Everyone was asking about the 8-bit Bionic Commando classic despite Capcom’s effort to divert attention toward the revitalized 3D version of the game. Nevertheless, to assuage the comforts of those stuck on nostalgia-lane, Capcom also re-invented the 8-bit classic with HD content for XBLA. The company is now announcing that the Live Arcade title is now half-off…presumably due to the poor reception of the revitalized 3D version of the game.

According to the press release, “Bionic Commando: Rearmed is a reworking of the classic 8-bit title, Bionic Commando, which originally released 20 years ago on the NES. BCR brings intense side-scrolling shooting and grappling action up-to-date with stunning new HD visuals, weapons and bionic arm functionality.”

Bionic Commando: Rearmed also allows for 2-player co-op play, Challenge modes and the option to unlock items for use in the 3D version of Bionic Commando. With all that said, this XBLA title is now only 400 MS Points. Nice.
