Here's What That Leaked Alan Wake Trademark Was Actually For
Not long ago, Cinema Blend did a story on a supposed leak of a new Alan Wake game called Alan Wake’s Return. The leak was part of a trademark that was registered by the game’s developer. Well recently, we learned what that “leak” actually was a leak for, and it wasn’t a new Alan Wake game...sadly.
The trademark that was registered is actually for a live-action Alan Wake TV series that is supposed to take place in the upcoming Xbox One exclusive game, Quantum Break. Bummer, right? That means unless you have an Xbox One or Microsoft Windows 10, you won’t be setting your eyes on the Alan Wake content.
The information comes from Kotaku UK where they spoke with Remedy’s Creative Director Sam Lake, who said,
While I am palpably upset about the fact that a new Alan Wake game isn’t in development, it doesn’t mean the idea is gone forever, because Lake also told Kotaku UK,
I’m sure I’m not the only fan, though, who was bummed to find out that there wasn’t a new Alan Wake game in development, but I’m glad Sam Lake didn’t completely shut down the idea. Maybe there is some sort of hope after all.
