Online shooter PAYDAY: The Heist will not be released tomorrow. Sony Online Entertainment has announced that they're pushing the PS3/PC game's launch back to later this month.

"This delay is a move to ensure players and fans of our promise and vision to produce high-caliber games that deliver the best quality game experience," reads a statement from SOE. "Players who pre-ordered PAYDAY: The Heist will receive the game at launch, and those who purchased the four other PSN titles as part of the PlayStation Network PLAY program will also be awarded PAYDAY: The Heist when it launches later this month, according to the terms of that program."

In PAYDAY, up to four players team up to pull off daring heists. One mission tasks them with hijacking an armored car while another centers around a bank robbery. You must bypass security, take hostages, and fight off A.I. law enforcement. Players can choose from three different classes (assault, sharpshooter, and support) which have their own unique weapons and equipment. Silenced pistols, trip mines, and assault rifles are some of the weapons you'll be armed with.

You'll need to work together to pull off each heist. Teammates are able to share ammo and med kits. They can also heal each other. If a member of your team is downed by lawmen, you can trade a hostage to get him back.

No new release date was issued for PAYDAY. That's not a very promising sign. Looks like we may have to wait until the very end of the month to get our hands on this game.
