Subscribe To Dawn Of War 2 Announced Updates
It's official: Relic has revealed they're working on Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, the sequel to their 2004 real-time strategy game. In addition, they've launched the official website which a few new screenshots and a teaser trailer to chew over.

Dawn of War II will use Essence Engine 2.0, an enhanced version of the engine that powers the WW2 RTS Company of Heroes, also by Relic. In addition to the normal competitive multiplayer action, the game will also feature a full coop campaign.

Publisher THQ also announced that if you buy Soulstorm, the third expansion to the original Dawn of War, you'll receive an invite to the Dawn of War II multiplayer beta whenever that goes down. It's the second time this promotional tactic has been used recently for an RTS; EA recently announced it was giving out beta keys for Red Alert 3 to people who buy the Red Alert 2: Kane's Wrath. Gearing up for a sales war, maybe?
