Amid all the Marvel superhero movies going into production right now, the biggest mystery is Captain America, a movie that has been greenlit and assigned a director (Wolfman's Joe Johnston), but still doesn't have a leading man-- at least, one who's been announced.

That's probably about to change, though. Fangoria (via Coming Soon) interviewed Johnston about the film, and described Johnston as "speaking from the art department of The First Avenger: Captain America, which he's readying for a June start."

The movie is set for a July 22, 2011 release date, which means they'll have to make very, very quick work to get it finished in time. If they're keeping the same release date-- and remember, this has been set as part of a ton of Marvel films that will culminate in The Avengers-- then they'll have to start working quickly in the new year to get cast and crew put together. And that means we'll probably know shortly which hot young actor-- Bradley Cooper? Will Smith? Joseph Gordon-Levitt?-- will put on Cap's helmet. Begin your guessing now.
