While 2009 holds a lot of promising releases, you might have to cross Final Fantasy XIII off that list. The game apparently won't make it to North America and Europe until 2010.

According to Reuters, Square Enix President Yoichi Wada stated that the latest installment of the fantasy RPG series won't be released outside of Japan until April 2010 or later. The Japanese release is still slated for 2009, though it's possible it's been pushed back into later in the year.

No reason was given for this delay. The game will be released on PS3/Xbox 360 in Europe and North America but only PS3 in Japan.
