There's a fine line to walk while making movies about financial institutions. If you're dialogue and story is too technical, you make a smart film that alienates every member of the audience that has no idea what's going on. On the other side, however, if you dumb everything down and make it too simple the characters look idiotic. It's an issue that may very well come up when Margin Call, the debut film from writer/director J.C. Chandor, comes out in October.

Sporting an amazing cast that includes Stanley Tucci, Zachary Quinto, Kevin Spacey, Demi Moore, Jeremy Irons, Simon Baker, Paul Bettany and Penn Badgley, the film is set during a 24-hour period at the start of the United States financial crisis in 2008. The movie made its debut at this years Sundance Film Festival and also played at the Berlin Film Festival, where it earned strong reviews and was nominated for the latter's Golden Bear Award (the highest prize).
