Very little information has been revealed about BioShock 2 so far but now we've got our first look at one of the game's enemies. The cover of the upcoming Game Informer issue features a Big Sister, a female counterpart to the armor-clad Big Daddies from the first game.
The Big Sister has a Little Sister on its back in a circular basket so presumably they'll occupy the same role as the big Daddies: you'll have to kill them to drain EVE from the Little Sisters. The Big Sis is skinner and probably faster than a Big Daddy. She seems to be sporting some kind of pole (or gun barrel) on her arm, too. There's hopefully more to them than those superficial observations but we don't know any details yet.
The Game Informer April issue is said to have a 10-page preview of the game which should give us some answers. Word on the street is that we'll hear more about the game at this year's Game Developers Conference at the end of the month, too. I'm wondering why these Big Sisters aren't called Big Mommas - is it to avoid making the gamer think about Martin Lawrence?
BioShock 2 is due by the end of 2009. It was thought to be a PS3, Xbox 360, and PC release but that's still up in the air.
