Tomb Raider Half Off On PSN Through The Weekend

Lara Croft’s latest adventure, which also happens to be her first official story, is cheaper than ever this week on the PlayStation Network, going for 50 percent off for the next three days as part of a special “Flash Sale” on the digital download.

The newest Tomb Raider game won over more than a few critics, being praised for its beautiful visuals, intense action and loving treatment of one of the best-known heroes in video game history. Featuring open environments, plenty of tombs to raid, an engrossing story and more than a few animals to kill, the latest Tomb Raider shaped up to be everything series fans were hoping for, and more.

It’s awesome, then, that Sony will be offering Tomb Raider for 50 percent off through the weekend, going for just $29.99 between now and noon on Monday. The digital edition of the game includes the full single player campaign, a three-pack bundle of the weapons used by Agent 47 in Hitman: Absolution, the Shanty Town multiplayer map, a special outfit pack and a free copy of the downloadable puzzle game, Quantum Conundrum. All of that, for 30 bucks, is kind of a steal.

While no single player DLC is planned for Tomb Raider, fans have already had their first taste of the multiplayer DLC, with more maps and modes expected in the coming months.

If you’ve been waiting for a price point sweet spot to pick up Tomb Raider, or perhaps you just needed that extra nudge to dive into Lara Croft’s latest adventure, I imagine half off on a practically brand new game should be able to do the trick. You can order it online now, or grab it from the PlayStation Store sometime over the weekend.
