I’m not sure if Sega is making all the best decisions when it comes to movie tie-in games. I’m still on the fence about whether or not it’s a good thing that they’re publishing the Captain America title after the butcher-job that was Iron Man: The Video Game. Still, the new Thor movie looks awesome and like all awesome movies based on licensed property, there’s a tie-in game and Sega has decided to use the lead actor from the movie to provide the voice for the in-game character.

Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA of America commented in the press release about Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston voicing their respective 3D thespians in the game, saying…
“Bringing in Chris and Tom to star in Thor: God of Thunder gives us AAA talent that will create a truly cinematic interactive experience,” …“Mighty Thor and the trickster Loki will face off with real emotion while giving fans visual and vocal continuity between the video game and film adaptations of the Marvel franchise.”

Well they’re right about the triple A talent, I’m just not so sure it’ll be put to use in a triple A game. Anyway, Thor: God of Thunder is set for release during the summer of 2011. You can visit the Official Website to learn more about the game.
