We're in another one of those terrible situations in which, for whatever reason, the yahoos at E! have gotten the first footage of a highly anticipated new film, and have opted to gab over the whole thing. So if you want to see the first shots of Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke and Kellan Lutz in Tarsem Singh's Immortals, you're gonna have to watch it through the inane yammering of an E! host. The visuals look pretty good-- this is all coming from the director of The Fall, after all-- so it's probably worth it.

The shrirtlessness and sepia tones of the footage give it all a very 300 vibe, but Immortals is going to be a lot more supernatural if you couldn't guess from the title. At one point called War of the Gods, a title I'm guessing was far too similar to Clash of the Titans, Immortals stars Cavill as a mortal, Theseus, who is chosen by the gods to fight a battle against a corrupt king. We got some high-res images from the movie two months ago if you want a better look; take a look at those in the meantime, and hope that a clean version of the trailer, minus all the E! chatter, will pop up online soon. Immortals is set to hit theaters on November 11.
