A new developer documentary was released for Just Cause 2, featuring the extensive in-game playground known as Panau. Much like the first game, the sequel is simply beautiful with its dynamic scope on a variety of traversable environments, including snowy peaks, tropical beaches and crowded urban jungles.
Much of the island has been showcased in many of the trailers, including the deserts, riverbeds and mountains, but the one thing we have yet to see are the city environments. In the last game the cities were sort of big but somewhat dull and lifeless. Hopefully they put a little bit more “umph” into the whole concrete jungle to keep that aspect of the game fun.
The vehicle physics also look to be improved as the team showed off more ways to interact with the environment and more vehicles in which to do so. Boats appear to be faster and certain cars seem to be designed to catch major air time. You won’t find any complaints about those features here.
You can check out the new video documentary below and look for the game to hit store shelves in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more gaming news, updates, info and insight, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.
