Arc Systems and Aksys Games have released the launch trailer for the newly available 2D, high-definition fighting game, BlazBlue. After taking the Japanese arcades by storm the melee fighting game with next-generation 3D backgrounds and intense special attacks is finally available for North American gamers.

Featuring a small cast of odd, strange and weird characters, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a lot like Guilty Gear (which also happens to be by Arc Systems). The game has a heavy focus on over-the-top special attacks that are a visual feast for the eyes and a rocking soundtrack to accompany the on-screen carnage.

Exclusive to North America is the limited edition that comes with the game’s original soundtrack and a few other goodies. The launch trailer lays down the details for this game with a lot of lengthy fighting scenes, character profiling and a look at some of the stages featured in the game. You can check it out below or look for the game at local retailers. For more gaming news, info, insight and updates, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.
