Eleven more screenshots for Castlevania's next-gen reboot were sent out today by Konami. The shots show lycanthropes, balance beams and the subtle art of soul-ripping.
Like the protagonists of many other Castlevania games, Shadow's Gabriel Belmont wields a whip. It's also used for platforming; in one shot he's using it to swing across a chasm. In another picture, Gabriel is studying an electric device with colored orbs - a hint at the game's puzzle elements. The combination of combat, platforming, and puzzles should lead to an excessive amount of God of War comparisons.
Shadow is being developed by MercurySteam and Kojima Productions. It's scheduled for a 2010 release on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
