This is it folks, tomorrow is the big day and EA's revitalized vision of Maxis' SimCity will launch on March 5th in North America, complete with it's always-on DRM. To celebrate the game's milestone achievement, EA unleashed a snazzy new trailer for the city building simulator entitled “City on the Brink”.

The new trailer doesn't show you anything you haven't already seen a hundred times before, but it does reinforce the enthusiasm many fans have had for this reboot of the popular city-building sim. You can check it out below, as it's short and sweet and clocks in at just under a minute, featuring burning buildings, city infrastructure escalation and topographical layout planning.

This is one of those games where it will probably tear and segment the gaming community apart. On the one end SimCity looks like a blast to play and has an amazing aesthetic. However, on the other end of the spectrum there's this whole always-on DRM issue and it really does make you question how well this will play out for gamers who have spotty connections.

Nevertheless, SimCity launches tomorrow and if you don't mind feeding the Origin machine (and if you read that really fast it kind of reads like an “orgy machine” but I digress) you can learn more by paying a visit to the Official Website.
