There is still a little less than half an hour until the end of Valentine's Day on the west coast, but already we're getting trailers for films that won't be out until next year's annual celebration of love. Steve Pink's upcoming remake of the romantic comedy About Last Night won't be released in theaters until this date in 2014, however, Screen Gems has decided to start getting audiences ready for it right now by releasing the first ever red band trailer...and it certainly is a strange one.

Rather than being your normal straight up trailer = featuring quick cuts, practically all of the film's best lines, and perhaps a few spoilers from the third act - the first look at About Last Night can be better described as being a few clips stitched together in the most haphazard way possible. It should also be noted that while the spot is technically restricted, there isn't really any content in it that you'd think would be R-rated. See it for yourself below, courtesy of Yahoo!

Directed by Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine) and based on the David Mamet play, About Last Night centers on a couple that finds themselves falling in love, but have their relationship complicated by their closest friends. Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Joy Bryant star in the film, which, as mentioned, will be in theaters on February 14, 2014.

This is certainly a very odd first trailer, but does it get you excited to see the movie? Let us know in the comments below.
