Next week, heavy metal adventure Brutal Legend will receive its first downloadable content. The "Tears of the Hextadon" map pack will hit Xbox Live on November 3rd and PSN on November 5th.

"Hextadon" adds two new maps, Circle of Tears and Death's Fjord, for the multiplayer Stage Battles. The pack will cost 400 Microsoft Points ($5) on Xbox Live upon launch. However, on PSN, this new content will actually be free until November 19th. After that, it will be the same price as it is on Xbox Live.

In addition to extending Brutal's replay value, the map pack have another benefit: free loot. Downloading the new map will get you a free axe, called the Blade of Ormagöden. Sounds swank.

Brutal Legend was released on October 13th. You can read Blend Games' review for more information.
