George Miller's Happy Feet 2 recently suffered a major setback with Brittany Murphy, one of the lead voices from the first film, died unexpectedly in December. There's still been no announcement as to who might replace Murphy for the second film, but according to Movieline, two other new voices have been added to the cast.

They've heard that Brad Pitt and Matt Damon will be lending their voices to the film, and in fact have been recording their bits this week. The film isn't set for release until November of 2011, but presumably the characters will be animated based on their performances. Given that both actors have kids, the move to animation makes sense-- Angelina Jolie, after all, already lent her voice to Kung Fu Panda so her kids would have something of hers they could watch. Pitt and Damon haven't been onscreen together since Ocean's Thirteen, so I guess we can count this as a reunion.
