Atlus and SNK Playmore have announced that King of Fighters XIII, the game that really stole the show at this year's EVO tournament, is finally available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 via digital download, EVO skills not included.
For those of you wondering what this EVO talk is all about, it's an annual tournament featuring the world's top fighting game players, competing for lots of cash in the latest fighting game releases. At this year's tournament the finals for King of Fighters XIII was a goose-bumps inducing affair. In fact, you'll probably want to take a look at the fight finale for yourself to see just how amazing and intense the fight really was.
The game originally released back in 2011 as a retail product to very little fanfare. After a few updates, some tweaks and a stellar showing at EVO, courtesy of the video above, King of Fighters XIII became the hot topic of forum boards and the talk of the town around the niche fighting game circles. It's hard not to praise the game after seeing just how technically affluent it really is and how players can utilize every single technical facet to advantage or a counter-point. That's a rare thing in a fighting game system, which is kind of sad.
