The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, the “gothic-noir steampunk action RPG” from NeocoreGames, is set for a lat May launch and, starting today, you can pre-order the game and get in on the ongoing closed beta immediately.

If you've played games like Diablo or Torchlight, then you have the basic idea of what to expect out of Van Helsing. Viewed from above, the player guides Van Helsing across vast landscapes in order to battle monsters, grab loot and explore dungeons. For an even better idea of what I'm talking about, you can check out one of the game's many trailers here, here or here.

Set to release for PC in May for $14.99, those willing to pony up the cash nice and early will be given immediate access into the closed beta to take their upcoming game for a test drive.

Inspired by Bram Stoker's infamour vampire novel, the player takes on the role of the legendary Abraham Van Helsing's son. You're called away to Borgovia, where hordes of supernatural monsters are running amok. In order to get to the bottom of the situation, you'll need to journey through city streets, haunted countrysides and deep catacombs, slaying werewolves, vampires and alike along the way.

While the game can be pre-ordered for 15 bucks at the Van Helsing website, additional support tiers are available for those willing to pay a little, or a hell of a lot more. If you pay $25 for the game, for instance, you'll also get a unique multiplayer skin. At $50 you'll receive everything from the earlier tiers, as well as a “Treasure Hunters” perk unlock. If, however, you feel like dropping $1,000 on the game, the developers will put a portrait of your mug in the game's Hunter's Lair.
