Watch This Real-Life Hitman Experience Put On By Square Enix

Square Enix, IO Interactive and production company Realm Pictures put together a live-action experience involving Agent 47 from the Hitman series and a handful of YouTubers to work as his handler. The results is a lot more intense and gratifying than you may have been expecting.

Square sent out a press notice about the video, which is up and available for viewing over on the Realm Pictures YouTube channel. The event consists of various playthroughs featuring YouTubers AliA, NukemDukem, SUP3R KONAR and Pietsmiet. Oh and there's a special guest, Jane Perry, the voice actress who plays Agent 47's handler, Diana Burnwood, in Hitman. Check it out below.

Each scenario starts off with Agent 47 outside of a mansion where the handlers have to direct him on where to go and what to do and who to kill. The objective is for 47 to take out a Serbian arms dealer who is having a meeting in the house.

Some of the YouTubers did okay in directing around Agent 47, but a few of them let the apex killer end up in some hairy situations with some rather dire results. Out of them all, Jane Perry, who voices Diana in the games, probably did the best job in not only keeping Agent 47 alive and rather stealthy in his antics, but also managed to keep the body count low. It's a nice little look at the possibilities that could be present in the upcoming reboot of Hitman.

If the whole setup of the video above has you stumped on how they pulled off some of the effects, Realm Pictures did a behind-the-scenes video showcasing how they utilized the mansion, actors and special effects to make a real life version of Hitman. Check it out below.

Realm Pictures did an impeccable job with the props and the scene setup. They even used David Bateson the actual voice of Agent 47 from the Hitman games to talk over the actor who is playing Agent 47 in the scenario. The audio setup, the video setup and the mixing involved is just crazy. It's about as complex as you would have expected for them to pull the whole thing off.

I was actually surprised at how good it all looked in the final thing and it was a heck of a lot more intense than both the live-action Hitman movies that the major Hollywood studios released.

The reboot of Hitman goes live on March 11th for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The game will be released throughout 2016 in episodes, and gamers can either purchase each episode individually or they can buy the whole thing upfront by putting down $60 for it. The live-action promo is a neat way to remind people that the game is on the way.
