In an extremely surprising news-twist, the upcoming Twilight-inspired MMO by IGG actually has more to it than meets the emo-fan. In a press release sent out today, the company detailed some of the game’s mechanics, specifically the dungeon-running, platform-hopping, trap-door dodging acrobatics in the game. Surprised a tweeny-vampire MMORPG even has a feature like this? Well, so am I.

According to the press release…
If you find you are trapped in a narrow tunnel with deadly spiked floors, you can overcome the challenge by accelerating and executing rapid, powerful jumps from side to side along the walls. Are you trying to track down an elusive beast during a nocturnal hunt? Pursue it with ease by bounding from rooftop to rooftop through the city. If you want to gather the rare herbs growing on the most precarious of vertical cliffs, a few fluid leaps between the sparse branches on the cliff side are all it takes.

Sounds like Gunz: The Duel or S4 League. Anyway, I’m not actually kind of excited about Moonlight Online because at first I thought it was just another casual cash-in on the Twilight phase, but it could actually be an awesome gaming follow-up to hardcore action flicks like Blade or Underworld featuring the whole Lycan versus vampire thing.

Moonlight Online will be using the latest in 3D tech and will feature state-of-the-art gameplay for an MMO. For more information on the game be sure to visit the Official Website.
