Well, better later than never. Today BioWare revealed the PS3 release date for Return to Ostagar, a downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins.

"Return to Ostagar for the PlayStation 3 has passed certification and will be released on March 11, 2010," wrote BioWare's Victor Wachter on the DA:O forum. "We will also be releasing an update for the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon Age a week ahead of time on March 4, 2010. We'll release the contents of this update once we have the final list of changes."

Ostagar was released for the Xbox 360 and PC at the end of January. The $5 DLC tasks players with returning to the famed battleground of Ostagar. Along the way you'll pick new items, including a set of very swank armor.

March 11th is basically the last possible date that BioWare could release Ostagar. A full-fledged expansion, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening, will arrive on all three platforms on March 16th. Downloadable quests and items from DA:O cannot be accessed in Awakening so releasing Ostagar after the expansion hit would've been pointless.
