That's right, folks. Another Snow White story.

When it comes to casting in the great Snow White Race Of 2011, none of the three competing projects hold a candle to Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman. With today's news that Kristen Stewart will play be playing the female lead, all of the main parts in that film are now taken, with Viggo Mortensen playing the Huntsman and Charlize Theron playing the Evil Queen. If anything, though, that's only going to make Relativity Media and Disney more competitive, which is why this story has arrived.

As first rumored back in mid-December, Julia Roberts has entered talks to star as the Evil Queen in Relativity Media's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, according to Vulture. Set to be directed by Tarsem Singh, the project is described as a dark, edgy re-imagining of the classic fairy tale that turns the dwarfs into robbers instead of miners and apparently involves a dragon. Melisa Wallack, who wrote the 2007 Aaron Eckhard film Meet Bill, wrote the script.

Is this what the rest of 2011 is going to be like? Story after story about three projects that are all based on the same thing but tweaked in one way or another? This has headache written all over it.
