EA confirmed today that they are creating a sequel to Wii fitness game EA Sports Active. However, it'll appear on multiplatforms.

EA Sports Active 2.0 (working title) will be released this fall for the PS3, Wii, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Like the first game, Active 2.0 will feature leg straps with motion sensors. However, it also adds arm straps and a heart rate monitor into the mix as well. A new online hub will allow you to view and share your training data.

The sequel brings new workout programs as well. Add-on programs will be available (presumably as DLC) to allow you to inject a little variety into your workouts.
