Titanfall DLC IMC Rising Launches Today

Respawn Entertainment is releasing the third, and potentially final, map pack for Titanfall today. The IMC Rising Pack provides three more battlefields for your mech and infantry fights.

The first of the maps is "Backwater," set at a hidden bootlegging facility on a distant world. Titans can clash on rice paddies and fields surrounding the facility. The hardpoints are found within the buildings. Pilots can avoid getting caught by enemy Titans by using underground passages or rooftop ziplines.

"Sand Trap" brings the action to a desert world. Pilots can fight for control of an underground bunker and use deep trenches to quickly traverse the map. The sand dunes above, meanwhile, are a perfect place for Titans or snipers to wreak havoc.

The last map of the bunch is "Zone 18." This map is set at a secret base owned by Hammond Robotics. The run-down, overgrown facility on the surface camouflages an advanced robots facility underground.

"Zone 18 is roughly broken into two equal sides divided by a central path," said Respawn's Geoff Smith on the game's website. "This main path has a few alleyways cutting off it which are great for Titans to escape engagements very quickly and provide pilots with fast wall runs across the map. Zone 18 is a fast-paced map that can be overwhelming for pilots who decide to venture onto the rooftops. With minimal cover on the tops of buildings, the underground paths are a better choice, assuming the goal is to stay alive…"

IMC Rising, like the other two map packs, will cost $10 to download. Titanfall players can also buy the $24.99 Season Pass for access to all three. The Season Pass for the PC version is marked down to $19.99 for a limited time.

Respawn Entertainment hasn't announced any other premium DLC for Titanfall beyond the three map packs for the Season Pass. That doesn't necessarily mean that the game won't be getting any other content, though. Respawn's been making free updates to the game since launch. These updates have introduced a Black Market for in-game items and Marked for Death mode, among other things.
