War Thunder Heads Into Open Beta

A new flight simulation MMO from Gajin Entertainment has finally headed into open beta. The name of the game is War Thunder and it focuses on aerial combat for co-op, PvP and PvE missions. The game looks pretty good thanks to a brand new trailer released.

The game boasts more than 200 different plane models, which is massive. There are hundreds of vehicles that can be rendered on screen at once, and there are all kinds of massive battles to engage in while you traverse more than 100,000 square kilometers of battlefield to explore. You can check it out in the trailer below.

Kirill Yudintsev, Creative Director of Gaijin Entertainment had some words to share about the milestone achievement of hitting open beta, saying...

“After four years of working on War Thunder, we’re sincerely happy that we can finally present it to the gaming community all over the world,” “Every stage of the development, and every update, brings us closer to the goal we’ve established for War Thunder: a combat MMO so massive it’s sort of game that, until now, players could only dream about. With all of the new features recently added, we believe that War Thunder will exceed players’ expectations and that aerial combat fans and World War II buffs are in for a real treat.”

If the game looks like your cup of tea feel free to register an account right now, grab the client and start blasting pilots to smithereens and shredding metal in mid-air using your plane of choice.
