With a 2010 release date looming large, the new Green Lantern movie is searching hard for a leading man to take on the iconic comic character. Sorry, make that leading boy. Nothing against 19-year-old Anton Yelchin, who looks quite charming at Chekov in Star Trek, but as lead candidate to play Hal Jordan, he really doesn't seem to fit the bill.

Latino Review is floating the rumor of his casting, saying the producers are skewing younger and younger with the casting. They previously offered the role to Ryan Gosling and he passed, but apparently they want him so badly they might come crawling back again. Is Gosling the only person who can save us from seeing this doofy looking kid get his own franchise?
