha Kelly's Laurie finally returned in the premiere episode. Things are also looking bleak for Cassie and Nate, with the latter struggling to keep his father's business afloat. They aren't kids anymore, which is another reason why the new season feels more like a spinoff than a return to the same show.

Only time will tell how fans respond to the rest of Euphoria Season 3, which seems like it will be the final chapter in Sam Levinson's drama. Will they eventually get on board, or will they lament about how much better the first two season were? We'll have to see, but the show is likely going to make headlines either way.

One of this year’s highly anticipated sequels would have to be Dune: Part Three. With the sci-fi saga's epic conclusion, fans will get to see the consequences of Paul Atreides’ rise as the Padishah Emperor. They'll also get to see where he stands with his lover, Chani, played by Zendaya. It seems the threequel’s female lead is already dressing in a way that channels the vibes of Arrakis. However, fans didn't seem to be feeling the outfit Zendaya wore while she promoted the film days ago.

In all seriousness though, I'd say stylist Law Roach worked his magic again by plucking that outfit from Schiaparelli's Fall 2026 collection. The sandy shades of beige in the suit-skirt set came equipped with exaggerated shoulder pads and a wide, pointed collar. Also, the corseted skintight outfit is the perfect way to represent Zendaya’s evolution as an adult, and fans will see growth for fierce Fremen warrior Chani as well in the upcoming threequel.

Amid Dune: Part Two's release, Zendaya’s C-3P0 armored look went viral and gave fans of glimpse of some truly futuristic-looking duds.

The Challengers actress has also rocked two other perfect outfits for that first sequel: a chic white jacket/maxi skirt set and a deep emerald satin number. It’s officially known that the fan-favorite actress has a role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but details on her character are being kept under web and key. The chatter doesn’t seem to be simmering down either, as the Spidey flick’s release date approaches amid the 2026 movie schedule. As Sink continues to face those rumors, though, co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya are showing support in a different respect.

How Did Tom Holland And Zendaya Show Support For Spider-Man Co-Star Sadie Sink?

Over the course of her career, Sink has, of course, amassed plenty of screen credits, with her role as Max Mayfield on Stranger Things essentially serving as her career breakthrough. Sink, however, has also been stage acting for years, and she’s most recently been headlining the latest revival of Romeo and Juliet in London’s West End alongside Noah Jupe. This past week, Sink had some excellent visitors show up, as Tom Holland and Zendaya were present at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Video of Holland and Zendaya’s appearance at the show was captured on video by a fan and shared to X. The footage has since gone viral, and many seem to love the fact that the couple decided to check out their co-star’s stage play. Of course, Zendaya and Holland haven’t actually spoken out about why they attended the production. However, it feels like a given that they intentionally went as a show of support for Sink, which is a notion I love.

The cast of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies have seemed genuinely close throughout the duration of the franchise. Obviously, Holland and Zendaya are engaged (or married?), but Jacob Batalon, Angourie Rice and other franchise alums have also seemed quite chummy. It’s definitely fun to see the likes of Peter Parker, Michelle Jones and Need Leeds chopping it up on camera, but it’s even cooler to see the actors interact and support each other off camera.

What I can’t help but wonder, however, is whether any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans have reached out to Sink in regard to handling spoilers. (Holland, in particular, is known for spoiling scenes.) Regardless of that, it feels like Sink is going to have to keep dodging questions for a few more months.

What’s Being Said About Sadie Sink’s Brand New Day Role?

Next to nothing is known about Sink’s character in Brand New Day, but rumors point to her playing a particularly powerful character within Marvel lore. It’s been alleged that Sink is playing Jean Grey, who’s one of the key members of the X-Men. That speculation has gotten so strong that we’ve gotten to the point where fan art of Sink as Grey now exists. (And I’d be lying if I said some of the illustrations weren’t solid.)

Still, Sink has been doing a fine job of not spilling any “Spider-Man” secrets, and that’s understandable, considering she spent years keeping her lip zipped when it came to Stranger Things intel. Despite her ability not to give anything away, though, Sink also admitted that not talking about her MCU debut was “torture.” At the very least, she’s almost reached the finish line.

I’m looking forward to seeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in theaters on July 31. However, I’m also eager to see the upcoming press tour, which could yield some fun moments involving Sadie Sink, Zendaya and Tom Holland. I’d even love to see a great moment in which Zendaya and Holland talk up Sink’s (already-praised) performance.

Honestly, this tracks. Euphoria fans love Zendaya's character, and Laurie presents a huge threat for the show's protagonist. And Martha Kelly seems to love all the interactions she's had with them in the years between Season 2 and 3. We'll just have to see how the tension between Laurie and Rue ends up playing out throughout this next batch of episodes.

Laurie was a big unanswered question in Season 2 of Euphoria. After Zendaya's character procured a suitcase full of drugs from the dealer, her mother ended up throwing it all away. Laurie previously threatened to sell Rue to human traffickers, and the fact that she showed up in Season 3's trailers show that Kelly's villain is still planning on collecting.

The critical response to Euphoria Season 3 has been mixed, but it remains to be seen how fans will respond to the show's new (and possibly final) season. Set a few years after the characters graduated from High School, Rue and her friends are now adults. And the trailers for the new season show that Zendaya's protagonist is getting involved with organized crime and dealing with new characters who might be even more terrifying than Laurie.

Euphoria premieres April 12th on HBO as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Martha Kelly is now a series regular, so we should expect to see way more of her Emmy-nominated performance in Season 3.

It’s been over four years since Euphoria last aired on HBO, and now, despite Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and the rest of the Euphoria cast being a bit older, we can officially say that Euphoria Season 3 has arrived. Critics had the opportunity to screen the first three of the final eight episodes (or are they?), and so far the response is a lot rougher than I expected. Maybe there’s more to that viral Euphoria tweet than fans would like to admit, with critics calling the show “lazy,” “creepy,” and a “stark disappointment.”

With so many of the Euphoria actors exploding in Hollywood over the past four years, it’s impressive that creator Sam Levinson even managed to rally the troops; I don’t even know how Zendaya fit it into her schedule. Even so, the story still needs to satisfy, and according to Lauren Sarner of the New York Post, it’s an “unhinged disaster.” The Euphoria Season 3 review reads:

The above critic says that to Sam Levinson, being an adult apparently means “nearly all of them are involved in sex work, crime” or both. Eleanor Halls of The Telegraph co-signs this statement, saying the writer has “gone full pervert” by trapping all of the female leads in exploitative sex work, leering at them through his camera. Not even Zendaya can save Euphoria Season 3 from descending into “one man’s creepy, sex-obsessed fantasy.” Halls continues:

Alyssa Mora of IGN rates the first three episodes a “Bad” 4 out of 10, saying the characters have been reduced to their most defining traits without the depth that made them interesting in previous seasons. Worse yet, Mora says even with everything this “wannabe crime drama” throws at us, it’s still “kind of boring.” The review reads:

Ben Travers of IndieWire gives it a C-, asking, “How could Euphoria become boring?” One issue, Travers says, is that taking the characters out of the classroom strips them of the relatability that made the drama so frightening. The critic continues:

Alison Herman of Variety is a tad more lenient in her Euphoria review, disagreeing with other critics to say this show could never be boring. It’s still “bombastic, stylish” and full of cutting humor. Unlike the first two, however, Season 3 feels untethered in its first three episodes. Herman writes:

The first third of Euphoria Season 3 has garnered the series just 45% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics noting strange Breaking Bad vibes, characters not acting like themselves and an off-the-rails feeling that it never had in its high school setting.

While Pattinson tried to defend his character from The Batman (which is streaming with an HBO Max subscription), she says simply:

Points were made. Of course, fans who spent years watching the DC movies in order know that Bruce Wayne is a capable hero without powers. What's more, he usually strategizes ways to take down DC heroes in case they turn bad. So maybe the debate is not quite that simple. Although Peter Parker is also a genius who sometimes has technology working on his side.

While Pattinson is originally taken by this argument, he can't betray his character and "strongly agree" with the statement. He joked that he's contractually unable to side with Spider-Man in this debate. And just like that, the DC and Marvel rivalry lives on.

Robert Pattinson made a splash as the title character of Matt Reeves' The Batman, but it's already been years since he's rocked the cowl and cape. What we know about The Batman Part II is super limited, as it's not expected to arrive in theaters until October of 2027. The same can't be said for Zendaya, who will return as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day this summer.

Personally, I'm inclined to agree with Zendaya, as I think that Peter Parker's abilities give him the advantage against Batman. But there are plenty of DC fans who likely would disagree. So just like the two stars of The Drama, coming to an agreement might be easier said than done.

The Drama is in theaters now as part of the 2026 movie release list, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day will follow suit on July 31st. As for The Batman Part II, we shouldn't expect it on the big screen until October 1st, 2027.

The Drama, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattison as an engaged couple dealing with a sudden, very disturbing revelation from Zendaya’s character Emma about her past, courted quite a bit of controversy when it first screened, after bewildering people with the trailer. The revelation that Emma had planned and almost committed a school shooting when she was a teenager really upset people, both in the movie and in the audience. I understand why, but I also don’t think the movie works without the shocking twist.

The Movie Forces Us To Confront Some Unpleasant Realities

As I wrote in my review of The Drama, director Kristoffer Borgli does an excellent job making the audience squirm for most of the film. It’s not something that I’ve experienced in what is ostensibly a rom-com. Using horror movie techniques and the darkest of comedy, we as moviegoers are never comfortable in our seats. This all hinges on the admission that Emma makes when her friends ask her about the worst thing she’s ever done.

The revelation couldn’t be something as simple as cheating on an ex. It couldn’t even be something worse, like locking someone in a closet for hours, as Rachel (Alana Haim) admitted to, or cyberbullying, as Charlie (Pattison) reveals was his worst thing. No, it really had to be something truly shocking and truly horrifying. Without Emma’s admittance, the movie doesn’t pack the same kind of punch. In fact, it doesn’t pack a punch.

The Very Bad Thing Allows For Two Things To Happen

In the movie, Emma’s past deed serves the story incredibly well. It’s something that simply cannot be swept under the rug by Charlie or her friends. Anyone in Charlie’s position would go through what he goes through. It connects with the audience because we all deal with something in our partner’s past that makes us all uncomfortable, but we have to forge ahead if we love them. Yes, this is an extreme example of that, but it’s not like the emotions are unrelatable; they are just incredibly heightened.

The revelation also allows the filmmaker to explore a societal problem on a personal level. Let’s face it, school shootings in the United States are one of the most upsetting and frustrating aspects of life here. Pretending they don’t exist, or failing to confront them, will never solve the problem. It’s not like the issue is handled flippantly in the movie. It’s the darkest and most serious aspect of the film. The movie may be funny at times, but Emma’s past is never funny.

Borgli pulls off an incredible trick in the movie by presenting a shocking twist, but allowing us as the audience to digest it, and in turn, think about it for days after seeing it. I don’t know if The Drama will be an award contender come next winter because of the controversy, but it could be my favorite movie of the year. Though I reserve the right to change my mind with the second 2026 movie starring Pattison and Zendaya, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, hits theaters later this summer.
