The fifth and final wing of Hearthstone: Blackrock Mountain will debut today on all platforms. The wing, entitled Hidden Laboratory, provides four more boss fights for players to tackle.
If you played the World of Warcraft raid Blackwing Descent, the new bosses will be very familiar to you. Presumably they called the wing Hidden Laboratory instead so it doesn't sound too similar to previous wing Blackwing Lair.
Here's a run-down of the new bosses included in the final wing of this single-player expansion:
Omnotron Defense System
Hero Power: Activate! (4 mana) - Activate a random Tron minion, each with different abilities.
Hero Power: The Alchemist (passive) - Whenever a minion is summoned, swap its Attack and Health.
Reward: Blackwing Corruptor (5/4 minion, 5 mana) - Battlecry: If you're holding a Dragon, deal 3 damage.
Hero Power: Echolocate (1 mana) - Equip a weapon that grows as your opponent plays cards.
Reward: Drakonid Crusher (6/6 minion, 6 mana) - Battlecry: If your opponent has 15 or less Health, gain +3/+3.
Hero Power: Nefarian Strikes! (0 mana) - Nefarian rains fire from above!; Bone Minions (2 mana) - Summons two 2/1 Bone Constructs.
Reward: Dragonkin Sorcerer: Whenever you target this minion with a spell, gain +1/+1.
Once you've beaten all four bosses once, you'll also earn the Legendary minion Nefarian for your collection. He's an 8/8 minion that costs 9 mana. When spawned, he adds two random spells to your hand from your opponent's class.
New challenges will be unlocked once you've completed the wing for the first time. The new Class Challenge will test your skills as a Paladin. By defeating Omnotron Defense System with a specific Paladin deck, you'll unlock the Solemn Vigil card for that class. Solemn Vigil is a 5-mana spell lets you draw two cards. It costs one less mana for each minion that died in the current turn.
Clearing the wing on Normal difficulty also unlocks Heroic mode. The Heroic versions of each boss have enhanced abilities and health along with new decks. By completing every boss in Blackrock Mountain on Heroic mode, you'll earn this Nefarian-inspired card back:
Hearthstone: Blackrock Mountain costs $25 to download. You can also buy individual wings for $7 or 700 gold apiece. Once you've purchased the expansion once, it will be unlocked across PC, Mac, smartphones and tablets on your account.
