Jack Tretton referenced an announcement for a new PS3 game in the oddest way imaginable: by almost not mentioning it at all. Between showcasing a whole bunch of games that would be available on the PlayStation 3 and the Assassin’s Creed 2 live demonstration, Tretton quickly made mention that Rockstar North was working on an exclusive PS3 title.

All right, the name of the game is called Agent. In the game players will venture about the world getting involved in conspiracies and secret agent dealings. What’s more is that the tech and settings will revolve around the era of the late1970’s (yeah, I guess that means the 60’s miniskirts and flower-shirts are old news).

Anyway, other than the fact that the game is being mirrored for mainstream recognition (not appeal) and is set to strike a chord in the world of gaming in the same way that Grand Theft Auto 3 did for the PlayStation 2 is definitely a promising sign.

Now I’ve got to quickly wrap this up so we can get back to bringing you live gaming updates from E3 coverage. Be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further updates on Agent.
