Southpeak Interactive is working on a new first-person shooter called Section 8. The good part is that the game looks like a spin-off of Halo and Crysis fused together. The bad part is that console gamers won’t be getting their hands on it. The other good part, though, is that we at least have some new screenshots and artwork of the game.

Like Crysis, Section 8 will only be available for PC. I’m not sure why console gamers won’t be receiving this title, but it does look awfully awesome. Back when GameCock was publishing this title it was considered a cross-platform FPS. After SPI bought out GameCock, Section 8 is now considered PC only. So maybe Southpeak Interactive couldn’t afford to publish it across the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Anyway, the game features on-foot FPS action and vehicular combat on both ground and in the air. Players will go around in their powered-armor suits and use squad-tactics to take down enemy forces. Honestly, I almost can’t wait to play this game.

You can check out the new screenshots below, and you can visit the Official SouthPeak Interactive Website for more info about Section 8. For all your other gaming news, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.

Update: PR contacted us and confirmed that the game is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 as well as for PC.
