Everyone still seems to be running around attempting to figure out whether or not Christopher Nolan will even be involved in directing it, but rumors are starting to surface which indicate that the sequel to The Dark Knight is already gearing up for pre-production in Chicago. In fact, according to Batman-On-Film they could be ready to go by February of 2009.

Right now this is all based on rumor and last we heard they didn’t have a script, a director, or anything. It’s not hard to believe though, that Warner Bros. would be eager to get Batman 3 moving, and could already be laying the groundwork to make it happen as fast as possible, once they get all their ducks in a row. That could be what’s happening here. Batman-On-Film’s sources seem primarily to be Dark Knight crew members, whom WB may be locking up to be there whenever they finally need them.
