The game isn’t even out yet and it’s already topping charts and making waves. Three consecutive weeks in a row, Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has topped the Steam charts, making the top 10 list with just pre-orders alone.

The game has been making it on the top 10 with at least two or more consecutive listings since early September. According to Blues the game has now consistently been listed on Steam’s top 10 for three straight weeks. And with the exception of the September 25th Steam listings, Modern Warfare 3 appeared on Steam’s top 10 for a previous consecutive three weeks in a row. As the game builds up to its release just about anyone can expect to see Modern Warfare 3 continue to top the charts all the way through to the holidays.

According to the BF3 Blog (of all places) Modern Warfare 3 is expected to sell more than 20 million copies this year alone and it definitely seems to be heading in the right direction by staying within the Steam top 10 list just about every week on end.

Infinity Ward has also stated that they want to win back the support of PC gamers by bringing back dedicated server support. However, there’s still no mod support, which was taken out after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Electronic Arts doesn't think the trend will last, though, and they believe all this chart topping will fade and Call of Duty will die in two or three years.

Nevertheless, you can look for Modern Warfare 3 to hit retail and digital distribution shelves for $59.99 starting November 8th for major gaming platforms. You can learn more about the game or get in a pre-order by visiting the Official Website.
