Capcom revealed some new screenshots for the upcoming remastered editions of Dead Rising, giving gamers a look at how the first two games will appear on the eighth gen home consoles. If you've already seen Dead Rising on Xbox 360 or Dead Rising 2 on PC then you know what to expect. IGN managed to get their hands on the screenshots, many of which showcase the different elements of both Dead Rising 1 and Dead Rising 2. In one of the shots we see Frank West, photojournalist extraordinaire, ready to wallop a zombie with a giant wrench. He's already covered in blood from having previously taking a swing at the undead walkers. Another screenshot sees West on the Angel Lust concert stage, shredding some tunes on an electric guitar while the screen shakes and vibrates. I'm not entirely sure how to describe the shot where West is decked out in what looks like a kinky sci-fi space suit with an alien head-mask on. Dead Rising have always been known for going a little off the beaten path and adding in some ridiculous elements and costumes to the gameplay. One of the other screenshots features stuntman Chuck Green, surrounded by zombies while wielding a makeshift poleaxe. Green was the main protagonist in Dead Rising 2, taking over for Frank West from the first game. West did manage to make a return in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, a story-oriented DLC expansion that brought the main character back for a bit of extra carnage. Green is also seen in a mall area where he's fighting off approaching zombies using a bloody baseball bat. That screenshot was preceded by one where Green is seen talking with his daughter, presumably telling her that everything is going to be okay. The slideshow of Dead Rising screenshots bounces back and forth between the first and second game. One of the other shots sees Frank West wielding a chainsaw, ready to go to town on the zombies, while two other shots give gamers a look at the cinematics that show West in a helicopter flying over a mall flooded with zombies. The IGN article reveals that Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2:Off the Record will arrive for the Xbox One, PC and PS4 but the Xbox One will receive a triple pack edition containing all three titles. The games are being ported to the consoles and PC by port house QLOC. No release date is given but we can likely expect the remastered games to arrive sometime before Dead Rising 4 launches this fall for Windows 10 and Xbox One.
