WWE 2K14 DLC Details, Prices Announced

Today 2K confirmed that they're planning several post-launch DLC packs for WWE 2K14. These add-ons will introduce several new superstars and moves to the game.

Two of the DLC packs will be released near the game's launch date. The Accelerator ($1.99) will allow players to unlock all of the in-game items on day one and also adjust the attributes for WWE superstars. The nWo Pack, following sometime in November for $8.99, unlocks the New World Order-themed characters Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Syxx, Curt Hennig, and Scott Steiner. Players will also be able to download the Giant for no charge at this time.

The next group of DLC will arrive in December. Players can spend $7.99 to get the WWE Superstars and Moves Pack. This add-on unlocks Fandango, Big E Langston, the Bella Twins, and 30 new moves and taunts. WWE diva Summer Rae will be offered as a free download.

The third and final DLC batch planned is called the WWE Legends and Creations Pack ($8.99). As the name suggests, it adds four old timers to the game's roster: "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Bruno Sammartino, and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. If you'd rather build your own superstar, you'll have 15 new parts to do so. Virgil, the former bodyguard to Ted DiBiase, is the freebie. This last batch of content should go live in January 2014.

Players will also have the option of purchasing all of WWE 2K14's downloadable content at once with the Season Pass. The Pass, priced at $19.99, is about 25% cheaper than buying all of the content individually. It also unlocks The Outsiders-themed Scott Hall and Kevin Nash and at least 10 exclusive online badges.

WWE 2K14 will debut in North America on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 29th. The international release will occur on November 1st. If you pre-order the game, you'll unlock Ultimate Warrior. The more expensive Phenom Edition of the game will provide access to the "American Badass" incarnation of Undertaker as well as a few other Undertaker-themed extras.
