Activision actually happens to publish more than just Tony Hawk, Call of Duty and Transformers games…they also manage to make games for handheld systems that would make a core gamer retch. The mega-mammoth publisher announced that Kung Zhu, based on the popular toys, will be arriving this fall for the Nintendo DS.

David Oxford at Activision threw out a few words in the press release, saying…
“Kung ZhuTM is packed with pets that are cute but become ultra-cool and tough, so it’s a lot of fun seeing that transformation in a videogame,”

The game itself sees players taking the hamsters under their wing, training them in the forbidden arts of ninjitsu, shoken-ra and other martial arts that most people can’t even pronounce. After giving the hamster a good dose of Jean-Claude Van Damme-esque training sequences, you’ll then take them into more than 35 levels as they battle other kung-fu trained pets. The real question, however, is if your kung-fu is good enough?
