Sam Raimi’s Darkman Getting Awesome Collector’s Edition Blu-ray
While Sam Raimi isn’t necessarily a director with whom "underrated" is synonymous, his 1990 darkly comedic crime noir Darkman is less of a blip in his career than For the Love of the Game, largely because its stars -- Liam Neeson and Frances McDormand -- weren’t yet the marquee names they would become, and the admittedly strange (especially for ’90) film came between the cult phenoms Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. It should have originally come packed in a white flag, giving up right out the fiery gate. But now Scream Factory is giving the film its due diligence with a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray that has tons of features included.

The set is getting a release on February 18, and there’s another super special extra you can get. If you go to the ScreamFactory website to preorder the disc, you’ll get an exclusive 18"x24" poster featuring the commissioned artwork on the cover. But supplies are limited, just like the number of minutes that Dr. Peyton Westlake’s skin lasts before disintegrating.
