For $15 You Can See Anchorman 2 As Many Times As You Want In Theaters

The legendary Ron Burgundy inspires an intense fandom. One that revels over his one-liners, rush to his midnight premiere, clamors for apparel baring his monumental mustache, and hungers for a taste of his Scotchy Scotch Scotch. If you count yourself as a fan who cannot get enough of Ron Burgundy, then Alamo Drafthouse has got just the ticket for you. Literally.

Alamo Drafthouse and Paramount Pictures have joined forces to unleash a special edition movie pass called the Anchorfan Pass that will entitle holders to unlimited screenings of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues for a one-time fee of $15. The pass is valid for the day of purchase, and any Anchorman 2 showing in the coming year at a variety of Alamo locations, including Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas in Austin, Texas; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Houston, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Winchester, VA; Kansas City, Missouri; Denver, Colorado; Ashburn, VA; Yonkers, New York and New Braunfels, Texas.

While most moviegoers might not consider seeing a film - even one they liked a lot - more than once in theaters, I'm with Paramount and Alamo in assuming Anchorman fans are of a different breed. Hell, it's been nine years since the first film and its quotes are still popping up in our daily conversations. ("60% of the time it works every time!") Aside from suspecting its sequel has this same kind of staying power, I can say I totally see the appeal of seeing Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues again and again.

For one thing, it's a great movie to see with a group of friends, full of WTF moments and cameos. Plus, with nine years to craft this follow-up to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay had plenty of time to layer Anchorman 2 with visual gags and witty one-liners, clearly meant to reward rewatching. Lastly, if the audience you see (or have seen) it with is anything like mine, you're definitely going to miss some of what was said because little can be heard over the uproarious laughter that the comedy quartet that is Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner bring out of moviegoers!

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is now in theaters.
