The game that helped define the era of the PlayStation back in the late 90's is finally coming to an end. I can’t say I’m sad...the games were always mediocre, yet enjoyable. In his final outing, Spyro is going for the big guns, and bringing a load of Hollywood voice talent him.
“This year is Spyro’s 10th anniversary and players are definitely going to see noticeable advances in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon on the next-gen machines,” said David Pokress, vice president, global brand management of Activision Publishing. “This latest chapter in the Spyro franchise introduces fun new faces and entertaining game elements like flying at any time and drop-in/drop-out co-op, with both Spyro and Cynder.”
The game features Hollywood voice acting from [has-been] legends such as Mark Hamill, the wanna-be Wayne Brady, as well as the likes of Gary Oldman, Christina Ricci, Blair Underwood, and the hobbit-made-famous, Elijah Wood. The game is shipping to North American retailers, and will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii and Nintendo DS. For more information on the game you can visit the Official Spyro The Dragon Website.
