The Xbox 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas received its first patch today. The PC version, meanwhile, got its second update.

The Xbox 360 update was released overnight. Like the first PC patch, it fixes a number of quest and scripting issues. Bethesda hasn't release full patch notes so there's no way of telling whether it fixed your particular issue. You'll just have to boot up* the game and see for yourself.

The second PC patch is available through Steam. It fixes issues related to autosaving and quicksaves. Senior producer Jason Bergman explained the patch on the Bethesda >forums: "That particular issue was never seen prior to release and it was extremely difficult to reproduce reliably, even after the game had launched. In order to fix this problem we have had to disable Steam Cloud functionality. It has been turned off, and we won’t turn it back on until we’re absolutely sure it will not cause any more problems."

No additional details were provided about the forthcoming PS3 patch. It's possible they're waiting on Sony to certify it.
