One of the biggest hits of this year's Toronto International Film Festival was John Cameron Mitchell's Rabbit Hole, starring Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart and Diane Weist. Based on the award winning play by David Lindsay-Abaire, plenty of praise has been heaped upon both the quality of the adaptation and Kidman's performance. Now the first trailer has come online.

Hosted by Apple, the tone is pretty much what you'd expect from a film about parents who have lost their young son in an accident. There seems to be a lot of standing and staring involved, but I'm not really sure I would act any differently if I lost a child. Throw in the song "The High Road" by Broken Bells and you have a pretty powerful trailer on your hands and a film that is likely aiming directing at the Oscar race.

Check out the trailer below or in HD over at Apple.
