Today Electronic Arts released a few new screenshots and pieces of concept art for their upcoming Wii survival horror game Dead Space: Extraction. They demonstrate one upside to the game's first-person perspective: your view won't be obscured by Isaac Clarke's fat ass anymore.

Note there's two crosshairs in one of those screenshots - the game has two-player co-op if you were unaware. Compliments about Wii screenshots tend to be sort of backhanded - for example, "they look pretty good for a Wii game". I have to say that Extraction's graphics are pretty sharp. Even if it's not as glossy as the original PS3/Xbox 360/PC game, the art style's at least consistent between the two games. The typical concern that a game's been "kiddied up" for the Wii is unfounded here.

Dead Space: Extraction will be released exclusively for the Wii in Fall 2009. If still pictures don't move your needle, you can check out the debut trailer here.
