Even a disaster like Jonah Hex hasn't been enough to stop Josh Brolin, who got his career on a roll with No Country for Old Men back in 2007 and hasn't slowed down yet; in the second half of this year alone he's starring in Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2, and teaming back up with the Coens for True Grit. Now you may be able to add two more Oscar winners, and one nominee, to that list of known Brolin associates.

According to Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman, who is frequently right about these things, Brolin is considering a lead role in Young Adult, the project that will reunite Juno writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman with Charlize Theron starring. Theron will play an author of young adult novels who suffers a divorce and returns to her hometown to stalk her old high school boyfriend, who is now married with kids. It's much more of a comedy that what we've seen either Theron or Brolin lately, but that's kind of what makes it seem brilliant. We know both of them are hilarious (Brolin from Flirting With Disaster, Theron from Arrested Development), and with Cody's writing skills and Reitman's skill for differing comic tones, it could be a movie worth of that "from the people who brought you Juno" tagline.

Of course, Brolin's just a rumor right now, so don't get too excited (like, uh, I may have). Maybe if we're all excited enough about it we'll collectively have the power to make it happen? Come on, Internet hive mind! Don't let me down!
