That’s right, you heard it here first folks. Zootfly’s CEO, Bostjan Troha, has confirmed that there is, indeed, a Ghostbusters game in development for the Xbox 360. However, there is a bit of a downside to this news as well, given that development on the project has come to a halt.

You may have read Cinema Blend’s article regarding the veracity of a new Ghostbusters game in development. It is, in fact, not a mod of Half-Life 2. I recently tossed some questions to the CEO of Zootfly, Bostjan Troha, regarding the new Ghostbusters game and he did verify that it is in development, saying that “We are very glad to see the overwhelming response to the Ghostbusters prototype movies. What you've seen is indeed in-game footage of early prototypes on the Xbox 360, running on ZootFly's proprietary engine.”

Does this mean we could be seeing everything that could have been in Hollow make an appearance in Ghostbusters 360? I’m quite doubtful of that. But right now Zootfly is busy trying to straighten out a little IP err that has literally brought the game’s production down to a halt. But no worries, the game is planned to get back on track, and Bostjan did confirm that...“As soon as the Ghostbusters IP issue is resolved, the whole team will go back to Ghostbusters.”

I think I speak for everyone when I say, BOOYA! Now if only the game has some four-player multiplayer coop action and the return of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, and Zootfly just might blow Halo 3 clean out of the water. ;)
