World Of Warcraft: Warlords Of Draenor's Dungeons Detailed By Blizzard

World of Warcraft's expansion pack Warlords of Draenor will introduce eight dungeons for players to tackle. Today the development team shared details on each along with a few screenshots.

Half of the dungeons are spread between levels 90 and 99. They'll help players on their way to hitting the new cap of 100. You'll probably get very tired of these dungeons if you try to level solely through them, though:

Bloodmaul Slag Mines (Frostfire Ridge, level 90-92): The Bloodmaul ogres are using slaves from across the world to dig for an ancient relic in the caverns of Frostfire Ridge. Players must defeat the ogres and their elementals to prevent them from acquiring it.

Iron Docks (Gorgrond, level 92-94): Garrosh's Iron Horde is building a powerful navy to aid their invasion of Azeroth. However, these warships are vulnerable while still at the port. The players will fight their way through infantry and artillery guarding the port before attacking the ships themselves.

Auchindoun (Talador, level 94-97): Auchindoun is a holy mausoleum belonging to the draenei. You may remember it from older WoW expansion pack The Burning Crusade. In Warlords of Draenor, the mausoleum is under attack by the Burning Legion's servants.

Skyreach (Spires of Arak, level 97-99): High up in the mountains, the bird-like arakkoa are on the verge of a breakthrough. They've reactivated the advanced technology of their forefathers and plan to use its devastating energy against their enemies - including you. Run away from the light and watch out for ledges.

Once you hit level 100, you'll have four more dungeons to choose from. The Normal versions of these dungeons will help you gear up for doing Heroic (i.e. harder) versions of all eight dungeons in Warlords of Draenor:

Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (Shadowmoon Valley, level 100): This dungeon will pit players against one of the most infamous characters from Warcraft lore: Ner'zhul. In the normal storyline of WoW, this orc shaman's spirit merged with Arthas Menethil to become the Lich King. Fortunately, in this dungeon, you get to fight him before he does all that.

The Everbloom (Gorgrond, level 100): The Kirin Tor created a portal between Azeroth and Draenor to assist with the war against the Iron Horde. However, their outpost has been overtaken by dangerous living plants. The players must stop these creatures from using the Kirin Tor's portal to their own ends.

Grimrail Depot (Gorgrond, level 100): The Iron Horde quickly transport troops and equipment throughout Draenor with a massive train known as the Grimrail. Today, though, it has a special kind of cargo: a new type of railgun to lay waste to the city of Shattrath. Player will assault the train to prevent it from reaching its destination.

Upper Blackrock Spire (Blackrock Mountain, level 100): This dungeon is another blast from the past. Upper Blackrock Spire, or "UBRS," is as old as WoW itself. Blizzard has rebuilt it from the ground up for level 100 players. The mountain is now overrun by Iron Horde setting up a doomsday weapon. Players can fight three of the dungeon's five bosses in a special level 90 version of UBRS included with Patch 6.0.

These won't be the only eight dungeons in Warlords of Draenor. Blizzard says that they'll add more over the expansion's lifespan.

"One thing we heard from players during Mists of Pandaria was that they missed having new dungeon content later in the expansion, and our plan is to get back to that and adding new dungeon content beyond the initial expansion release," Blizzard said last fall.
