Bubba Smith, the man who played badass man-mountain Hightower in the long-running 80s franchise Police Academy has hinted that a new movie may be in the works to begin production later this year...

He claims most of the original cast are up for returning, including Steve Guttenberg, but seeing as absolutely non of them has had a decent career since a year starting "198..." then it's hardly surprising.

Smith hinted that some characters may return with their kids now joining the force.

The last outing for the gang was 1994's Mission To Moscow. It was a critical and box office flop making just over $100,000 and featuring scant few of the original cast. David Graf, who played Tackleberry died of heart failure in 2001.
