Usually, Smackdown Vs Raw, the yearly video game iteration of WWE professional wrestling, is announced early in the year and showcased like heck at E3. This time, however, THQ has waited until E3 to announce and unveil the next installment of the Smackdown Vs. Raw series

“John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio are incredible WWE Superstars who represent the athleticism, creativity, individuality and strength of today’s live WWE programming,” said Brian Coleman, vice president, global brand management, THQ. “These powerful traits symbolize our vision to give players extensive creative freedom and make WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 the most authentic, entertaining and compelling simulation of live WWE programming to date.”

Unfortunately, all that happened at this year’s E3 is that SD Vs. Raw 2010 was unveiled. Information regarding the actual game was kept completely under wraps for now. Even more-so, the only thing that was said was that the game would offer more freedom in a Smackdown Vs Raw title than ever before. More details for the game will be on the way during the WWE pay-per-view, SummerSlam on Auguest 23rd.
