Marc Ecko Entertainment today announced a partnership with Showtime Networks that will see the release of a video game based on the hit television series Dexter. Both companies are in talks with developers to bring the game to life. After seeing what they did with Alvin and the Chipmunks and Jumper, let’s hope that Brash doesn’t get on board to ruin the most delightfully deadly character in entertainment.

If you haven’t caught the show yet, Dexter follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter expert in Miami who is a serial killer dispatching those who escape justice. So you see he’s not such a bad guy.

Dexter is one of the most popular shows on Showtime with a particularly strong fan base among gamers,” said Len Fogge, Executive VP, Marketing, Digital Media and Research at Showtime. "We’re confident Marc Ecko Entertainment’s team has the unique talents to take Dexter to the interactive space in the right way.”

The Dexter video game is currently in preproduction and we have absolutely no information on what the game will actually be yet.
